UESPWiki:Survey Results/Site Use Comments
The UESPWiki – Your source for The Elder Scrolls since 1995
These are the comments for the question:
8. How often do you use the UESP compared to other Elder Scrolls related sites?
Some comments may have been removed or edited from containing personal information or questionable content.
-
- Nearly exclusively. WHen searching for lore I may look up the info on other sites as well.
- See question one
- #1 site
- <3!
- 100 times better than the Elder Scrolls wiki. The site is very informative and thorough!
- 100% exclusive
- 90% of the time I'd say.
- 95% of the time
- 99% of the time
- About 55% UESP, 45% TES Wiki. Some information available on one site cannot be found on the other.
- About 70-80% of my visits on ES-related sites are to the UESP; not including Youtube and Tumblr (as the are not purely ES-themed sites).
- About as much as the Elder Scrolls wikia.
- After you added more pictures of Skyrim NPC I only use UESP.
- Again, much better than the Elder Scrolls Wiki.
- Again, only this site, daily, and often multiple times per day
- Again, The Game information is extremely helpful and informative
- all other sites are for skeeverbutts. =)
- All other sites can't compare to this.
- All the info is here so why go to another site?
- All the other sites have no where near the amount of info and care put into their articles that UESP has.
- Almost always unless I am provided with an incomplete informational page.
- Almost every chunk of info available is on here, and its structured and organized. What would i want more?
- alot better than other sites
- Also use Nexus, mainly for mods
- Also use official forums and Imperial Library
- also use the elder scrolls wiki for cross reference, more completeness
- Also use the Imperial Library
- also youtube videos
- Always found the info on UESP when I search so I only use UESP
- Always the first site I go to, UESP is the only Elder Scrolls site that I have bookmarked.
- Always use UESP
- Always you guys.
- Always.
- an even split between the uesp and the elderscrolls wikia
- And have done so since Daggerfall
- Any other site has the same base information, sometimes even less, but is less organized and not written with nearly as much interest as editors on this site
- Any other wikia sites about TES are nowhere nearly as accurate nor come close to the information and tips supplied on the UESP (particularly lore, I've found).
- Anything not modding-related I go here. I haven't looked too in-depth at the modding stuff on here yet.
- are there other sites then?
- As a Lore-buff, I sometimes just check the Wikia page when I feel. "There must be more to this". But it's almost never more indeepth info the wikia. It's more or less the same.
- As far as I'm concerned this is the only Elder Scrolls info site
- As I have said, WE ARE THE BEST.
- As I have stated before, UESP is the best and most reliable source.
- As I said before it's the best site about the ES.
- As I said before this site is much easier to use and more detailed
- As I said before, this is the best Elder Scrolls wiki out there.
- As I said, sometimes I find missing pages
- As I said, you're the best, so there's really nowhere else to go. I have you bookmarked on my toolbar.
- As mentioned above, why use any other site when UESP has absolutely everything I need?
- As stated before If It wasn't for downtime early in the morning most times at 4:00am Central time I'd use this site exclusively.
- As stated in previous comments, the UESP is the premiere site for TES information.
- As The Imperial Library becomes more and more defunct and provides fewer and fewer updates, UESP seems poised for dominance.
- Aside from mods, I use UESP solely for info.
- Aside from official Elder Scrolls sites I avoid using other sites, this is my favorite. It's had so much work put into it and is just far more superior.
- Aside from The Imperial Library for a bit of extra lore reading, UESP is all I use.
- Aside from the Nexus, this is the only Elder Scrolls site I regular.
- Aside from the official forums, UESP is the only site I use.
- Aside from the oficial Beth forums I only use UESP
- Aside from where I role-play, this is the only Elder Scrolls related site I go to.
- At first, before discovering this site, I used GameFAQs rather exclusively. I've found that many users copy large quantities of information from this site, and that this site possesses much more comprehensive, detailed, and intricate information.
- Beats Elder Scrolls Wiki by a thousand yards.
- Because its the best! nuf said
- Becouse it's the greatest.
- Been here forever, never had any troubles or bad experiences, and besides, old habits are hard to break.
- Been using it ever since I started playing Oblivion years ago, never saw a reason to stop.
- Besides the Bethesda forums, UESP is my main go to.
- besides the Imperial Library, I find your side to be the most comprehesive outside of directly asking people on the beth forums for help with gameplay/hints/lore/maps.
- Besides the obvious being Bethesda and Zenimax run sites this is the only site I ever need to use.
- Best content site for any Elder Scrolls game.
- Best Elder Scrolls site I have found.
- Best Elder Scrolls site, don't change anything.
- Best layout by far, much better than skyrim wiki
- Best one out there.
- best one, ill use this 99.5% of the time, the rest ill use the skyrim wikia
- Best organization and readability of all I've found.
- Best site about TES series ever - as i mentioned, clean, functional, easy to use, articles wrote on very high level. A+.
- best site and my choice for elder scrolls games
- Best site for TES knowledge hands-down.
- best site i have found
- Best site i've found for info on the Elder Scrolls Games!
- Best site there is for all Elder Scrolls information.
- Best source I've seen.
- Best TES site. ESwiki is new and is just a wiki,UESP feels more...elderscrollsy.
- Best. Website. Ever. For. Anything. Related. To. The. Elder. Scrolls. EVAR!
- Better layout than The Elder Scrolls Wiki
- Better than any other site. Sometimes use skyrim wiki.
- Between this and the Elder Scrolls Wikia, though I use this a lot more, and even have it on my bookmarks bar - because of the lore being far more active, rather than gameplay etc (which is what the wiki focuses on).
- Between this sight and gamefaqs I get what I need. its 80/20 split uesp/gamefaqs
- Beyond Nexus, this is the only ES site I use. I've never had a need to go to another.
- Blows away the competition with accurate and complete information.
- Bookmarked ;) and I love the news section, saves having to search for information.
- By far has the most information, and is very easy to use.
- by far the best site for multiple reasons
- by far the best wiki I've found
- By far the most informative and overall enjoyable Elders Scrolls Site.
- Comments (optional)
- Compared to other places, like the Skyrim wiki, UESP is faster, easier to read, and better laid out. Plus, the walkthrough sections are much, much easier to follow than say, something written on gamefaqs.
- Compared to the new, darker styled site made with Skyrim. You have more, better made articles, and DONT spam ads into my face. Thank you.
- Competition is virtually nonexistent.
- Definitely my favorite TES site!
- Direct comparison is not really applicable. I use this site for reference, other sites for downloads etc.
- Do mod sites count? uesp is my primary source for information
- Don't bother with anything else but the main website for TES
- don't need the guide any more
- dont know any other |:s
- Down with the wikia!
- Dwarfs all other sites that have been made or that will be made.
- either this or the yahoo answers sight is what i use! love this site!
- Elder Scrolls wiki is slightly better for Skyrim, but UESP is miles ahead in how informative it is.
- Elder Scrolls Wikia can suck it!
- elder scrolls wikia has better mobile functionality
- elder scrolls wikia is ran by 14 year olds and I don't know of any other tes wikis since what's the point lol
- Elder Scrolls Wikia just for pictures. Articles here are slow to get them.
- Elder Scrolls Wikia sucks. UESP for life
- Elderscrolls wiki is a close contender, but UESP does have that extra edge in terms of usability ease of use.
- elderscrolls.wikia.com is another site I use, but I find it to be less user-friendly and riddled with annoying ads.
- elderscrolls.wikia.com is simply not as good
- elderscrolls.wikia.com is the only other site I know of, and they complement each other very well.
- elderscrolls.wikia.com would be good if the different games were more separated, but it can be usefull (especialy with new games/DLC, when new info is added "en masse").
- Ever considered a merge with The Imperial Library? I'd like to see that happen someday, everything I need in one place.
- Every other site is basically limited to Skyrim and I think that's sad for such a popular series to be so focused on one title and very biased towards the others saying "Morrowind has bad graphics so it sucks!" or "Oblivion is bad because it has a different magic system!". I chose UESP for the reason of that it's based on everything and links data from one game to another seemingly flawlessly.
- Every other TES information site i've been to is rather confusing.
- Every so often I run across a but that UESP has failed to document. But that has only happened three or so times. When it does, I find either: a) nobody knows about it for at least a week, b) people are complain about it on youtube or c) the questions have been asked and nobody can or cares to answer them. Never like that with UESP. Everything I need to know up front to keep me from crashing the game or doing something stupid.
- Every time I need info on Elder Scrolls games.
- Everything I could possibly need is here.
- Everything I need is here. It's much more informative than any official site.
- Everytime i need to search something about TES, UESP is the first option.
- Everywhere else is messy. Very messy.
- Exceeds the others except in terms of raw text size. The others usually have multiple paragraphs saying the same thing.
- Except for Forum, I go to Bethesda Softworks site for that.
- Except for modding sites.
- Except for the occasional map or image that I don't find on UESP, this is definitely my go-to site! I even had it as my browser's home-page for a very long while!
- exception is obse and the cs.elderscrolls
- Exclusively. For a damn good reason.
- Exclusively. If I get a search on google for TES that brings me to another wiki, I go back and see if UESP has it.
