Iguanadons.net[edit]

I don't know how to add this or report it. Wrye told me to I could attempt to contact him on his Wrye talk page if I needed to. When I went to post an external link it warned me I could be flagged for violation. I am just looking to prevent that.

Also my post on the talk page didn't get bold header. I don't know how to do that. Is there a way someone can help add that?

Since you weren't actually prevented from making the edit, it wouldn't go on the main false positives page, but I've looked at your edit and added iguanadons.net to our safe list. As for the header, you should have been prompted to enter one right above the edit box. If you weren't, you can always add one manually by putting two equals signs around the header you want (see the header I've added to this message, for example). Change WryeLink[edit]

Hey there how can one edit a link variable? - WryeLink should point to github wrye-bash repository. I also posted in the discussion here but the link was considered dubious - maybe add github to the filter?

I've added GitHub to the safe list. Robin Hood  (talk) 00:49, 30 April 2020 (GMT)

?Abuse?[edit]

I had the headline "2 Camilla's (pure aniversary editon, no mods or fiddling)"

The text was

"While Camilla was tucked up in Goldenhills, I entered Riverwood trader. She (or a clone FFxx xxxx xxxx xxxx) was there too. PRID'ing her and returning to Goldenhills, doing at moveto player proved (to me at any rate) it was duplicate. This maybe because I haven't talked to the 2 suitors." — Unsigned comment by Adsjaldjjfgwetwlla (talkcontribs) at 12:30 on 16 May 2023‎

It took me a minute to realize what the issue was as well. It didn't like the xxxx because it contains xxx. I've modified the filter so it should no longer have a problem with longer sequences of xs. Robin Hood(talk) 16:40, 16 May 2023 (UTC)

Warning for External links[edit]

Here is the warning: Stop hand.svg Adding multiple unnecessary links to an external website is considered to be spamming. Links to UESP-related sites should be added to General:Links. Adding other links solely for the purpose of advertising your website can be considered to be vandalism. If you continue to use the wiki for advertising purposes, this IP address will be blocked from editing. If you believe this edit to be constructive, you may click Save page again to confirm it. (You may also wish to report the incident here.)

What I posted with the link disabled: Duplication_using_2_Containers

Yes, just like Fallout 3, 4, etc... You take any 2 containers close to each other can be used. I do not know when this became something you could do in Skyrim, but it works. PC ver. 1.6.1130.0 Modded. Maybe a mod added? It works with barrels and strong boxes.

container 1: ff001bbd - holds item

container 2: ff001bc2 - empty

type: duplpicateallitems ff00bc2 - press enter while looking at/on ff001bbd [hxxps://imagizer.imageshack.com/img924/329/ST6XSH.jpg Example]

Your Project page states this: Before making a request please check whether you were blocked outright from posting (the warning), or simply asked to confirm your edit (the warning). If you were only warned then please resubmit your edit, there is no need to make a request here unless you know the specific word.

My Thoughts: WHAT confuses me is I got the warning about multiple links and that I may post on the Project Page about the issue, (part of the warning). Yet the the Project Page itself, tells me not to post unless I was blocked. So I post, hours or days later I get blocked, at which time I have no way of knowing why I can't post. NOTE: I use imageshack to upload my screenshots to save the server here from what might be considered bloat. I have nothing to advertise. Daddyattitude (talk) 19:44, 13 January 2025 (UTC)

Hi there, thanks for the message. I looked over the text of both the warning and the instructions on the project page and I couldn't quite figure out what we were aiming for myeself, nor why we were giving conflicting instructions, so I went ahead and adjusted both of them, making sure that they were generally saying the same thing. I'm sure if someone thinks I've lost/missed something with the new wording, they'll be along shortly to let me know. :) Just to reassure you, though, while the abuse filter might block a specific edit, you can only be fully blocked from editing by a human who would look over your edits first and presumably see that they were benign, so there's no need to worry about randomly being blocked without knowing why.
As far as using imageshack, I don't see an issue with it for the time being, especially when you're only using it as an example on a talk page. If it were being used for actual content, then I think we'd prefer it to be uploaded, since that's the general standard and allows for more formatting options and such. When it comes to the abuse filter, I don't want to make an exception for imageshack at this point, since it's much more general purpose than all of our other exceptions and could readily be used for advertising, which is exactly what we want to avoid. That's always open for discussion, though, if you feel there's a good case for it.
If there's anything else, please let me know. Robin Hood(talk) 23:15, 13 January 2025 (UTC)
I found a possible conflict over discussions topics. I put it on my talk page because right now I am not sure where I should put comments and opinions. --Daddyattitude (talk) 20:13, 14 January 2025 (UTC)
