Morrowind Construction Set NPC Window Inventory Items[edit]
When I double click on a NPC then their NPC window comes up I can't fully tell what some items with long names are in their inventory. Like 2/3 of long items names are blocked off. Is there a workaround for this? Tamriel&Sovngarde (talk) 17:07, 3 June 2013 (GMT)

Trebonius's Spells Question[edit]
Can Trebonius's spells be put in a chart like the spells for Solea Nuccusius? Dragon Guard (talk) 20:03, 4 June 2013 (GMT)
- The charts are only for when they SELL the spells, which Trebonius does not. If they just have the spells, then they should be in prose, and the ones that they sell should be in a table. Make sense? Jeancey (talk) 20:08, 4 June 2013 (GMT)
- Yes, it makes sense. Also on Socucius Ergalla's NPC page it lists a spell he uses in a chart, not in his character description at the top of his page. Dragon Guard (talk) 20:15, 4 June 2013 (GMT)
Finding Gold In Morrowind Construction Set[edit]
Where is gold found in the Construction Set? I have looked in leveled items and I can't see it there. Dragon Guard (talk) 17:38, 5 June 2013 (GMT)
- Found it in misc items at last. In Socucius Ergalla's inventory in the Construction Set it says he has random gold, where can info on this be found in the leveled items section? It has the same thumbnail picture as the leveled items do. So why is it not there? Dragon Guard (talk) 17:45, 5 June 2013 (GMT)

MW:Buildings[edit]
Hey Jeancey. I remember bringing up this page a few nights ago in the IRC. I saw on another talk page that you were planning on creating house/building pages for Morrowind houses/buildings and adding them to that list. I just had the thought (for some reason, I'm random like that) that whenever you'd like to get started on this that you add a Bot Request to get a jump start on this and make your life a little easier.
This is probably thinking way in the future (or maybe you already had this planned...), but I'll probably forget, so here it is :p *WoahBro►talk 16:06, 14 June 2013 (GMT)
[Dragonborn DLC] Tharsten Race; Imperial or Breton?[edit]
He is shorter than Nords, but he is treated as an Elder race in-game. Is the name Tharsten a Breton or Imperial name? I am trying to make him look like my character in Skyrim. It seems that Bethesda copies Imperial, Nord, and Breton races then replaces this with Elder character old wrinkle textures on them. Also, is Arngeir a Nord? He probably is. Dragon Guard (talk) 10:40, 15 June 2013 (GMT)
Alinor in ESO?[edit]
Hello, you said that Alinor is stated to appear in ESO in a Zenimax interview (link below). Could you send me a link to the interview? I'm genuinely curious since looking at the Aldmeri Dominion Q&A (link below also) it says that only Auridon (Moridunon) appears in ESO, which would make it impossible to visit Alinor. Cheers!

Miraak Age[edit]
How old is he, approximately? Dragon Guard (talk) 08:29, 4 July 2013 (GMT)
- No one knows. Probably since the early first era, possibly late merethic era. We have to hard evidence so nothing about his age can be added to the wiki. Jeancey (talk) 08:38, 4 July 2013 (GMT)
-
- How many years ago was the early first era and the late merethic era? Dragon Guard (talk) 10:28, 4 July 2013 (GMT)
- 200+430+900+2900=4430 years ago (approximately) the merethic era ended and the first era began. We have absolutely no dates in the merethic era at all. We don't know how long it was, when any event at all happened. So late merethic could be at any point prior to the first era and after the middle of the merethic. That is about as accurate as we can be. Jeancey (talk) 10:37, 4 July 2013 (GMT)