- Exclusively. UESP is the only place I go for Elder Scrolls information.
- Far and away the best TES site I've found.
- Far away the best
- Far better layout than the wiki.
- Fastest and biggest
- Favorite and I like how you don't give exclusive attention to just Skyrim
- First place I check when I need questions answered!
- First place I come to.
- For information, this is the place to go.. During the Skyrim launch i did use another Elder Scrolls wikia, but only because people seemed to update that alot during that time, now i'm back to this one.
- For looking up information I always come to UESP. I've only ever gone to other Elder Scrolls wiki's because the information on UESP is incomplete.
- for me it's this and Bethblog for all my Elder Scrolls needs, sometimes the actual Elder Scrolls site, but rarely
- Frankly, the Elder Scrolls Wikia isn't worth the pixels it's printed on. The only reason I go there is for extra screenshots/large pictures of items, which UESP does not have.
- From the very first time I logged on, to this day, UESP is the ONLY TES wiki site I use.
- XXXX elderscrolls.wikia.com. Seriously.
- Generally good for its' simple design. The easier the better.
- generally I will use UESP once every other elder scrolls session
- Great site - the best hands down!
- Great site!
- Hands down the best Elder Scrolls site out there.
- Have multiple windows open, but UESP is always in front
- have used the new skyrim wiki 1-2 times due to google search result priority
- Here and Nexus - that's about it
- Homepage
- Honestly, I find that UESP does a much better job with providing details than TES wikia pages; especially concerning lore and older TES games (Morrowind being a significant example).
- Hosting mods would be nice
- I almost excusively use the UESP, sometimes the Imperial Library or La Grande Bibliothèque de Tamriel (French site) for lore, and, rarely, Wikia for Skyrim game info.
- I almost militantly use UESP and encourage it over similar wikis, which often lack in specific details or embellish on unimportant aspects.
- I also enjoy the Imperial Library website, but generally for different reasons than why I browse UESP
- I Also use Bethesda website for release info and Imperial Library for Lore and books
- I also use Elder Scrolls wikia, but only when UESP doesn't give me what I want.
- I also use The Elder Scrolls Wiki but UESP is great too and maybe better....
- I also use the Elder Scrolls Wiki often
- I also use the imperial library for lore
- I also use the Imperial Library on certain occasions, primarily referred to from the UESP. If we are including TES modding sites, well, move my answer down a notch.
- I also use the Skyrim blog for character builds and bethblog for game updates.
- I also use the Wikia Elder Scrolls Wiki for info, but it's far less organized.
- I also use theelderscrolls.wikia.com, both are in my favorites bar
- I always come here first, because the layout and color scheme of the Elder Scrolls wiki disgusts me, and Iove this website's layout and content. There is often much, much more helpful information on this website.
- I always come to the UESP first as I know this has the best info.
- I always use UEPS because it is far easier to navigate and a good color scheme so its a lot easier to read the information
- I always use UESP and never any other sites
- I always use UESP for my Elder Scrolls information.
- I am amazed at the well organized content, and great community effort at your site! I rate it #1
- I am bummed when I search for Skyrim info and another wiki is higher on the Google search. I've checked others out but they seem too generic and don't capture the feel of ES.
- I am loyal to the UESP, even though some wikis get the information faster
- I am on this site for information, lore. maps etc, but I also use the official Bethesda Softworks Forums
- I am proud to say I use UESP and ONLY UESP. I believe in loyalty. That and UESP is THE best.
- I assume you're not counting sites like the Nexus for mods, which UESP doesn't compete with, because I use the Nexus a whole lot too.
- I avoid TESWiki like the plague. They don't deserve my link clicks. UESP is vastly superior.
- I bought the Prima Official guide for Skyrim but I still use UESP first and more often.
- I came from other tes sites to the uesp because people were speaking so highly of it. I decided to check it out for myself and came away very pleased. The lore section is immense and I spent days reading it compared to the three or four hours you can devote to others before you are finished. I am now the one who speaks highly of this among my friends and hope this site continues its form of excellence.
- I can almost always find what I need on UESP. Why go anywhere else?
- I can only think of one other site I've used which was the elder scrolls wiki, and wasn't very impressed to be honest.
- I can't find any site with better info.
- I check bethblog and bethsoft only when a major topic hits to compare info
- i check this site everyday for anything i need to know about TES haha
- I checkout elderscrolls.wiki sometimes for bipasses for the numerous bugs and glitches in the games, but you have the best database for lore
- I come here first for everything. Console codes, inparticular, if they don't work(say the Hearthfire codes) I go and check another site and compare.
- I come to this site with all questions about the elder scrolls series and try to fill in the blanks where i can.
- I consider this the definitive website for game information.
- I dislike the elder scrolls wiki because of frequent glitches but they have more articles but I still prefer UESPP
- I do look at some other sites now and then, but I have this website bookmarked and prefer it anyway.
- I do most of my community interactions on other ES sites, such as Tamriel Foundry for Elder Scrolls Online.
- I do my best to steer clear of the cesspool that is wikia. Nexus is the only other relevant site I can think of.
- I do not like the Elder Scrolls Wiki as much as the UESP.
- I do sometimes use the Elder Scrolls wiki, but only to view the Blogs there, because the UESP wiki is much more accurate compared to the Elder Scrolls wiki.
- I do use elderscrolls.wikia as well; it's better for some things, such as alchemy ingredients. UESP is more comprehensive; the layout in wikia is sometimes better.
- I do use UESP when I'm curious about game lores, it is well informed.
- I don't even check other wikis but sometimes i do check bethblog or the eso official site.
- I don't find any other such sites as useful or easy to navigate. I have got all I need UESP.
- I don't know any other elder scrolls related sites :p
- i don't know any other ES sites
- I don't know of any website as helpful as this one.
- I don't like the layout of the elder scrolls on wikia
- i don't need any other websites, UESP has all the info i need!
- I don't really have a need for any other sites.
- I don't see any reason to use any other site.
- I don't support the wiki even if they have more pictures, cause you were there when I needed a guide some years ago. I owe you, I'm loyal.
- I don't use any other Elder Scrolls related sites; UESP has everything I need.
- I don't use any other websites.
- i dont bother with others. uesp has everything.
- i dont use any other elder scrolls sites, "if it ain't on the wiki it ain't anywhere else"
- I dont use any other Elder Scrolls website for game information. this one has it all.
- I even have to avoid google results from that other one. It's stupid though, because it always comes up first! How can we change this?
- I feel that uesp has the most readable site, and the most usable interface. Other sites use too much eye candy and are flooded with generic images which i find very distracting.
- I find it a sensational information site and I don't know where my experiences with The Elder Scrolls games would be without it
- i find it is the number one place to go to to find any info regarding the elderscrolls
- I find it's the best site for Oblivion advice, while the Wiki site is more comprehensive for Skyrim.
- I find other elder scrolls wikis to be very empty and lacking of information where as uesp usualy has everything I could ever hope to know
- i find that there is no need to use other sites
- I find that UESP has most of the info I need in an easily accesible and quick to get to location with descriptive information and nice page design, it also has a charm that I can't quite describe, sort of like Morrowind.
- I find that UESP seems to have answers sooner than the other sites. I like that especially for newly released content.
- I find the info here is more detailed than wikia
- I find the UESP to be superior.
- I find the UESP written far more superiorly to many other TES based wikis.
- I find UESP to be the most helpful to me.
- I found this site while looking for info about a quest in Oblivion, and I liked the layout, ease of use, plethora of content, and attention to detail so much that I just go straight here for help and info, because I know you'll have what I'm looking for.
- I found this website a couple of years ago and it has been the only site I use for Elder Scrolls information
- I generally only use this or the elderscrolls.wikia and I prefer this.
- I genuinely don't see the point of using any other elder scrolls website, because the UESP has everything.
- i go to the elderscrollswiki.com page occasionally if I'm having trouble finding something here, or if google directs me to a page that seems more relevant, but there always seems to be a lack of comprehensive information for some subjects. UESP seems to put a lot more work, research and comprehensive game exploration effort in. (I think other pages just steal info from you guys. Wiki pages header look a bit nicer though... sometimes
- I got to UESP first I want information, but if I want discussion I go to the TES lore subreddit.
- i had a look at another site but i prefer to use this one. and i can find all i need and more on it so why would i need another one
- I hate Wikia, I also personally hate the ES wiki.
- I have an old iPad that works well with this site, other related sites are too demanding and end up being unusable. Other than that this is better laid out site with lots or easily accessible great info.
- I have been on a couple other sites since Skyrim came out to find information not on USEP.COM, but I haven't found them very helpful.
- I have been using the UESP since the day I bought Oblivion. I enjoy the amount of information available and find it very useful and entertaining.
- I have been using UESP since oblivion came out, nothing compares in my opinion.
- I have found it to be the best site, almost always finding what I'm looking for and see no reason to look else where.
- I have found UESP to be the best Elder Scrolls wiki out there. You have plenty of dedicated admins and as previously said, I am privileged to be a member.
- I have found UESP to have the most reliable information.
