Help Ysgild investigate her brother's transformation
I met a scared archivist on the road in Apocrypha who said he was fleeing the nearby Disquiet Study after it became too dangerous inside. He says he met a Nord on the road who was heading towards the study. I should investigate. [if you take the quest from Archivist Bartalus]

I came across Ysgild and her brother Vorm, who somehow turned himself into a floating book. Ysgild believes that the secret to turning Vorm back into his normal form can be found inside the Disquiet Study. [if you take the quest from Ysgild]

Quick Walkthrough[edit]

  1. Pick up the map.
  2. Retrieve the family's favorite books.
  3. Exit the delve and talk to Ysgild.

Detailed Walkthrough[edit]

You can pick up this quest from Archivist Bartalus north of the Disquiet Study, or accept it directly from Ysgild in front of the delve.

Ysgild's twin brother Vorm, an archivist for Hermaeus Mora, has managed to turn himself into a tomeshell. To help, you will need three books from around the Study. Once you are done speaking to Ysgild, Vorm will produce a map and float away into the Study. Take the map and follow him.

Head north to the second objective, Vorm's favorite science tome. Unfortunately it's missing some pages, which are scattered around the room in easy reach. Beware the

Objective: Take Vorm's Map

Objective: Enter the Disquiet Study
Vorm's cryptic clue hinted that Ysgild needs to gather their family's favorite books. Ysgild prefers adventure books, Vorm enjoys scientific tomes, and their mother was an avid reader of histories. We can find the books in the study.

Objective: Find Vorm's Favorite Book
Objective: Find the Mother's Favorite Book
Hidden Objective: Search the Study

Objective: Exit the Disquiet Study
Finishes quest☑ Ysgild and Vorm are waiting for me outside of the Disquiet Study. I should speak to Ysgild and see if we can return Vorm to his normal form.

Notes
* Any text displayed in angle brackets (e.g., <Alias=LocationHold>) is dynamically set by the game and will be filled in with the appropriate word(s) when seen in game.
  • Not all Journal Entries may appear in your journal; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the quest is done.
  • Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with quests that have multiple possible outcomes or quests where certain tasks may be done in any order. Some stages may therefore repeat objectives seen in other stages.