Miraak Quest Links Redundant[edit]
How is it incorrect? The quest links are like that on Captain Veleth's page. If it was incorrect on Captain Veleth's page, someone would have removed it on his page. Dragon Guard (talk) 10:27, 4 July 2013 (GMT)
- They aren't like that on the captain veleth page at all. It does not use the quest link template in any way, shape or form in the quest events section. Jeancey (talk) 10:34, 4 July 2013 (GMT)
Online:Places - Alinor[edit]
You said that Zenimax mention "mention being able to see the spires of Alinor" in their Ask Us Anything Q&A. This is false. Also, the Q&A confirmed that Alinor is NOT in ESO because only Auridon is explorable; Zenimax never mentioned Alinor in their answer. I'm not going to make any more edits because this is getting silly, but you shouldn't spread false info like "being able to see the spires of Alinor" in ESO or that Zenimax haven't confirmed whether we can't visit Alinor. AldmeriDominion (talk) 12:29, 5 July 2013 (GMT)
- Just because only Auridon is explorable does not preclude the possibility of Alinor (JUST the city) from being in the game and part of some event or quest. Imagine a single quest that requires you to visit Alinor and perform some sort of action. This happens in games all the time. Since it was mentioned in the interview, we include it. Please do not remove it again until either the game is released (and it is confirmed not in the game) or until a specific statement says that it is not included. Jeancey (talk) 19:14, 5 July 2013 (GMT)
- The comment about the spires being visible isn't from anything official, and though (after some discussion in the IRC) Jeancey was basing some of his view on an unattributed quote from the PGE1 Aldmeri Dominion, I see enough evidence to keep the location on the page. Queen Ayrenn has her throne (as queen of the High Elves) in Alinor; she rules the Dominion from Elden Root. Notice that there are plenty of other locations named in various places, but not confirmed as being in the game. Also, the game will feature every province in Tamriel, and it is extremely unlikely that Alinor will not be in the game, especially since there are already known connections to it. I was the one to actually add the location when I created the page. I explored numerous hands-on reports from journalists, all the official releases (interviews / videos / screenshots) for named places. I do not intend looking for a confirmation source again, as I simply wouldn't have had reason to do add it if there wasn't one. Silence is GoldenBreak the Silence 20:56, 5 July 2013 (GMT)
Generic Dialogue for Skyrim voicetypes, e.g. MaleNordCommander voicetype[edit]
Where can dialogue for Skyrim voicetypes for generic things go? e.g. Using a shout in front of Captain Aldis? (Who uses this voicetype) so where does it go instead of putting it on every single NPC's page who uses the MaleNordCommander voicetype? Dragon Guard (talk) 19:06, 10 July 2013 (GMT)
- Uh, I'm working on a generic dialogue page. Anyone can edit it, so you may want to add it there. --Quill-Tail? ! 19:08, 10 July 2013 (GMT)
Riekling Language Page[edit]
Would there be able to be a page on riekling language translations or would it get to speculative? Dragon Guard (talk) 20:56, 17 July 2013 (GMT)
- Too speculative. We have exactly ONE translated word. That's it. There is absolutely no way of ever knowing more than that. Jeancey (talk) 20:57, 17 July 2013 (GMT)
-
- An index page similar to Lore:Dragon Language would be pointless, since most of it is gibberish. All the Dragonborn dialogue can be found here, along with the translations. —Legoless (talk) 20:59, 17 July 2013 (GMT)
- Are rieklings creatures or a type of humanoid? Creatures don't have vocal cords. It makes me think how rieklings can pronounce sounds and slight words and all that. Dragon Guard (talk) 21:00, 17 July 2013 (GMT)

- I have given it thought how rieklings have learned to speak. They have lived on Solsthiem for at least 200 years. Which will be a long time for them to settle their tribal ways. (Since Morrowind, anyway) Also, giants can say the translatable line: "Ayarg garag gar!" Rieklings and giants do have similiar ways of living: e.g. tribal, territorial, etc. Dragon Guard (talk) 21:28, 17 July 2013 (GMT)

Sandbox 1 Help[edit]
In sandbox 1, I am working on generic voiced NPC dialogue. Since you are knowledgeable with the Morrowind CS, I thought you could help me with this generic dialogue project I am working on about generic dialogue in Morrowind. Dragon Guard (talk) 16:39, 29 July 2013 (GMT)

Hi Jeancey, I swiped a copy of your progress bar (which I saw on the Resdayn Record page) and took it to the Minecraft Wiki. One of the admins there found it useful and made a few modifications to it. In the spirit of Commons and Sharealike, I thought I'd share the link with you, as you might find something amongst the modifications done over there useful. I see you tagged your sandboxed copy with Category:Templates Copied from Other Sites, so I assume you didn't create this template yourself, either. All the best — Daric✐ 12:09, 31 July 2013 (GMT)
Morrowind: PC Clothing Modifier[edit]
Where abouts in the Construction Set can I find info on what this is? Some dialogue uses this but since I don't know what it is, I cannot work out conditions to trigger the dialogue. Guard of DragonsSpeak To Me 16:24, 7 August 2013 (GMT)

Morrowind: Male Nord Attack Quotes[edit]
In the CS for the attack quote: "You're bested!" In the result it says: ;PCRace=1;[Argonian]. It doesn't list this in the speaker condition though. Does this still mean the Nord will say this only if the attacker is a Bosmer/Wood Elf if it is only in the result? Guard of DragonsSpeak To Me 11:12, 9 August 2013 (GMT)
Morrowind:Elenwen[edit]
Why is it a redirect and not an NPC page? I thought that NPC pages are supposed to be about them, not be a redirect? Guard of DragonsSpeak To Me 19:59, 9 August 2013 (GMT)
- Many NPCs in the Morrowind namespace are not relevant enough for their own pages, and instead have their basic information saved as values in a redirect to put in a concise table on the proper page. Elenwen is one of those NPCs, as she has no unique dialogue, provides no services, etc. — ABCface◥ 20:11, 9 August 2013 (GMT)