- I have looked at other sites, but either the theme or layout make it very difficult to find information.
- I have never needed to use another website to get my Elder Scroll information.
- I have never used another website, what more can you need for UESP!
- I have seen some of the other wiki sites, but they do not compare in content or depth of game/universe information.
- I have several sites to cross reference on topics I’m unsure of (Vampire Power, Spell tome availability, Level lists) but uesp is my first source for information.
- I have the uesp book marked on every device i own with internet capabilities.
- i have them both bookmarked, and i usually come here when i need quick info, simply because the other elder scrolls sites are to slow
- I have to admit, elderscrollswikia sometimes, mostly for pictures
- I have to say I love your site. If I do end up going to another site, I will often came back here to check of review what you have.
- I have tried other sites but have found their organization pitiful compared to this and i occasionally blame this site for spoiling me.
- I have tried the elderscrolls.wikia site but very rarely if ever does it contain more information. Plus the layout is not to my taste (UESP breaks down articles a lot more for easier reading) and the white on black background hurts my eyes.
- I have turned to Imperial Library once or twice for different maps, additional semi-canon lore and their lexicon. Once or twice to elderscrolls.wikia.com for game information such as bugs.
- I have used other sites and while they provide information that is occasionaly on par with UESP I much prefer it over the rest. The layout and design have really stuck with me over the years.
- I have used Planet Elder Scrolls a few times, but usually this is the only site I visit, besides mod-related sites.
- I have used the Oblivion and Skyrim nexus sites, but only for modding
- I have used UESP since I have been playing Morrowind, I even would like to thank the UESP for getting me into ARENA and Daggerfall.
- i have yet to find any site that comes close to having as much detail on topics related to TES
- i haven't found any other sites as good as this one when it comes to TES related topics
- I haven't used any other Elder Scrolls related sites as UESP was the first i found and was perfect for my needs
- I just like this site a lot, it's been around for so long.
- I like alot of elder scrolls sites, usually wikia(not so often anymore). but uesp is probably second to it.
- i like how everything is dead on when i search for things here so i dont use any other pages only uesp :D
- I like the layout of this site over the others
- I like the updates on the main page
- I like this design better.
- I like to visit the other wiki, despite its flaws.
- I like UESP so much better than other related sites due to its easy navigation and correct game information
- I look at the Elder Scrolls wikia sometimes too.
- I look at the official wiki for more pictures on DLC's
- I love it compare to other sites.
- I love the UESP, I go on daily(multiple times actually). I prefer it over the Elder Scrolls Wikia page.
- I love this site!
- I mix with both UESP and the Wikia version, depending on the (lack of) information.
- I mostly use the UESP for quickly checking things, and the Imperial Library for lore.
- I much prefer UESP over elderscrolls.wikia.com
- I never use ANY other site for information regarding the elder scrolls.
- I never use any other websites for any TES information; the news page is excellent also as it is conveniently located on the main page and always updated.
- I never use anything else, because there is no need to use anything else. Everything I need is easily found here.
- I never use anything else.
- I occasionally check the official forums for information, but otherwise UESP.
- I occasionally compare with the elder scrolls wikia site, but most of the time UESP info is more complete or consistent
- I occasionally croos check for information or hints at the Elder Scrolls Wiki.
- I occasionally use the http://elderscrolls.wikia.com for images as it uploads then faster, when it comes to the sites actual content I use UESP.
- I occasionally use the normal wiki but that is very rarely.
- I once went to the Elder Scrolls Wiki just to see how it compares, and it is good, but I've just gotten used to the UESP.
- I only ever go to other sites if this one lacks the info, and that's a rare occurrence.
- I only ever use the Skyrim Wiki out of needing map-locations in Skyrim. Otherwise, this is my choice.
- I only ever use UESP. I dont really like the way that The Elder Scrolls Wiki was designed.
- I only go to the Wikia if UESP is missing information (usually about quests or items)
- I only sometimes use Imperial Library or the ES Wikia for any extra lore information.
- I only use a couple other TES sites - the Imperial Library and the TESlore subreddit - and the UESP is my go-to place for game help.
- I only use other resources if I can't find what I'm looking for here. This only happens with new expansions where new things are still being uncovered
- I only use TES Wiki when UESP is down :D I also use native-language websites to check translations.
- I only use the UESP
- I only use the UESP
- I only use the UESP and The Elder Scrolls Wiki
- I only use the UESP, because it's just the best ever!
- I only use the UESP. Why go anywhere else?
- I only use the Wikia if UESP is slow or if I want to compare the two. UESP is still my primary source for game information since it was more comprehensive and older than the Wikia for Elder Scrolls games.
- I only use this And Wikia
- I only use this or the offical website.
- i only use this site no others there really is no need to this site has everything
- I only use this site because its the best the other Elder Scrolls site arn't great.
- I only use UESP
- I only use UESP
- I only use UESP for Elder Scrolls information
- I only visit Imperial library in tandem with UESP, nothing else TES related.
- I only visit The Elderscrolls Wiki if i can't find what I need here, I come here first because of the better mobile interface
- I only visit UESP, Steam Workshops and official TES related sites.
- I originally used the official wiki for TES but this is much easier to navigate and the layout is easier to interpret and to read.
- I personally like UESP because it covers the whole series in terms of everything similar to how Nukapedia is with Fallout. The Elder Scrolls wiki on wikia is fairly new so it is no comparison to UESP.
- I play elder scrolls series games a lot
- I play Xbox 360 versions... so this is the only site I use. (No need for mods.)
- I prefer the UESP over other sites as it is better in offering more information
- I prefer this over the elder scroll wikia in terms of reliability.
- I prefer this site over the official elder scrolls wiki. It feels more complete and i like the navigation better.
- I prefer UESP over other Elder Scrolls wiki's due to it being one of the first and most up-to-date.
- I prefer UESP to the Imperial Library. I find it easier to check lore details, and UESP has all the game info as well.
- I prefer UESPs background coloring, elderscrolls wiki is black and dark and dreary this is brighter while also not treating your screen like it's a piece of paper.
- I prefere UESP, but for some info one needs to visit competitors.
- I pretty much just turn here, to the official forums, or maybe to the Nexus, depending on the type of question.
- I pretty much stopped using various other website when I found UESP because it covers everything I normally look for. It's also simple and loads much faster than many of the other websites I've visited.
- I really only trust the UESP with Elder Scrolls information and news.
- I recommend it to anyone else looking for Elder Scrolls knowledge.
- I saw another elder scrolls wiki once. Nasty place. Did have to do some diggin' to get some Redguard information elsewhere once though.
- I simply typed in "Elder Scrolls Wiki" on Google and this was one of the first sites I found. This website serves as an excellent wiki and is the only one I go to when I need to find out something.
- I sometimes cross-check lore articles with the Imperial Library but I rarely use the Elder Scrolls wiki. This site seems better developed and includes very thorough info on all TES games. The Imperial Library is quick for thumbing through in-game books.
- I sometimes end up on that other Elder Scrolls wiki, but it always just angers me that it isn't UESP.
- I sometimes use Skyrimforums.org sheerly because the environment is different (different size of community/different layout). I wouldn't take that harshly, since I use UESP 5X more than Skyrimforums.org
- I sometimes use the Elder Scrolls Wikia because I find it easier to check weapon information there. I usually prefer UESP, though, especially for lore info.
- I sometimes use the Elder Scrolls wikia for information on individual weapons/armor or other items, but overall UESP is far superior.
- I sometimes use the wiki but prefer UESP as it's easier to traverse
- I split my time between the offical forums/Bethblog, The Imperial Library, and here. IMO, there is no point in going any where else for ES news/discussion.
- I still use the elder scrolls wikia
- I stopped using other sites about 5 years ago.
- I struggled to get information on other sites till I saw someone on a forum refering to this site and I have not used another site since.
- I tend to browns in parallel with the Wikia site. Occasionally something shows up there.
- I tend to go to the forums here a lot and the wiki ocassionally.
- I think I can count on one hand the number of times i've had to go to another site for this data, with 3 fingers cut off. In like 3 years.
- I think that UESP is truly a better wiki than others
- I think the only time I use another site is for when an article for a new game hasn't been filled in yet!
- I think this is an excellent site in comparison to everything else out there.
- I use and have shown many of my friends this site for over 6 years its quickly become a favorite to those i show it too. its fantastic.
- I use elder scrolls wiki occasionally, but that's mostly just cause I default to it due to the look. You guys have better info, but I still like their look so much better.
- I use elderscrolls.wikia.com when I cannot find something on uesp.net, but that is very rarely.
- I use elderscrolls.wikia.com, if UESP does not have the info I need
- I use gamefaqs sometimes but mainly for reviews and likes to other gaming sites to watch review videos
- i use http://www.gamebanshee.com/interstitial/interstitial.html?oldurl=http://www.gamebanshee.com/skyrim/mapofskyrim.php for mapping things out
- I use it completely exclusively.
- I use it since morrowind I think ... great site!
- i use it with another site equaly
- I use Nexus, Creation Kit Wiki and sometimes the Imperial Library. UESP is my primary source for game information and lore
- I use only one other site that i like much less
- I use only the UESP.
