Quest-Related Events[edit]
He will appear once you gave Haraldar the recipe, spices and herb for the meadery. You will find him out in the eastern part of the meadery grounds, clutching to his wounds:
- "Waghh! Blasted Stormfist cowards!"
Yraldar has been injured while hunting down Stormfist soldiers and he wants you to find the Stormfist leader responsible for killing his brother's wife and to take his head to put on a pike:
- "If I hadn't taken a dagger in the ribs, I'd deal with these damn Stormfists myself!"
- You must be another one of the Snowpeak brothers.
- "I'm the tough one! I've taken down some of the Sotrmfist soldiers, but their leader Kazok still lives. He's the one that killed poor Inga. As long as he's alive, these bastards won't leave!
Someone needs to plant Kazok's head on a pike!" - I can help with that.
- "Kazok's camp is up the path behind the barn. Take out more of his troops along the way and that ought to make Kazok angry enough to appear and face you.
When he shows up, kill him. Then we can stick his head on one of these pikes!" - Gruesome, but probably effective. I'll take care of it.
- "An Orc head on a pike will be great for business!
It shows that this meadery is safe and that the Snowpeaks are as tough as nails!"
Speaking to him again, he will think Kazok's head on the pike will discourage future attacks on the meadery:
- "Kazok's head stuck on a pike will give the remaining Stormfists in the area something to think about!"
- Won't an Orc head on a pike scare away customers?
- "An Orc head on a pike will be great for business!
It shows that this meadery is safe and that the Snowpeaks are as tough as nails!"
After you kill Kazok, he will come running in to take the head of the dead Stormfist and will ask you to meet him near the barn:
- Yraldar Snowpeak: "I saw the whole thing. Well done! I wish I could have helped, but you had everything under control."
- Yraldar Snowpeak: "Meet me down near the barn. We need to stick this ugly head on a pike!"
After you meet him at the gate near the barn, he give you the honor of putting Kazok's head on the pike:
- "I can't wait to tell Haraldar that this Kazok bastard is dead."
- What did you do with Kazok's head?
- "Nothing yet, but it needs to get stuck on one of these pikes. That's where it belongs.
You should do the honors. It's only fair, since you defeated him and all. That should put the fear of Shor in the rest of those Stormfist lackeys." - Very well, I'll do it.
Speaking to him before placing the head:
- "Kazok's head stuck on a pike will give the remaining Stormfists in the area something to think about!"
Once you display the Orc's head, he will think this will bring more security to the meadery:
- "Ha! That is a thing of beauty. Kazok's head never looked better!"
- I hope that sends the message you wanted.
- "It might be ugly, but nothing says security like an Orc's head stuck on a pike.
Haraldar will be pleased that I … um, that we … took care of Kazok. It's small comfort for the loss of his wife, but he'll appreciate anything that helps the meadery."
As he walks away, he'll shout:
- Yraldar Snowpeak: "Now we can put this meadery back together again. Thanks!"
After A Friend in Mead is completed, he can be found inside Voljar Farmhouse:
- "Kazok's ugly head on a pike! I can't think of a better way to tell people that Voljar's Meadery makes mead fit for the toughest Nords."
- Have things settled down?
- "Yes. Haraldar and Roruld take care of producing mead and running the meadery.
I just help out where I can. Sometimes tossing a rowdy patron out the door, sometimes working on the farm. I'm glad we came here."