- Well, that is a shame, because there can't even be thumbnails of the NPC on their location page. Guard of DragonsSpeak To Me 20:22, 9 August 2013 (GMT)
Mudan Grotto Images[edit]
Hey Jeancey. I was about ready to take some interior images for the Mudan Grotto page and happened to notice that there was already one interior image on the page. The image is a picture of the Easter Egg located in the Mudan, Right Tower area. Based on the guidelines of the project, should the image be moved from its current name (MW-interior-Mudan Grotto.jpg) to MW-interior-Mudan, Right Tower.jpg? I'm fairly certain that it should be, but just wanted to double check. Thanks in advance! Forfeit (talk) 23:37, 11 August 2013 (GMT)
- I'm going to hop in for Jeancey, but I think it should stay as it is currently. Every interior afterward would be named MW-interior-Mudan 1, 2, 3, etc. Jeancey may say something different, but this is what I think he would say. *WoahBro►talk 23:50, 11 August 2013 (GMT)
- This is true for all the images in the same zone of if the area only has one zone. However, the image names for different zones reflect the actual name of that zone. For example, on the Assemanu page, one image was called MW-interior-Assemanu.jpg for the first zone while the image for the second zone was called MW-interior-Assemanu, Shrine.jpg. As the project page states: "This means that for large dungeons with multiple sub-zones, the image should be named for the precise name of the sub-zone, which generally includes the name of the main dungeon itself. An example of this would be the Dwemer ruin of Arkngthand, which has six separate sub-zones. The interior image for the Hall of Centrifuge sub-zone should thus be named

House vs house[edit]
I noticed on a couple of the house pages I have been setting up that you've changed, for example, "Alval Uvani's House" to "Alval Uvani's house". This typically would seem correct to me, but shouldn't the "H" be capitalized since it is the actual name of the area? This would be like using "Exhausted mine" instead of the actual name of the area "Exhausted Mine" just because mine is not typically capitalized in normal situations. From what I have seen in the past, the mine, cave, or whatever else has been typically capitalized when it is the name of the area (e.g. 13 samples of bread can be found in Dangerous Mine). I'm not sure if there has been a ruling on this in the past, but I just want to get it squared away so there isn't capitalization inconsistencies across the wiki. Forfeit (talk) 23:55, 12 August 2013 (GMT)
- Well, the way I look at it is that it is someone's house. The name describes the house, so it isn't a proper name. If it were Uvani House, then house is capitalized, but Uvani's house isn't. Does that make sense? Exhausted Mine is a proper name, not a descriptor of the mine. The mine isn't Exhausted, after all. Jeancey (talk) 23:58, 12 August 2013 (GMT)
- That does actually. I personally thought it should be lower-cased too, but looking around on the wiki, a lot of the Oblivion book pages and the various ingredients pages typically use H over h, such as sweetroll for just one example. I like your reasoning though and though it was a little strange to capitalize house, so I will use "house" over "House" in the future. Forfeit (talk) 00:07, 13 August 2013 (GMT)

- I'm not sure I follow this reasoning. Would this logic not lead to odd capitalisation like "Mehrunes' razor"? Just because a name is possessive doesn't automatically disqualify it from being a proper name. —Legoless (talk) 01:32, 13 August 2013 (GMT)
- Mehrunes' Razor is a specific object. There aren't multiple of Mehrunes' things laying around, like Mehrunes' toothbrush or something. It doesn't disqualify it from being a proper name, but in the instance of the houses, if it is Alval Uvani's house, clearly the name is simply describing the ownership of the house, not a proper name for that house. You would never say "I went over to that Alval Uvani's House place" but you would say "I went over to that Arborwatch place." Make any more sense now? Jeancey (talk) 01:51, 13 August 2013 (GMT)

(←) Sorry to get off topic now, but I have turned so fascinated now of the thought of Mehrunes' toothbrush that I just can not get the thought out of my head. Adding a diabolicly, or quite possibly rather a daedricly clean smile to your face. —MortenOSlash (talk) 14:45, 13 August 2013 (GMT)
- I think Legoless brings up an interesting point with Goblin Jim's Cave. A similar example I thought of was Fathis Aren's Tower. However, looking at some quotes from in-game, "house" is usually not capitalized in this way. Plenty of examples can be found on Amusei's page, with one being: "Please travel to Ganredhel’s house in Cheydinhal." In contrast, Goblin Jim's Cave is capitalized in Fadus' dialogue about the location: "You heard of 'Goblin Jim's Cave'? It's a big one. It's a long walk due north of Skingrad, in the Imperial Reserve... a long way from civilization." Also, at least the way I read it, it seems like he's referring to the area as a place called "Goblin Jim's Cave" rather than a cave owned/lived in by Goblin Jim (i.e. Goblin Jim's cave).