- I use other sites for modding but didn't include
- i use other sites to find more information, i have found other sites with a few details more than the UESP.
- I use other wikis since they sometimes have separate articles for specific spells and items/pieces of clothing. Ex. searching for Akaviri Katana redirects to Oblivion's weapons page, not a page for the weapon.
- I use some other Elder Scrolls related sites only to download mods.
- I use TESwiki also because I find it sometimes easier to get the info I need.
- i use the elder scrolls online site as well
- I use the Imperial Library for many lore-related topics, but UESP is by far the best source for in-game info.
- I use The Imperial Library sometimes
- I use the UESP all the time, and if I enter another site, it's usually by mistake. AS I said, I prefer the UESP's design.
- I use the UESP pretty much exclusively as i dislike most other sites, for example the ES wiki.
- I use the uesp site and the official only.
- I use the UESP whenever I need information on the Elder Scrolls, it very rarely never has the info I need.
- I use this along with lexusnexus to get all that I need.
- I use this and http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/ about the same. I check the Elder Scrolls wiki if I have trouble finding something on a map, or to clarify some part.
- I use this site for information on vanilla TES titles and use the nexus for all my mods.
- I use this site more than any others.
- I use this site the most becaue it dosn't talk about other games like cod or anything it is just soley dedicated to the Elder Scrolls collection.
- I use this website and the wiki about the same. Whichever pops up first in my browser is what i normally choose.
- I use this when possible, yet occasionally UESP doesn't have what I'm looking for and I'm forced elsewhere. Please fix this, I prefer how the UESP is set up over other wikis.
- I use UESP a high majority of the time, I only use ElderScrolls.wikia for when I need to find a specific Skyrim quest fast.
- I use UESP and ESWikia simultarneously, side by side, read both when i have game Q's or lore research
- I use UESP and The Elder Scrolls Wiki. Elder Scrolls wiki have individual pages for armor/weapon types. Though I do love the amount of lore on this site. Very professional.
- I use UESP as my primary lore and quest site. I use other sites, such as TES nexus and Planet Elder Scrolls for mods.
- I use UESP every day. TES Alliance is my most used site, followed by the Nexus, then UESP, then the Imperial Library.
- I use UESP every time i play TES 3 4 and 5
- I use uesp for lore, nexus for mods
- i use uesp for morrowind and oblivion
- i use UESP when i want more detailed information
- I use UESP, The Nexus and Steam Workshop.
- I used another wiki before i found this one but now i only use this
- I used elderscrolls.wikia for a while, when UESP didn't have images for the weapons in skyrim. Throughout my time in Oblivion and Morrowind, though, I've exclusively used UESP and intend to stay that way.
- I used one other site. But most of the time what's on other sites seems copied from UESP anyway.
- I used other sites occasionally when skyrim first came out as content was limited but then it was a new game so its to be expected. This is the most comprehensive site on the net
- i used other sites, but i took a reliability arrow to the knee
- I used TES Wikia for a while before finding USEP while replaying Morrowind. Now I come here first when I need information
- I used the Elder Scrolls Wiki, but switched when I saw how much better UESP is. I honestly think this is much more organised, and posses much more information.
- I Used to go to TESwiki, but then I took an arrow in the knee. I mean, I discovered the UESP.
- i used to use the elder scrolls oblivion site on almost a daily basis, now i play skyrim so much that i come here, and pretty much only here
- I used to use The Elder Scrolls Wiki, but they were cruel people and the information was poor quality.
- I used to use the elder scrolls wiki, until i got tired of really bad loading times due to a clutter of stuff on pages there, until i found out about uesp.net. I love this place.
- I used to use the official elderscrolls wiki site, but I found this one and never left. It is and Elderscrolls fanboy's dream.
- I used to use the the elder scrolls wikia when I first started Skyrim (my first elder scrolls game) but then as I was familiar with it I found that this site had the depth and information I need to get a higher understanding.
- I used to use UESP exclusively because it had such extensive content and the theme matched the game.
- I usually check here first, others later.
- I usually use only UESP, but if I look something up on Google, it usually refers me to elderscrolls.wikia.com first because that's higher up in the results, for some reason. I definitely prefer UESP's design and layout, though.
- I very much dislike how the pages for unique items are usually just a redirect to some general overview of all the items. I usually am looking for more information than raw data and a tiny little thumbnail image.
- I very occasionally use the Wikia (which sucks) and often use Bethesda's forums for mod development stuff
- I viseted TES Wikia page and felt as though they got all their information fromThe UESP
- I visit the UESP every day. There is only one Elder Scrolls site I visit every day: MorroHun.hu It's the site of the Hungarian translations of the Elder Scrolls games.
- I will note that I use elderscrolls.wikia to view skyrim items, however, technical and lore data is more complete at UESP
- I will only use elderscrolls.wikia.com for additional in-game information. Such as tips and tricks found by users.
- i would like have other game translation it is for that i use other site ;-)
- I'll be honest, I just google the subject at hand, and for the most part, your site is the first one to pop up.
- I'll sometimes head over to Elder Scrolls Wiki for a second opinion, or a more fleshed out article.
- I'll sometimes use the other wiki (the Wikia one) if I can't find something on UESP, but that's a rare occurrence.
- I'm learning the dragon language and have a Facebook page and Memrise.com course dedicated to helping others learn it so I visit this wiki and the other Elder Scrolls wiki to verify word meanings and validity.
- I'm on this website about 10 times a day, every day.
- I'm only using other pages to check out local release dates.
- i'm sorry, there are other sites?
- I'm taking this to mean "compared to competing wikis", or something along those lines. UESP is my most used TES site, but I also frequently use larger forums, both official and unnoffical. When it comes to information about the games though, UESP is my first and often only stop.
- I've always used UESP over other similar sites, it's much more informative than others.
- I've been using UESP for years and plan to continue doing so. It is very annoying that lessor wikis have been showing up on google.
- I've been using UESP since 2008 for Oblivion and found it to be almost the only site that looked the way that appealed to me, and had all the information I wanted and needed. I also visited it almost religiously while waiting for Skyrim. This site's as big a part of my Elder Scrolls experience as the games.
- I've been using UESP since the days when I ran around in Morrowind exploring the lands and looking for the best items in the games. I first found your site by searching for a map to a dungeon in Morrowind and without the maps and detailed info provided by UESP I would have never have been inspired by TES lore and the series of games unique overall playstyle with a more in-depth knowledge of how the game worked. Thank you for the 6 years i've been using the database.
- I've browsed a few TES sites in the past, but UESP is THE go-to site for infrmation on the games as far as I'm concerned.
- I've checked other TES-related sites, but I admit UESP is the most appealing to me.
- I've found that the Elder Scrolls wikia often has more detailed explanations of game items, for example, the cloaks the Greybeards wear, or something like goat horns. Information on items like those are either not sufficient enough, or too difficult to find.
- I've found the most complete and easy to access information here!
- I've found UESP to be extremely superior to any other Elder Scrolls sites. The only exception is I use Nexus for my mod downloads.
- I've gone to other wikis when the UESP has had technical problems (a few times the UI has been really messed up for me), but otherwise I use the UESP exclusively.
- I've looked in other places for TES information, but UESP is tops.
- I've never seen any Elder Scrolls related website with as much useful and usable information as the UESP.
- I've occasionally gone to the Elder Scrolls Wikia site, but aside from having better pictures there UESP is a much better site due to its layout and the breadth of the information.
- I've only occasionally used the official Wiki, but I have found it MUCH less informative.
- I've recommended UESP to friends over other wiki-type sites they've already been using. I've even gotten one friend to completely switch to UESP.
- I've tried the Elder Scrolls wikia but didn't find it as helpful or generally complete as UESP. If I ever need to learn anything about the vanilla games, UESP is the first and only website I visit to learn more.
- I've used it more for Oblivion questions than I did for Skyrim...yes, I'm playing them out of order.
- I've used other Elder Scrolls webistes in the past, but I think UESP is the best so far.
- I've used the Elder Scrolls Wikia a few times but thats not as good.
- I've used UESP nearly exclusively, although I've occasionally used outside sources to compare information.
- if articles are not clear I use other wikis
- If ever
- If I am looking for any obscure Lore information I will check here as well as other places, but other than that, UESP is my sole base for Elder Scrolls information, Quests, Lore, Tips and Tricks, Guides and especially news.
- If I can't find what I want on UESP, I google my problem.
- if I cant find the information then I will try another site but that doesnt happen often.
- If I don't come here then I am at the Imperial Library
- If I'm on another page, I likely navigated to it through here
- If something can't be found on UESP I refer to the Elder Scrolls Wiki
- If uesp was chrome everything else would basically be netscape navigator.
- If you are including Mod websites (which I often go to VIA the UESP), this would still be the site I use the most.
- Imperial Library for in-depth lore, UESP if I need a comprehensive summary. TESWiki has a picture for almost everything, which was useful when I wrote solutions and guides for a fansite - but UESP has improved in this area too.
- Imperial Library, Elderscrolls.net, and the official sites.
- In my opinion, no other site is comparable to this site.Simply, it's the best.
