   12. How likely would be your attendance at a fan convention be depending on its distance from you:

Some comments may have been removed or edited from containing personal information or questionable content.

  •  :/ limited travel so lets start something small.
  • ....aim for Atlanta Ga
  • ...an adult with 2 kids and a career...not going to attend video game conferences. Sorry.
  • 'City' being simply a town.
  • "international" travel would depend on distance and expense
  • A Canadian convention would be awesome. :)
  • A europe meetup would be great, during summer on some kind of camping-ground
  • A fan convention would be great, and the more local the better. Maybe instead of one big one, have one for each major region of the USA (Which is where I reside)? I.e., West coast, Midwest, Southeast, Northeast, etc.
  • A very good question, and let my results speak for themselves. You do seem to have ideas about fan conventions, given that you ask so much questions about them.
  • Again, gas tank. Also, borders.
  • Again, limited travel ability
  • Again, please don't waste resources on this!
  • Again, same goes about the exact details of said meet.
  • Again, social networking is like scope creep.
  • Again, the above answers are just because I don't go in for that sort of thing.
  • Again; just very busy. :P
  • Again... Not really worth it If I would have to travel great distances for a meet up.
  • Alas, limited transportation budgets have a habit of preventing travel.
  • An uption named "I don't know" would have been favorable on all choices.
  • Anything furthur than a reasonble drive would require compensation and/or travel accomodations.
  • Anything in the region is a definite, outside of that is a maybe
  • Anything outside the province is to far away
  • As a student, I have neither the time or money to travel across the country or internationally. Anything within my "fylke" I am likely to attend.
  • As above, though something very local would be tempting, I'm in Scotland so it seems doubtful =)
  • As far as I'm concerned within the Province can be further than in another Country.
  • As I live in Ontario, a convention in New York would be much more accessible to me than in, say, Vancouver.
  • As i said above, i live in colombia, i would like to attend a fan convention there, i would be extremelly pleased with it.
  • As I've said, AS
  • As im only 16 and have a loads of schoolwork traveling and missing school isn't an option but in the summer or near Charlotte (no idea why it would be here) I would go for sure 10000000000000000%
  • As long as its somewhere in the states like Miami or similar, I'd be interested
  • As long as the convention is near a transport hub, international travel is fine.
  • As long as the convention is within 50 miles of me. I'd drive to go there. Anything farther would be a stretch for me.
  • As someone on a fixed income, fees & othercosts would determine whether I couldattend.
  • As soon as my teleportation device is ready, there sould be no proble... damned, we're running out of squirrels, again.
  • as stated before, unfortunately probably wouldn't have the time to
  • As TES grows in popularity, the fanbase is starting to increase in younger people. Younger people means people without cars. Keep that in mind.
  • At 66 years of age, conventions are just not for me
  • Attendance costs would be considered as well.
  • Australia is a very big country
  • basement dwellers rarely come to the surface
  • Basically the farther away form my exact location the event is the less likely I am to make it to the event
  • Being 14 years old, I don't have much access to travel.
  • Being an Australian, international travel for such an event is almost impossible. If you could host an event in Australia as well as the US/Europe, that would be beyond amazing!
  • But I'm sure that I know people that would.
  • But somehow I don't believe you will make a convention in Istanbul, Turkey
  • by city, i mean: at most 2 hour's drive
  • California is a big state...
  • California would be best
  • Can not fly because of medical reasons
  • Can't afford to go to a convention outside my city sadly
  • can't really travel to far but real visit if close enough.
  • Can't travel much these days
  • Canada's a big country; I can't afford a meet-up outside my province.
  • Canadas a big country
  • Cannot afford to travel too far.
  • cannot really afford to go too far for these things!
  • Car gets bad gas mileage.
  • Cities are big places.
  • City i can do, province i can probably do, country i might be able to do depending on where, and internationally depends on which nation
  • City or State seems like a good middle.
  • Closer any proposed fan convention would be to me, the easier, and hence more likely it would be that I'd be both willing, and able to attend.
  • Closer is easier!!!
  • Come to boston
  • Come to indianspolis
  • Country depends on where.
  • Country/Internationally would be too expensive for me to get to :(
  • DC Metro Area! or Capital District NY!
  • Definitely in my region or local area.
  • Depended on advance noticing.
  • depends a lot on distance, but also on how attractive it is to go. When there's a lot to do for everyone (every elder scrolls fan), I'll probably go. Except for when it's internationally, then it also depends on the costs and traveldistance and -time
  • Depends on 'how international'. I'd really have to know it quite a while beforehand to save up and arrange it all if I were to go to a convention in the US. but if it was in Germany or something, then it's easily arrangeable, myself being in the Netherlands.
  • Depends on cost.
  • depends on how far within my province.
  • Depends on International. For example not gonna pay 2000 for a plane ticket but I would 1-400. Key is to plan events ahead of time.
  • Depends on where, but on the east coast of Am. (Maryland near Bethesda - Baltimore has a great convention centre - PLEASE????? )
  • Depends on work schedule, but if possible, I'm so far in I'm on the other side.
