Lady Raxalee is an Argonian noble who owns the Raxalee Quarry near Ontus. Alongside the Carvain Ranch, the quarry provides much of the employment for the town. She earned her title from Emperor Leovic and her home Raxalee Tower can be found northeast of Ontus.

Quest-Related Events

While helping Constable Yabren continue her father's investigation of the recent deaths in Ontus, she will ask you to speak with both Baron Carvain and Lady Raxalee, who own the local ranch and quarry respectively.

Lady Raxalee will be at her desk in the Raxalee Quarry Offices in town. Speak with her about the recent deaths by fever:

"If you're looking for work, please talk to Quarry Boss Laurina. I have more important things to do than deal with common laborers."

I'm not here for a job. I'm assisting Constable Yabren with an investigation.

"Yabren's back? I assumed she was fighting in Cyrodiil or guarding the count's precious bear. If this is about Ulbren's suspicions, I'll tell you what I told the healer. My quarriers enjoy the rewards that come with hard work. Illness is not an issue."

Constable Ulbren's notebook indicated that he was planning to talk to you.

"Did it? I don't recall any standing appointments. The constable always treated me with the respect I deserve.
He never found it inconceivable that Emperor Leovic personally granted an Argonian an Imperial title. Not like Baron Carvain."

So your business hasn't suffered due to fatigue fever?

"My business is none of your concern. We struggled in the past and were almost forced to sell to Carvain, but we turned things around. All it took was a war, a demand for stone, and for our quarriers to work a little harder.
Now, please leave."

If you try talking to her afterwards:

"I believe our interaction has concluded. Take your suspicions and go bother someone else."

After this you will search the nobles' residences and Zeggar's Blind and uncover the reasons behind the recent sickness and deaths. A strange stone was found in Raxalee Quarry, and tests by an Alchemist Surius found it is could be used in creating an elixir that could increase the productivity of the workers, with some ... side effects. Lady Raxalee and Baron Carvain then entered an alliance to benefit from this, and wrote off the resulting deaths of their workers. When Healer Nevama and Constable Ulbren were found to be getting too close to the truth, they had the alchemist kill them. But more urgently, they have enlisted his services now to do the same to Ghrakug and you. As for Constable Yabren, they plan to frame her for the fatigue fever instead.

When Constable Yabren goes to warn Ghrakug, she is ambushed by mercenaries and taken to the Ontus Reservoir. Racing to the reservoir, you will find Constable Yabren chained up. Meanwhile, Baron Carvain and Lady Raxalee will be having their bodyguards Rowdy Tharden and Mercenary Adder prepping barrels to dump the fever-causing elixir into the water supply:

Baron Carvain: "Agree to sign the confession, Yabren. My patience won't last forever."

Constable Yabren: "Over here! Get me out of these bonds!"

Lady Raxalee: "Give me that. I'll sign her damn name! In case you haven't noticed, we've got company."

Baron Carvain: "The deputy! Mercenaries, kill them and dump the elixir into the reservoir! Come, Raxalee. We need to get out of here."

Once Constable Yabren is freed, she will chase after the fleeing nobles and you will need to fight the mercenaries. After you have slain both of them, you can catch up to Constable Yabren and find she successfully stopped them. Talking to Lady Raxalee before Constable Yabren:

"I knew this was a bad idea. Why did I ever let that alchemist talk me into this?"

Speaking with Constable Yabren, she will explain that she will have them sent to Skingrad to be tried by a magistrate. If you talk to Lady Raxalee afterwards she will accept her fate:

"Fine. Lock us in irons and take us to the magistrate. I'll accept whatever punishment they decide."