- In my opinion, UESP is superior in many ways to the official Elder Scolls wiki.
- In reference to previous question, if no answer was found here, I would go to the official Bethesda forums for help but this is a rare occurence.
- in the middle of occasionally and very often
- Information = UESP, Modding = Nexus
- It has a lot of information of each "Elder Scrolls".
- It has all the best relevant uptodate information
- It has all the information other websites have and more.
- It has the most info on all things elder scrolls
- it hase more info and the texter is motche beather
- It is in my opinion the best Elder Scrolls fan-site, and much higher quality than "the elder scrolls wiki"
- It is pretty much my go to; I only use other places when the thing I'm looking for is not around.
- It is the best Elder scrolls site opinion.
- It is the best source of information in my opinion. The text is laid out well and functionally, the 'UI' is in a good position and it has a simple background, which makes the text easier to read.
- It is THE best, though you need to be quite knowledged in Wiki writing to create or edit pages, which I'm not.
- It is the most complete site I have found. Have not seen the need to use others.
- it is the ONLY Elder Scrolls page I use.
- It is used in conjunction with my Prima strategy guide.
- it seems to have more information then most other sites.
- It tends to have the most accurate information about any and all subjects, I've hit very few dead ends!
- It usually has the most trusted and accurate information
- It's always my first stop if I'm looking for something related, or just want to learn something new about the series.
- It's better than any other Elder Scrolls site I've been on. It's usually much easier to find things and seems more organized.
- It's either UESP or the imperial library
- It's either UESP or the prima guide
- It's either uesp or YouTube
- It's funny how it is unofficial yet it has more info. and detail. lol.
- It's good and very accurate opposed to similar sites.
- It's just a habit, when I need to know something on TES, my first and only thought is UESP
- It's my favourite site for game info, it has the best info and nice layout, and background colours. Some sites have black as background, too hard to read.
- It's my home page!
- It's not that I never bothered to seek others, this is just by far the most convenient and comprehensive.
- It's on par with the Skyrim/TesNexus and the Official Bethesda Softwork forums
- It's set as home page in my steam browser for skyrim and oblivion
- It's the best no other site has the detail that UESP does.
- it's the best one by far
- It's the best wiki out there when it comes to the elderscrolls series definately
- It's the best.
- It's the go-to place for elder scrolls information.
- It's the highest quality info, best layout ( compared to the wikia website, which is terrible)
- It's the only ES related site except for the modding communities
- It's the only one I use
- It's the only site I use
- Its my "go to" site for TES
- its my number one site i dont ever use other websites because they're detail is either wrong misinformed or plainly not correct compared to UESP i would rated this a 9.8 out of 10 (because as you know nothing can ever be perfect)
- Its simply the best
- Its the most handy website.
- Its the only ES related website in my favorites bar
- Its the only one I need, I suggest it Often to peers
- Its the only site I use for my info
- its the only site i use. information is thorough and complete. outmatches elderscrollswiki by a long shot
- Ive used this site since i played Morrowind! the best no doubt
- Just better in my eyes.
- Just found it by chance
- Just this, tamriel rebuilt and the nexus sites.
- Just UESP and oblivion.nexusmods.com a few times a week, other sites only when there's a bug that needs solving..
- Just UESP, or the elderscrolls.com
- Just when searching for images on google as they have larger sizes and to compare how good your is to others.
- Like I said before, the UESP is one of the best wikis around. I wish wikis for other games were as great as UESP.
- Like I said previously, the best Elder Scrolls site there is.
- Mainly Due to being much more realiable.
- Miles above Elder Scrolls Wiki for info quality, however for in depth Lore Imperial Library is better
- Mod sites are the only other sites I go on. Yours is set up the best
- Modding wise the Nexus, other than that nope!
- More information than ES Wikia.
- Most amazing Elder Scrolls site ever!
- Most comprehensive site for TES, even classical ones.
- Most of the other sites are half completed or bogged down with ads.
- most other sites are random garbage from n00bs
- Most other wikis I've seen haven't the same information; it's either wrong or not given in full.
- much better layout then that other elder scrolls wiki, though sometimes it has had information i couldnt find here
- Much better than alternatives
- Much better than SkyrimWiki or the older OblivionWiki. This site is also the best for Lore.
- Much better than the elder scrolls wiki and the info here is very reliable
- Much better then Skyrim WIki or the IGN wiki
- Much more accurate than wikia guides
- much more information!!
- Much more often than the Elder Scrolls wiki.
- My first and most used source for help and info. The only other site I've used is the Official site for news or galleries.
- My most visited site apart from the official forums, by far. And my best experience, especially with content regarding Oblivion and Morrowind.
- My other resource being YouTube, for more obscure walkthroughs
- n
- Nearly exclusevly. UESP is the site I've chosen myself, but as I'm in modding developing team (team Andoran), I literally HAVE TO visit some other TES-sites.
- Never found any of the others to satisfactorily present information in a user-friendly manner.
- Never have I used another Elder Scrolls site, I ysed UESP the first time and was hooked.
- No Comment ^^ everything is ideal ^^
- No need for the others, honestly
- No need to go anywhere else. Everything is right here
- No other Elder Scrolls site can match the volume of knowledge coupled with the access-ability of UESP.
- No other site appears to be as comprehensive.
- No other site comes even close aside from the official Bethesda forums
- No other site compares.
- No other site has as much information about all TES games, UESP's got daggerfall, morrowind, oblivion and skyrim, all of which I've played.
- No other site has... I would say the spirit - as yours does!
- no other site is good enough
- no other site offers as much help or lore as UESP
- No other site provides the level of detail or amount of content as UESP.
- No other TES-related site (i.e. the TES Wiki) has NEARLY as much information as the UESP!
- No point using any other site when everything I want is here.
- Nobody does it better than you.
- None of the other pages devoted to the Elder Scrolls have information listed in as high a caliber or as superb a layout as the UESP.
- Not enough info on other websites.
- nothing else comes close
- Nothing else compares.
- Occasionally a Google search leads me elsewhere.
- Occasionally Elder Scrolls wiki has more complete information.
- Occasionally go to elder scrolls wikia, but generally only on accident.
- Occasionally google will give me a direct answer to mechanical questions that is otherwise difficult to find. Otherwise I'd rate this site as perfect.
- Occasionally I find the Imperial Library has better resources on some lore stuff.
- Occasionally I need a picture of an item, which I often need to go to another site for.
- Occasionally, 'elderscrolls.wikia.com' seems more useful due to its layout with particular topics. Otherwise, I normally use UESP.
- Occationally go to elderscrolls.wikia.com, but UESP is my first choice
- Once again, it's the only Elder Scrolls site that I'm willing to use. It easily eclipses any other Elder Scrolls wiki, including IGN's official Elder Scrolls guide.
- Once in a great while I'll just Google Skyrim and pop into whatever sites come up.
- Only a few times I have peeked at the Elder Scrolls wikia site, but I like UESP much better
- Only check the Wiki when new stuff is out. Just to see how they match up.
- Only Elder Scrolls site worth visiting if you ask me :)
- only es site I visit
- Only ever use this... EVER
- Only exception is when I'm looking for specific user input on strategies, bugs, etc., and then I just use google.
- only go elsewhere if you don't have the info
- Only going outside when UESP info is incomplete.
- Only one i can use. the other ones suck
- Only one I ever need to use.
- Only one site is comparable to UESP's content: The Elder Scrolls Wiki.
- Only other ES site I visit consistently is the Nexus sites for downloads.
- only other i sometimes use is elderscrolls.wikia.com and the official beth forums
- only other I use is the Imperial Library.
- only other site I look up (rarely) is the official Elder Scrolls site
- Only other site I use is imperial-library.info
- Only other site I've ever used is the Elder Scrolls Wikia, and only rarely.
- Only other site would be the imperial library due to it's higher concentration of lore. If UESP were to improve slightly in this area I would use this site probably exclusively
- Only other TES sites I use are the official Beth ones
- only site I really use for Elder Scroll info
- Only site I use
- Only site I use for Elder Scrolls information.
- Only site I use.
- Only stuff I can't find on Skyrim I tend to look up on the elderscrolls wikia.
- only this and elderscrolls.wikia.com
- only use skyrim blog...more social network
- Only very rarely but sometimes the Wikia wiki will help clear something up by virtue of having been worded dfiferently.
- Only website I use.
- Only when I need details that I can't find on UESP do I use other sites.
- Only you
- Other Elder Scrolls information sites aren't nearly as detailed and informative as UESP. All other sites just don't cut it.
- Other Elderscrolls wikis arent all that great.
- other ES sites are there for me to compare and research before editing, but UESP is my home. I go here first to check for information i need.
- Other main sites used are The Imperial Library and the BethSoft Forums
- Other site I use is the Nexus, where I check about once a week for cool new stuff (and occasionally for help on specific modding issues in my own mods).
- other sites almost only for downloading mods
- Other sites are not easy to use
- other sites are slower and less user friendly.
- other sites are terribly slow compared to UESP, especially the one on wikia
- Other sites aren't as informative or easy to access.
