A suggestion![edit]
Hey there! Just wanted to commend you on an awful lot of great work (sorry for being so late, things are rather hectic around here) and thank you for showing exactly the eye for detail we want. I do, however, have a suggestion for you – no worries, this is basically just an idea for better use of great content. What we have right now is a Rjorn's Drum quest page with absolutely no info, and a Halldir's Cairn place page with 95% of the info the quest page needs.
My suggestion is simple, really – take what can be considered quest-related info from the place page and get a walkthrough up and running on the empty quest page, using the exact same text. When you’re finished with the quest page, empty the place page a bit, and keep only the most place-related info, stuff that’s related to Halldir’s Cairn, but resembles a place page a bit better. Hope you like the idea and that you’re willing to give the (actually really great, but bugged) Drum quest the attention it deserves. Otherwise, please let me know on my talk page. Also, let me know if there's anything I can do to help out, regardless. All the best and keep up the good work! --Krusty 08:39, 4 December 2011 (UTC)
- I'll make note, I missed some of that stuff and in the beginning got in a bad habit of not spidering out because it was impossible. Now Nephele did a great job of making more pages to spider out on to so its doable. I basically have been playing the game and making notes on a section as I go through it. I spider out when I'm at work using my notes from the main place I already fleshed out. My biggest limitation is I'm playing on the 360 and don't have the nice construction kit to check info thoroughly. Main reason I hate not touching NPC pages as its impossible to fill them out completely without the info from the kit.--Bwross 08:46, 4 December 2011 (UTC)
- The current lack of a CK (or CS or whatever it is called) is actually why I suggest getting the quest-related info on the quest pages as quickly as possible. If there’s one thing the CK is unable to do, it’s quest pages and walkthroughs. It can provide a whole lot of conditions and packages (and can fill out the contents of any place in seconds), but it can’t write or test a quest, nor can it provide much background lore or atmosphere. That’s why personal and well-written quest pages has the highest priority right now – it’s the only thing we’re 100% sure has to be done by humans – from the game. --Krusty 09:01, 4 December 2011 (UTC)

Icons[edit]
Please, can you hold off on the icons? We are going to be using the game's knotwork for the faction quests. Thanks. elliot (talk) 08:13, 29 December 2011 (UTC)
- Ceased. Seemed to be a bunch with the achievement icons and its how the OB/SI ones were done. Only the Daedrics are done with the knotwork that I can see. A crude version of the main quest (left) is on the site, but its too big right now and could use some polish. I had uploaded it earlier, but didn't like how it looked enough to put it on any pages.--Bwross 08:21, 29 December 2011 (UTC)
- Yeah, I've been meaning to get to those... I just am doing 200 things right now. I will try for this weekend, but I need some version of them uploaded so I can adjust them. Would that be possible? elliot (talk) 08:25, 29 December 2011 (UTC)
- User:Five35 is the one who uploaded a few of the knotworks. There are on the quest page. I could try again to get a decent extraction of the knotwork and blacken it, but I'm not the best with photoshop and may not have time if my first attempt isn't successful. The only ones missing are the Companions and College of Winterhold quest lines (unless there are few others that aren't major - ie: the Bards & Divine ones). User:Ruesp may also know how to get them extracted as he made: SR-Quests-knotwork-dragonborn.png.--Bwross 08:50, 29 December 2011 (UTC)

Dragonstone page[edit]
I saw your page (Bwross/sandbox2) via Recent Changes and I wanted to make a couple of suggestions. Feel free to use them or ignore them as you please.
- Is the guardian of the Dragonstone always a Draugr Overlord? I don't have a PC, so I couldn't check myself, but I imagine that the guardian is leveled. I tackled Bleak Falls Barrow before ever visiting Whiterun, when I was level 3, and I'm pretty sure I only fought a Restless Draugr or a Draugr Wight. I may be wrong here.
-
- Not positive, might be of note to correct. It was an Overlord for me and I was very low level when I did the quest. An easy check would be to new character or looking at the copius YouTube videos will be easy enough to verify.--Bwross 10:54, 30 December 2011 (UTC)
- Format the table similarly to the Dragon Shout pages. Look at Unrelenting Force for a non-template version. The tables are rather similar as it is. Just add page breaks.
-
- It is the table I based it off of. As its not a Thu'um I didn't include that column. The only thing missing would be up top. I tried doing a single DragonFont Shout with < br > and it was producing an error where it would create unwanted <span=XX!@#!@ garbage - so I broke it up.
-
- That used to be a big problem, but it should be fixed now. Type it in as {{DragonFont| The actual words | The font size, preferably 4 | What it should display if you mouse over it }}, but without the spaces separating the bars from the data. Example: HET NOK UN M4L1N DROGGE.Jak Atackka 20:52, 30 December 2011 (UTC)

