Haraldar Snowpeak is a Nord and one of the Snowpeak brothers found at Voljar's Meadery. His siblings are Bjoruld, Roruld, Fens Snowpeak, his twin brother Yraldar, and his sister Bergitte.

Quest-Related Events

You'll find him in front of the Voljar Farmhouse. When you approach him, you hear him talking to himself:

"My poor Inga, I promise you the Voljar name will not be forgotten!"

His greeting is the same no matter how you meet him, but your response to his greeting depends on who you started the related quest through. The Stormfists killed the previous owners of the meadery after they refused to give them free mead. Haraldar vows to reopen the meadery due to a promise he made to his recently-slain wife.

"I've got to get the meadery open again. I made a promise!"

What is this place? "This is Voljar's Meadery. Makes the sweetest mead you'll ever taste … at least, it did. Then the Orcthane sent his Stormfist thugs. He demanded free mead for his troops. Their brute of a leader got carried away. He killed the Voljar family." That's terrible! "More than you know. They killed my wife, Inga. She was Old Man Voljar's daughter. I plan to reopen the meadery. My brothers came to help. We need to get rid of the Stormfists and gather the ingredients Roruld needs to start fermenting mead again." I'll lend a hand.

Your brother said you might need some help. "You picked a bad time to visit Voljar's Meadery, friend. It used to make the sweetest mead you ever tasted. But that was before the Orcthane's thugs showed up demanding free mead. Their leader got angry and lost control. He killed the Voljar family." That's terrible. "More than you know. They killed my wife, Inga. She was Old Man Voljar's daughter. I plan to reopen the meadery. My brothers came to help. We need to get rid of the Stormfists and gather the ingredients Roruld needs to start fermenting mead again." I'll lend a hand.

After agreeing to help the Snowpeak brothers to rid of the Stormfist presence and retrieve the recipe book, you can ask him questions about the meadery:

"I'm a farmer, not a fighter, and the place is still crawling with Fildgor's thugs. Maybe you could get into the meadery and make sure it's safe.
Once inside, grab the recipe book and some fragrant herbs and rare spices. We'll follow behind you."

Are you sure you want to run the meadery?

"My wife loved this place. It's been in her family for generations. I want to keep the tradition going to honor her memory.
My four brothers came to help. I'm grateful, but they aren't always as useful as I'd like them to be.

Will you change the name of the meadery?

"No. No other name would fit.
Mugs of Voljar's mead have been raised to seal bargains, toast brave Nords, and end challenges for hundreds of years. We plan to continue that tradition."

Were you here when the attack occurred?

"No. Inga and I live near Solitude. She came to visit, to help her parents prepare orders for the Konunleikar.
She wrote to me and said there was trouble. By the time I got here, it was too late."

What do you want me to again? (Appears if you started the quest through Fens)

"I'm a farmer, not a fighter, and the place is still crawling with Stormfists. Could you go to the meadery and make sure it's safe.
Once inside, grab the recipe book and some fragrant herbs and rare spices. Then Roruld can start making mead again."

After you collect the recipes, herbs, and spices from the meadery, Haraldar meets you inside. You will give him the recipe, herbs and spices:

"We followed you and Yraldar dealt with the remaining Stormfists before heading back out. The meadery is completely secure now.
Roruld is already at work downstairs. We want to start filling orders as quickly as we can."

I collected the recipe book, herbs, and spices.

He will mention that Roruld needs assistance to help get the first batch of mead started and that Yraldar is adamant of hunting down the Stormfist responsible for killing Inga:

"Thank you! This has been difficult, but I'm grateful.
Roruld muttered something about honey and giants. If you're up to it, I'm sure he could use your help to get his first batch of mead started."

I'll see what he needs.

"As soon as we're up and running, you can have all the mead you can drink!
Oh, by the way. Have you met my twin brother, Yraldar, yet?"

I haven't run into him.

"Yraldar's outside somewhere. He hates losing, and I know he wants a crack at the Orc bastard that killed my Inga. If you see Yraldar, make sure he isn't in over his head.
Fens should be along shortly. I just wish I knew where Bjoruld was."

Speaking to him again before you speak to Roruld:

"Nothing can replace my poor Inga, but what you've done has certainly raised my spirits."

After speaking to Roruld and before dealing with the giant:

"Inga would be so happy to see the meadery open again."

After you got the giant's toe and before speaking to Roruld, you can find him inside the meadery again:

"I'm not sure what we would have done without your help."

After speaking with Roruld and before you find the honey and Bjoruld:

"I've already sampled some of Roruld's first batch of mead. It's very good."

After you got the honey and before speaking to Roruld:

"Make sure you try some of Roruld's special batch. That's some damn fine mead!"

After speaking to Roruld and before drinking the mead:

"Go on. Take a drink. It won't kill you."

After you have sampled the mead:

"Well, look who's finally up and about!"

My head hurts.

"You really can't hold your mead. Roruld's latest batch must have been pretty potent!
The Voljar name has always stood for fine mead. In memory of my wife, we plan to continue that tradition. Thanks for your help."

Dialogue

After the quest, he can be found in the meadery.

"I think my Inga would be pleased that her family name and business will go on. And we're making some damned fine mead, if I do say so myself."