- Other sites have too much crap on their pages. I can always find exactly what I need here.
- Other sites i use are for example skyrim.nexusmods.com for mods
- other sites sucks balls
- Other TES sites are more difficult to navigate.
- Other than Bethsoft sites it is the go to site, you all do a great job, and any time I think I have something new to ad, the community already has it in hand!
- Other than the Imperial Library, UESP is the only site.
- Other than the obvious elderscrolls.com, I use this one exclusively.
- Other than the official website, the UESP was the first Elder Scrolls related site I visited, and I've found no reason to continue searching.
- other than the official websites and blogs, i use this one almost exclusively, if i cant find what im looking for here, ill just google it and see if i get any luck their
- Other than UESP just Skyrim Nexus. Those two are the only ones needed.
- Other websites do not seem as reliable, smart or as professional.
- Other wikis don't meet the standards of the UESP according to my experiences
- Out of all competition, UESP is personal preference, as a rare occurrence, I may compare an article to Elder scrolls wiki
- Planet elder scrolls and this site have always been the only Elder scrolls information sites I've used. Now that IGN has basically frozen planet elder scrolls, this wiki sadly remains my primary source of both new, and old information about games in the series, series lore, related literature, fan works such as mods, ect. More detailed information about mods, including ones that are still active would be of great interest to me.
- primarily this site and nexusmods.com
- Rarely do I ever use the elder scrolls wiki, I prefer UESPWIKI.
- Reference/lore only.
- screw the other sites! u #1!!!!!! :)
- See map comment
- See previous comments
- Seriously, no other site can compare.
- Since Morrowind. So much better than anything else out there. Why they set that Wikia page up is beyond me.
- Skyrim Nexus, different purpose
- Skyrim wikia has specific lists of where enemies can be found (For example, their falmer page has a list of falmer caves).
- So far uesp is the best -- keep it that way...
- Some lore pages need improving
- Some other sites have some miscelous lore information that UESP doesn't.
- some pages on elderscrolls wiki have more information. Also I find that sometimes postings on this website will have information that is opinion based with little explanation for why it is there. I feel that information should not be in the main body of pages.
- Some pages only exist in the Elder Scrolls Wiki. Sorry, guys.
- Sometimes a different Elder Scrolls wiki will come up in Google search results for a particular quest, item or NPC -- then I open them *and* you guys.
- Sometimes I end up on elderscrolls.wikia.com by mistake the content is not as complete over there.
- Sometimes I go to the elder scrolls wikia, because this site's servers are slow from too many people on at once.
- Sometimes i use http://elderscrolls.wikia.com
- Sometimes I use the Elder scrolls wikia
- Sometimes I use the elder scrolls wikia, usually if I've done a google search for a specific query and UESP hasn't come up first.
- Sometimes I use the wiki, but the quality of their articles is very lacking compared to UESP.
- Sometimes I'll cross reference or grab a second opinion from the Elder Scrolls wikia but usually UESP has what I need.
- Sometimes I'll use the elder scrolls wiki for pictures
- sometimes other sites come up in my search, but ill almost always pick UESP first. rare that i dont find what i need here, and check another site.
- Sometimes there is information that I can find on Elders Scrolls Wiki that is not on UESP, but the latter is preferable for me because I find that information is here is almost always correct.
- still the best site for getting quality information
- suites my needs
- TES V: Skyrim material needs to be updated, it's not comparable to The Elder Scrolls wiki.
- tes wiki just isn't good enough. keep it up guys!
- TES Wiki sucks balls and is stealing your traffic. They've also stolen hundreds of articles and the moderators don't seem to care.
- TES/Skyrim Nexus main ES site used. UESP is most trusted in game knowledge base
- Th best information on this site rather than any others!
- The "Elder Scrolls Wiki" is a cheap imitation.
- The "other wiki" is occasionally, because sometimes it has simpler information that is left out here, or things more relevant to gameplay. For lore and everything else, I go to UESP. Everything else is inferior.
- the actual site is to "spotty"
- the best
- the best
- The best and only site I use for every TES game.
- The best Elder Scrolls site on this planet.
- The best site hands down!
- the bethsoft-forums and imperial library are the only other TES-related sites i use
- The Elder Scolls wiki can suck it
- The elder scrolls official wiki is slightly better than this
- the elder scrolls wiki has more pictures of individual items and pages for individual items which are grouped together on this site. I think the individual item pages are better and images of items especially weapons/armor/clothing are important. All of my friends who are addicted to skyrim or morrowind say the same thing
- The Elder Scrolls Wiki is a good sorce of information too
- The Elder Scrolls wiki is another information database, but I find myself coming here because of more detailed records, and controlled editing of articles.
- The Elder Scrolls Wiki is disorganized and unprofessional.
- The Elder Scrolls Wiki is okay, but you guys usually have more complete information, and the layout's nicer.
- the elder scrolls wiki is turrible
- The Elder Scrolls wiki is useful, but not nearly so much as UESP.
- The Elder Scrolls wiki seems too crowded and dark..
- The Elder Scrolls Wikia pages has some pages that are more useful than can be found on this site (ex. http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Console_Commands_%28Skyrim%29/Enchantments) but this site has a better layout.
- The fact that TES Wiki exists is a shame; you guys have been doing the job great since I started playing TES with Morrowind's release.
- The Imperial Library and Elder Scrolls Wikia are nice, but I have an easier time finding things here, and it seems much nicer here. :)
- The Imperial Library is my other source for Lore, which it does and does very well, but it has nothing on UESP in terms of general utility as a reference for the series as a whole. Whenever I feel the need to start up one of my TES games, I invariably end up using UESP for something.
- The Imperial Library is still the best place for me to find lore. The search function there is terribly slow, however. I would use UESP more if the layout of the in-game book articles were better formatted.
- The Imperial Library rocks with lore, but UESP is great for game information and such.
- The information compiled in UESP is by far more thorough than any other individual source that I've come across.
- The information is usually very thorough so it's rare that I need to look elsewhere because I can't find it on UESP
- The lore section is a bit lacking, and to be honest I haven't checked it in a few months as I've been taking a break from TES, but I remember out of game lore being mostly ignored despite being well accepted in the lore community.
- The maps on this site are perfect for when i dungeon crawl
- The most convenient and informative I've seen so far. Have never really found any information on other sites that hadn't already been here.
- The official bethsoft forum has some great mod info and conversations sometimes, but there's no replacing that part of the community here.
- The only comparable site skyrim wikia. The official guides are useless compared to UESP.
- the only informational site I use anymore
- The only other Elder Scroll's related sites I've needed to use are the Nexus sites. All other services I use can be found here.
- The only other Elder Scrolls related sites I use are mod-hosting sites.
- The only other Elder Scrolls related sites i use are mod-sites like TESPlanet and TESNexus.
- the only other Elder scrolls wiki i use is CreationKit.com, u guys are the best!
- The only other Elderscrolls site I use is Planet Elder Scrolls, and that is exclusively for Mods
- The only other ES pages I use apart from UESP are the Nexus (Morrowind/Oblivion/Skyrim) pages for plug-ins and the like
- The only other ES site I use would be the Imperial Library
- The only other ES sites I've used are Planet Elderscrolls and the Nexus sites for mods.
- The only other notable Elder Scrolls site I use is the Imperial Library.
- The only other one I use is the wiki, which isn't as good.
- The only other site I ever use is the awesome alchemy recipe calculator site at http://rp.eliteskills.com/skyrim.html
- The only other site I know of like this is the one hosted on elderscrolls.wikia.com, and I find I prefer UESP's design and layout.
- The only other site I really use is Imperial Library.
- The only other site I use for ES information is the Nexus forums.
- The only other site I use for my Elder Scrolls experience are the Nexus sites, such as Skyrim Nexus.
- The only other site I use is GameFAQs for the Skyrim forum.
- The only other site I use is this one: http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/The_Elder_Scrolls_Wiki It does occasionly have other infromation that this one does not, but I far prefer the layout and presentation of this site.
- The only other site is the Elder Scrolls Wiki which is nowhere near as good as UESP. I use the Elder Scrolls wiki only when something isn't represented or displayed here.
- the only other sites i check out are the ones that you post links to because the others are not as easy to navigate and are not as informative.
- The only other sites I use are TIL or the official websites. You guys have had had the most and best game info for as long as I've used the site.
- the only other TES site I actively use is Nexus
- The only other TES sites would be TIL, TES Nexus, and a few forums.
- The only other The Elder Scrolls related site I use is Bethesda's one.
- The only other website I use is Planet Elder Scrolls and that is for mods.
- The only page I prefer from another site is their Alchemy ingredients table (the format displays more easily on my phone).
- The only reason for using other sites is news on TES (they come up not that often on UESP) and plug-ins. Also some articles of the Imperial Library help to study lore more thoroughly
- The only site i have used since oblivion
- The only site I need besides mod sites
- The Only site i use. I Love the maps for Morrowind and Oblivion guys!!
- The only thing I use for TES besides UESP is Imperial Library for lore.
- The only time I use another Elder Scrolls wiki is if I click the wrong link on google... and then I hit "back" and find the right one.
