Quick Walkthrough

1. Talk to Saverius Albuttian in Charach's Saint Naharine Sailors' Home about get me out.
2. Tell Ovus Gesarus that the two of you are going out to eat.
3. Talk to Saverius and lead him out of the door.
4. Either:
   • Give Saverius the requested 75 gold.
   • Refuse to pay his fare.
5. After one day has passed, speak to Saverius in Anvil's Garden Quarter about get me out.
6. Lead Saverius back to the Sailors' Home.
7. Speak to Ovus about Saverius Albuttian.

Detailed Walkthrough

The Saint Naharine Sailors' Home lies on the south side of Charach, within the walls. It's not for everyone - and one guest, Saverius Albuttian, feels more like an inmate. Speak to him, and he'll ask you to help get me out. Agree, and a grateful Saverius will note that he's no longer permitted to leave the Sailors' Home alone, with the man at the desk (Ovus Gesarus) having prevented it in the past. Saverius asks you to tell Ovus that the two of you are going out for tea. Do so - Ovus will believe you. Then speak to Saverius to lead him from the home.

Once you exit, Saverius will ask you for 75 gold to pay for his transport to Anvil. Whether you do or not makes no difference to the quest outcome. It only affects your pocket.

You can encounter Saverius again, in Anvil, once a day has passed from his initial escape. He appears outside the pawnbroker store in Little Arenthia. His tune has changed, and he is now penniless and very hungry. He'll ask you once more to get me out - this time requesting that you return to the sailor's home. Agree, and he will follow you - you'll need to lead him all the way back to the Saint Naharine Sailors' Home in Charach.

Once back inside with Saverius, you can now talk to Ovus, who (unfazed by your little fib earlier) will reward you for restoring Saverius to the home's care. Saverius will remain silent, although a later return to the home will reveal that he has not given up on attempting an escape.

20		I received permission to take Saverius Albuttian out to eat.
30	Finishes quest	I escorted Saverius out of the Sailors' Home. He was overjoyed at first, but quickly realized he had no money to charter a boat to Anvil. I gave him some gold to cover the fare.
35	Finishes quest	I escorted Saverius out of the Sailors' Home. He was overjoyed at first, but quickly realized he had no money to charter a boat to Anvil. He asked if I could cover the fare for him, but I declined.
40		Ovus Gesarus at the Saint Naharine Sailors' Home is concerned about Saverius Albuttian's disappearance. When I revealed that I helped him escape, Ovus told me that Saverius has attempted to leave several times before, but always came back before long. Ovus asked me to bring him back if I see him again.
50		I found Saverius Albuttian in Little Arenthia. He seems disheveled and begged me to take him back to the Sailors' Home in Charach. When I offered to help, he started following me.
100	Finishes quest	I brought Saverius Albuttian back to the Sailors' Home.
110	Finishes quest	As thanks for bringing Saverius Albuttian back, Ovus Gesarius gave me some restore fatigue potions.
120	Finishes quest	Saverius Albuttian is dead.
125	Finishes quest	Ovus Gesarus is dead.