- Remove these from the translation. It looks messy. It might make more sense to list the possible translation outside of the table rather than have these awkward notes.
-
- Those are actually just personal notes for words I haven't found the exact translation for and were marked for myself to find later. ERKEI(?) means I would have to make a connotative guess, UNour means thats what I suspect it is based on grammar and other translations. I've found 4 different possible translations on sites (two on this one), some of which are obviously wrong with known words mistranslated.--Bwross 10:54, 30 December 2011 (UTC)
-
- Good luck determining which translation is correct. I believe that VOKRii = VO + KRii = (opposite of) kill. I also believe that MahLaaN ≈ Mah + LaaS = fell life. This is distinct from death, so perhaps it means undead? Also, I created a cleaner version of your Dragonstone translation table here. Feel free to use it. Jak Atackka 20:52, 30 December 2011 (UTC)

- Get rid of the number column in the table that shows what mounds the map corresponds to, unless you plan to create a version of the image with the X's labeled. You could replace it with a column that lists it by hold, or just eliminate the column entirely. Also, consider noting whether or not the location is an actual mound or not.
-
- They correspond to map markers, the map isn't finished as I'm missing a point and need to verify which one it is. I may re-number it more logically. I also need a lot of info in those such as coordinates and in game names (if any). I may have that data soon.--Bwross 10:54, 30 December 2011 (UTC)
- The header under "Images" titled "Images of Items Related to Dragon Burial Sites" is redundant.
-
- Thanks missed that. Haven't glossed over this.--Bwross 10:54, 30 December 2011 (UTC)
- Not sure about this one, but does taking the Dragonstone early really weigh you down? I've taken other quest items before the related quests (in fact I'm stuck with one right now, thanks Finn's Lute) and they have no weight. Jak Atackka 08:36, 30 December 2011 (UTC)
-
- May have changed in a patch. When I took it was definitely weighing me down.--Bwross 10:54, 30 December 2011 (UTC)

- It is very much a work-in-progress, thanks though for the input. If you happen to have any of the missing data that I mark with (?) so it stands out feel free to fill it in. I could use a few screenshots if you have the capability:
- Dragon Mound (Earthed)
- Dragon Mound (Unearthed)
- Dragon Mound (Ressurrection) - better than the one already on site for A Blade in the Dark
- Dragon Mound (Awakened Dragon)
- Map of Dragon Burials (Viewed)
- Map of Dragon Burials (On the Table)

- I'd take the screenshots if I could. Unfortunately, I'm on the 360, so no screenshots (or console) for me. Jak Atackka 20:52, 30 December 2011 (UTC)
- ----------------------------------------------
- Just looked at the page, and wow, it looks so much better. Here is some data for the Dragon Burial Sites table:
-
- #6's dragon is Viinturuth.
- #8's dragon is supposedly a leveled Elder Dragon.
- #9's dragon is Nahagliiv.
- #10's dragon is Vuljotnaak.
- Describe #10's location as South of Broken Fang Cave.
- #14 is Random.
- #7 is Random.
- Probably every mound that is not tied to a specific dragon is Random.
- Sources: Dragon and its talk page.

- I have two gripes with the table. One: where's the map that corresponds to the table? It's helpful to see what the numbers are referring to. Two: Is it possible to have the table sortable? Definitely by hold, probably by quest, possibly by coords. With the note cell being below the rest of the info, that might be difficult, but I have faith! Oh, and I should probably point out that the grammar for the description of Dragon Burial Sites is awry. Jak Atackka 03:45, 3 January 2012 (UTC)

Speak to Lod reward[edit]
You added that the reward was 50 gold for the Speak to Lod quest. I got 25 gold as a reward, not 50. An edit I reverted due to unrelated issues also tried to change it to 25 gold. So I was wondering where you got 50 from? I mean, it is possible that the reward varies, or was this just a small error? Minor Edits 11:38, 6 January 2012 (UTC)
- It revolves around the persuasion. Did you persuade him to give you half up front? If you did you get 25 gold then and 25 gold later.--Bwross 21:47, 6 January 2012 (UTC)
Sandbox deletion[edit]
I just messed with your sandbox in order to remove the link you had posted there -- that link isn't supposed to be posted online. If you want to remember it more easily, you should bookmark it in your browser. --NepheleTalk 00:40, 9 January 2012 (UTC)
- Oops didn't know it was a sensitive link. Sorry bout that.--Bwross 04:56, 9 January 2012 (UTC)
FYI[edit]
Since you were the one who added most of the factions to the book pages, I want to direct you to the discussion at Skyrim talk:Faction Books. Thanks! elliot (talk) 10:34, 11 February 2012 (UTC)