- The other being the morrowind/oblivion/skyrim nexus of course.
- The other one being nexus because of mods
- The other one is Skyrim wiki, but you have much better usefullness
- The other site I sometimes use is the Elder Scrolls Wikia (elderscrolls.wikia.com).
- The other sites are obviously edited by 8 year olds.
- The other sites are slow and not as organized.
- the other sites dont go into enough deep that is need for elder schools, ie the other wikis
- The other sites load way to slowly and I have been mislead on the other sites before.
- the other TES related website I use is the elder scrolls wiki
- The other website I use being elderscrolls.wikia.com. I prefer UESP for many reasons, chiefly because it is very detailed in lore and often quotes dialogue (especially in Oblivion quest pages - it would be even more wonderful to see the same on more Skyrim pages)
- The other websites are rubbish (no offence but this one is way more accurate)
- The other Wiki (can't remember the name) has an awful color scheme, but sometimes more-developed information. I know it's a wiki, so info changes, but sometimes they have a better-worded explanation for something.
- The other wikis are not nearly as full of information and lore. Especially the lore. Try looking up Pyandonea anywhere else (besides Elder Scrolls Wiki, which has an article).
- The reason is that it looks the nicest, for example when comparing it with elderscrolls wikia page and the layout is excellent.
- The rest of the ES sites are rubbish compared to UESP. That and it normally is the first hit on google if I forget the address
- The tes wiki wikia site is XXXXX terrible, filled with inconsistency and rumor knowgledge put together by prepubescents.
- The top two sites I use related to the Elder Scrollls are UESP and the official Bethesda Forums.
- The UESP holds all the information I need
- The UESP is my first choice for information regarding the Elder Scrolls games and universe.
- The UESP is my homepage for my Steam browser whenever I'm regularly playing any TES games.
- The UESP is the most reliable in terms of information. The only times I've not used the UESP is when I'm looking for opinions.
- The UESP is the only Elder Scrolls website I use
- The UESP is the only Elder Scrolls Wiki I use; as I find it as the best and most reliable source of information for anything related to the Elder Scrolls.
- The UESP is the very best source I've ever seen for any information about the Elder Scrolls.
- The UESP site is, in general, the best Elder Scrolls support site on the web for information. There are other good sites for information too, and sites specialising in mods (frex, TES Nexus, Elric's) that I use for their specific purposes which are outside the UESP website's purview.
- The UESP wiki is the best Elder Scrolls wiki I have ever used.
- the UESP, is for me THE great source of information, inaccuracies are often quickly eradicated and information is reliable.
- The web site is just that good. It is very stream lined, not too many bells and Whistles to distract you.
- The wiki is fairly good too, but this place has been very in depth and lore heavy since I found it for Morrowind.
- The Wikia usually has a more thorough bugs section, though it's less vetted
- Ther is the Wikia, but all the info they have can already be found on the UESP.
- There are occasions where the wikia website has more information. Particularly when it comes to Dawnguard.
- There are other sites?
- There are other sites?
- There are other sites?
- There are other sites...?
- There are others out there, naturally, but I enjoy my experience here best, so keep coming back.
- There are rare occasions where I can't find something very specific.
- There aren't many Elder Scrolls websites with good information
- There is a full website with a giant in browser map of skyrim, but I will go back to this site for more info on the place
- There is no other site I'd rather use for my Elder Scroll needs!
- There is no other site quite like this one. This, this is great!
- There is nothing like UESP.
- There is only one other elder scrolls site that I use and even then I only use it to get a different point of veiw on the things I have already read on this site.
- There is the other wikia site, but i dont like it. I dont like how it looks and its not a detailed as this one is.
- There's a few good forums like elderscrolls wikia, but I mainly use UESP.
- There's no need to go anywhere else. Thank you :)
- There's no other Elder Scrolls related site I even know of.
- There's no point in going anywhere else. Whatever is here is better and more accurate.
- There's nothing else out there as easy to use or as informative
- There's other Elder Scrolls sites? UESP is all I'll ever need.
- things like skyrim wiki and similar pages contain less helpful information, I only use UESP
- This + Official Page
- This and the Elder Scrolls WIKI
- This has been my go-to site since I first discovered it.
- This is an extremely effective site that blows its competiton out of the water.
- this is by far the best site to go to for anything elder scrolls, been using it since morrowwind
- This is by far the best site to use for anything TES related.
- This is currently my home page in one of my browsers.
- This is def. the best TES site i've seen.
- This is definitely THE Elder Scrolls site to go to; I've never found any other site to be more convenient or helpful.
- This is far and away the best designed and most informative of the elder scrolls wikis.
- This is just awesome site. So much information about TES. I've never seen as good as this site.
- This is literally the most effective TES site out there.
- This is my Elder Scrolls Go-To site.
- This is my favorite site online for any information on The Elder Scrolls.
- This is my go to website for Elder Scrolls Lore and game help/information along with news about TES
- This is my go-to site for any information about the Elder Scrolls universe. It is simply second to none!
- This is my go-to source for all things Elder Scrolls.
- This is my go-to source for everything Elder Scrolls, for whatever that's worth.
- This is the best site for lore etc. for my opinion :)
- This is the first really clear elder scrolls related website I ran across after a short search. I only use this one because it provides all the information I need. The Notes and Bugs Sections of the game information pages are particularly appreciated, though the rest of the info not much less.
- This is the go to source for Elder Scrolls lore.
- This is the most well established, comprehensive, and well run ES site on the internet, IMO. Thank you and keep up the good work!
- this is the one and only elder scrolls site i will ever use.
- This is the only Elder Scrolls site I actually use.
- this is the only elder scrolls website i visit.
- This is the only one i use as i tested the others this one was my overall favourite
- this is the only site i check on!
- This is the only site I use and it's the best.
- this is the only site i use and will ever use
- This is the only site I use that is completely devoted to the Elder Scrolls games. I occasionally use a generic cheat/FAQ site, but very rarely. I almost exclusively use this site for anything I might need to look up.
- This is the only site I use when looking for The Elder Scrolls information
- this is the only wiki i use because it is perfect and never had any problems.
- This is the site easier to use, with clear information and easy to translate (I'm French).
- This is, by far, the most detailed, well organized, and comprehensive Elder Scrolls site I have encountered.
- This si by far and away the best of all esp sites.
- this site and elder scrolls wiki combine for nearly all my elder scrolls research and info mining
- This site is always my first stop for anything Elder Scrolls related.
- this site is blocked at my work station, so I have to use elderscrolls.wikia .
- This site is my "go-to" when I need to know something about The Elders Scrolls world. I've used a few sites in the past but having found this one a few years ago I see no reason to go anywhere else.
- This site seems much more friendly and welcoming than the others
- This was the first I found, and the most informative!
- This website has everything other elder scrolls sites have, and more. Plus there is a great community on this site.
- This wiki is far superior to the Wikia site. In fact, I kind of wish other wikis for other games (Fallout comes to mind) were half as well-maintained and with the same level of quality information.
- This, the imperial library and TESlore on reddit
- Though sometimes ESW updates faster and has more images (In the case of Skyrims launch). But UESP has higher quality images.
- Though UESP is one of my favorite sites about ES games, there's still some (rather tiny:) bits of information I forsed to look for on other sites
- Times when the UESP was down and I was forced to use other wikis, I've found that my gameplay actually suffered :<
- To be frank, UESP is just better in nearly every aspect.
- Together with Bethsoft forums and The imperial library
- Tried others, but this is the best
- U
- UESP + TESnexus are my two sites.
- UESP almost alwatys has the information you want (basedID, questID, known bugs, etc)
- UESP and elder scrolls wiki are the main sites when it comes to information about the ES
- UESP and Imperial Library
- UESP and TIL are the only Elder Scrolls sites I visit.
- UESP and TIL form the basis of my usage and of course the official forums.
- UESP and TIL ftw!
- UESP for gameplay information and general search, TIL for lore
- UESP for gamplay, TIL for lore and the official forums for community.
- UESP for life
- UESP has been my main source since i discovered the elder scroll series, it's the most complete site imo.
- UESP has everything, why go anywhere else.
- UESP has information that tends to be true, than what the other sites offer
- uesp has most information
- UESP has provided me with nearly everything that I've needed regarding TES for a number of years.
- UESP has the most comprehensive and best organized collaboration of info I've seen
- UESP has the most informative articles of the ES wikis, and always nearly always has an answer.
- UESP in my opinion is by far the easiest to use.
- UESP is a good source for dry, static information, but other sites have better editorial/tutorial content in my opinion.
- UESP is absolutely the best resource for its clarity and depth.
- UESP is all I use.
- UESP is always my first check when I need Skyrim information, ,with the Skyrim wikia being a distant second.
- UESP is always my first choice when I am looking for any information regarding elder scrolls. I will only visit other sites if I cannot find what I'm looking for.
- UESP is always my first source for info on characters, locations, items, and quests.
- UESP is always up to date and easy to navigate.
- UESP is better than anything else in my opinion
- UESP is by far the best scource for information.. I have used it for all the TES series so far
- UESP is essentially the only site I use for information about Elder Scrolls games. I do peruse many modding websites, but in terms of game information websites, I use exclusively UESP (unless I'm running a Google search, and I happen to use a wikia search result that pops up before UESP's does).
