Rowdy Tharden is a Nord who works for Baron Carvain. He can be found in the Ontus Carvain Ranch Offices, where he will be guarding the Baron.

Dialogue

Speaking with him before starting the related quest:

"These are the offices of the Carvain Ranch, not a public house or waystation. If you have business here, get on with it. If you don't get out."

Quest-Related Events

While helping Constable Yabren continue her father's investigation of the recent deaths in Ontus, she will ask you to speak with both Baron Carvain and Lady Raxalee, who own the local ranch and quarry respectively.

When you enter the Carvain Ranch Offices, you will find Rowdy Tharden leaning against a wall. Speaking with him before you enter the Baron's office:

"You're the new deputy that's been running around town asking questions. I'm not inclined to appreciate such activity. Bear that in mind as you conduct your business with the baron."

While you are speaking with the Baron, you will find Tharden has followed you inside the office. Speaking with him before leaving:

"You heard the baron. We've got nothing to hide."

After this you will search the nobles' residences and Zeggar's Blind and uncover the reasons behind the recent sickness and deaths. When Constable Yabren goes to warn Ghrakug, she is ambushed by mercenaries and taken to the Ontus Reservoir where Baron Carvain and Lady Raxalee plan to frame her for the fever fatigue.

When enter the Ontus Reservoir, you will find Constable Yabren chained up with Baron Carvain demanding she sign the confession letter. Meanwhile Rowdy Tharden and Mercenary Adder prepping barrels to dump the fever causing elixir into the water supply. Once the nobles notice you, they will order the mercenaries to kill you.

Constable Yabren: "Deputy, you stop the mercenaries. I'll go after Carvain and Raxalee."

<Constable Yabren runs out the gates.>

Rowdy Tharden: "Let's get this over with."

Mercenary Adder: "I never did like law folk."