- UESP is far better than other sites for information about the base games and official DLC and expansions.
- UESP is far more detailed, up to date, and accurate than other Elder Scrolls sites that I have tried to use
- Uesp is more reliable and more helpful than other elder scrolls websites
- UESP is most likely my most visited site.
- UESP is MUCH better in my opinion than the elder scrolls wiki in its detailed and professional content.
- UESP is my favourite Elder Scrolls related site.
- UESP is my first and (usually), my last source.
- UESP is my first stop, and if I can't find it here I head to the Imperial Library
- UESP is my main go-to site for news and information except when I'm on my iPhone. Then, I prefer to use http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/The_Elder_Scrolls_Wiki for it's mobile layout.
- UESP is my main source of information; other TES sites I use are Great House Fliggerty and Imperial Library.
- UESP is my only resource.
- UESP is my only source of Elder Scrolls info. All the other sites just suck.
- UESP is my place to go for elder scrolls news/information, always. Has been for years.
- UESP is my site!
- UESP is one of my favorite websites!
- UESP is only site I use besides Elder Scrolls Wikia, and Bethesda's official sites.
- UESP is second only to Skyrim Nexus for me. UESP is first for game info, though.
- UESP is still the best, it is actually my homepage.
- UESP is the best Elder Scrolls Information site, its very professional, easy to find the pages you use, and the info is very detailed and informative.
- UESP is the best Elder Scrolls site.
- UESP is the best for game information, and second for lore (which goes to The Imperial Library.)
- UESP is the best one out there. End of story.
- UESP is the best source of lore and information for the Elder Scrolls series.
- UESP IS the best; nothing else really compares (like, at all)
- UESP is THE best. The Elder Scrolls Wiki doesn't even come close.
- UESP is the first site I go to for Elder Scrolls information and is usually all I need.
- UESP is the most complete Elder Scrolls site and the Google Maps stuff is also awesome and quite unique in my opinion
- UESP is the most complete, reliable TES-related site I know. It's not 100% accurate, but it's pretty close.
- UESP is the most comprehensive, bar none.
- UESP is the only Elder Scrolls website I use.
- UESP is the only ES wiki I use, but I have always gone to Gamefaqs for the forums.
- UESP is the only good website apart from the elder scrolls wiki
- UESP is the only one for me, the only one with practically all the information on every elder scrolls game there is, great work.
- UESP is the only one worth going to
- UESP is the only reliable source for every single quest in every single elder scrolls game.
- uesp is the only site for me about the ES series
- UESP is the only site I go to.
- UESP is the only site I trust, with gathered information and how to run through a quest. All lore I've done checks on and UESP is the best at holding their own in knowledge.
- uesp is the only site I use when it comes to in game elder scrolls information, beside the bethsoft official forum of course
- UESP is the only TES site I use as it is definitely the most serious of the sites around.
- UESP is the second most used TES-related site I use, nestled between the TIL and official Bethesda Forums.
- UESP is very fast, and useful, but sometimes does not have what I am looking for and I end up checking on other sites.
- UESP is very good. Sometimes I look up what other sites tells about a particular thing, but UESP is my primary source.
- UESP is where I get mostly game information, some lore; I use Imperial LIbrary for the rest.
- UESP is where I go for any information I need. Other sites I use are the wikia, and Bethsda sites, but the UESP has been most helpful
- UESP is written much better and much more accurately. The Wikia site is annoying, slow and ad-laden; the writing is of much lower quality.
- UESP layout and organization is by far better than others. also the lack of fancy background lets you focus to the content!
- UESP loads faster and reads better than others and I trust the information on the site.
- UESP makes me feel as if I get the information I need much quicker that other wikis out there. The design really makes what I need stand out too.
- UESP makes other sites look amateurish.
- UESP number 1!
- UESP ONLY
- UESP seems to be the most thorough and accurate of TES sites. I only use them when I can't find something here (which is extremely rare).
- UESP simply has the best quality and quantity of information, compared to ElderScrollsWiki or other sites
- UESP the best Elder Scrolls lore site, very impressive
- UESP was the first Elder Scrolls site that my brother found which was good. Since that time, we only use UESP.
- UESP was the first ES wiki I came across and everything else so far has been subpar compared to it.
- UESP was the fist site that I found and i have stayed ever since
- UESP's been around forever; They're the definitive source for all things Elder Scrolls.
- UESP's the go-to site for Elder Scrolls. Only other real sites for info would be stuff that's still coming out, and that'd usually be general game websites, like Gamespot or The Escapist.
- Unless I'm after lore, it wouldn't occur to me to look for another site.
- Unless we're talking mods, but that's not UESP's area.
- Use the UESP or go home!
- Use to be exclusive, but other sites catching up, eg elderscrolls
- Used it since you guys were a Daggerfall FAQ! Oh the memories.
- Used to use it solely; now I use 'The Elder Scrolls Wiki' too.
- USEP is my first and last stop for anything Elder Scrolls.
- Very good site!
- Very rarely do I go to the elder scrolls wiki.
- Very rarely do I need to go to another site to find information that I can't find on the UESP.
- Wait, there are other sites?
- was referred to the wikia site, it was of inferior quality and layout
- Way more information and way faster than any other site. I would be a fool to go elsewhere.
- Well done and thankyou!
- Well, actually I've been to some other side. But compare to this site, it's the best in my opinion.
- Well, as in getting information. For mods, TesNexus is the place. However, truth is, that there is no other source of information like UESP. I have to point out that the technical details extracted from the CS is especially usefull. I always use UESP as reference in TES related issues.
- Well, I use TES Nexus for files, but in my experience if you want info you're wasting your time if you're using anything BUT UESP
- What else would I use? Elder Scrolls Wiki? That site is crap.
- What is great about UESP is that I almost never feel that I need any other source fom TES games information.
- What other Elder Scrolls related sites?
- What other site is there? Those terrible "any one and there mother edit" dedicated game wikis? This is a great encyclopedia that you can tell many loves of TES have corroborated upon.
- What, you mean there are other sites? This is the ONLY site for me.
- When I am trying to find information on a particular subject I open up the respective pages on a few site, but I will usualy find the best information on the UESP.
- When I can't find what I'm looking for on UESP I go to elderscrolls.wikia.com
- when i dont find what im looking for, i go check out elder scrolls wiki.
- when i need something skyrim specific i use the Elderscrolls.wikia.com ( elder scrolls wiki seems to be more focused on skyrim rather then the series)
- When it comes to TES, UESP is bet.
- When it comes to wikis, the UESP is vastly superior (compared to e.g. elderscrolls.wikia.com). When it comes to delving deeper into the lore, the Imperial Library is great, but I don't think this is an area UESP needs to brush up on; they're two different types of websites.
- When looking for information of Skyrim I sometimes use the skyrim wiki, it has quite a lot of information too and often when googling the first link directs there.
- When the UESP comes up as an option, I use it. But mostly go to it straight away if it features in my browser.
- whenever i need to know something about the games or the lore i come here. Mods and news I find on other sites
- Where else would I go?
- While I find Elder Scrolls Wikia to be more attractive to the eye, I still find more comprehensive info on UESP.
- While I only use the UESP, there's sometimes a moment where I use the Elder Scrolls Wikia site.
- While this is not the site I use exclusively, I definitely prefer it to any other site. It is much better than other gaming sites out there. I have been coming to this site for years and enjoy it everytime.
- Why bother going anywhere else when everything I'd ever want to know, and then some, is contained within these pages?
- Why go anywhere else when everything you need is here?
- Why use an inferior site?
- Why use anything but the best?
- With a database like this why would anyone need other Elder Scrolls related site?
- With exception to the actual Bethesda website for downloads this is the only site I use for ES info.
- With exception to the official site, the only time I've gone to a another (The Elder Scrolls wiki) only by accident.
- Won't use another site
- Wonderful site. Kudos to all that keep it that way.
- You are the best
- You are the best elder scrolls website, whatever the game (but i didn't check before morrowind)
- You da bomb UESP. Keep up the great work!
- You guys are the best! I always find the answers that I'm looking for on your website.
- You guys have it all, and I don't use any other site.
- You have very much the information that i need.
- You pretty much have a Monopoly going on. If you actually had a serious competitor I'd use them instead because of your attitude of 'don't like spoilers? XXXX you!'
- You're by far the best TES site around.
- You're suppirior
- You're the best!
- Your site is by far the most comprehensive, and in all ways facilitating in the way of lore and bugs. So thank you, I have been playing since Morrowind and this is the only site I visit.
- Your site is one of the best gamesites..
- Your site is straightforward, nice layout, and editors have an obvious love of TES
- Your site is the fastest, best organized and most thoroug site I've used. It's why I stopped trying to use other sites and only use UESP Wiki.
- Your site really is the best. I wish that you guys made websites for other things, including the Fallout series.
- Your site's great. Sure, anyone can find pointers to improve and such, but you guys all do great work. I can always find what I need!
- YouTube occasionally for video guides