  • Distance is everything, but does not mean I wouldn't attend if was not close, just depends on budget.
  • Distance, work, gas, etc. Not related to the potential event itself
  • Do IT!! I dare you
  • don`t have the opportunity
  • Don't like to travel. Internet is easier.
  • Dont get around much
  • Dont have too much money to be spending on travel.
  • dont make much, and not a fan of long travel times, so the closer the better
  • Doubt you'd do one in Glasgow haha.
  • Even though I am not one for conventions, I would not travel far to go to one.
  • Even though I don't join in with the community, it might be fun to meet people who like TES
  • Except I live halfway across the world...
  • For now, I cant travel far (18, just turned adult), but Video conversations, like hangouts on Google+, Skype conversations, etc. would also be a great idea!
  • From Sweden, a state of 9.5 million people, not many know of the TES
  • Full time college student, can't go far...
  • GA or surrounding states.
  • Going out of state is out of the question.
  • gold coast, qld, australia please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Great distances would be incoventional to cross.
  • Have friends who do the gamer fan convention thing, have not personally done so nor not really interested
  • Have kids ...
  • have no desire to meet with other fans.
  • Having state ones would be pushing the amount of people present, but with a national one you would really have to have a strong group of people going to make it worth it. Again, if you're not involved in the community the fun will be rather drained.
  • Heh, I made a diagonal. But yeah, it would be amazing. I'd probably be more likely to go if it was in my city, seeing as I'm not quite of driving age yet, though I may be able to talk my parents into driving across state. >.>
  • Hosted by Bethesda, or featuring Bethesda, UESP at a conference like E3 etc I may attend but most likely not a convention for the sole crowd of UESP users.
  • Hotel and travel set ups would be good =P specially hotels though -- like a refuge for ES fans in town =P
  • How about at the VFW in my hometown? Or the Masonic Hall. Or down by the kissing tree.
  • Huge state (tx)
  • I actually live in the Balearic Islands in Spain, so probably no meetings would be held here, and due to my studies, I wouldn't be able to go abroad or to the Mainland. Guess no meetings here.
  • I already live less than 10 miles from PAX.
  • I am hopefully getting a drivers license soon so my immediate response to the first two is hell yeah, time for my first road trip, but the second and third one would require air travel more than likely and that's not within my budget
  • I am living in Costa Rica, it would be almost impossible a convention on here
  • I am only 17 (almost 18), and a student, so I cannot travel too far yet; certainly not internationally.
  • I am rural, my results may be an outlier.
  • I am too busy as of late.
  • I am way too poor to travel very far. :(
  • I can appreciate some people like the feeling of a social community. I find this place a tool, a wonderful and fan supported tool but a tool none the less. I'm sure you are all very nice people but I just don't see the point.
  • I can only think of that most of these Fan Meetups would be only in America or in europe that are out of my reach.
  • I can't afford an overseas trip.
  • I can't travel much.
  • I can't travel too much at the moment.
  • I can't travel very far, but I'm interested.
  • I cannot afford to travel very far.
  • I cannot go out of my way to go any farther than within a local county to me
  • I cannot go too far for the expenses may be too great.
  • I cant see myself booking plane tickets to go to a convention.
  • I do not want to meet the people that frequent any site on the internet
  • I don't attend a lot of conventions.
  • I don't attend conventions.
  • I don't do real life with random internet people.
  • i don't drive because of health problems, so i would only be able to attend if i took a bus, but i would definitely try to go if it came to my city
  • I don't even have a car, so a certain distance is definitely out of the question.
  • I don't go overseas... I'm a-skeered to fly. But Canada or Mexico, well... I might fan-up to a city there, if a con was outside the US.
  • I don't go to conventions, but again, I might someday.
  • I don't have a lot of hope for seeing an UESP con in my country, though. ;)
  • I don't have much time for travel unfortunately.
  • I don't have transportation, so I'm limited to the bus at this current moment. But if that were to change I'd definitely go statewide.
  • I don't live in a city, but the only one that would be of actual use to hold something, would have to be St. Louis.
  • I don't really have the option to travel.
  • I don't really like conventions in general.
  • I don't think there would be any here :(
  • I don't want to meet people, to talk about games, that I could be playing in the first place.
  • I dont have a car.
  • I doubt it will be hosted in New Zealand.
  • I doubt there'd be one in Aus, though.
  • I find it very unlikely something like this would be held in New Zealand but if it was held nearby then I would certainly be interested in attending.
  • I happen to live near rockville md. Any chance you could set something up in the dc area?
  • I hate travelling, I may be addicted to the Elder Scrolls, but I'm not leaving my little empire.
  • I have a busy life at this time, so it is propable that I just wouldn't have the time.
  • I have a family and limited time. Therefore distance would be a very important factor.
  • I have COPD and cannot attend such social functions for the most part
  • I have no desire to attend a convention.
  • I have no money.
  • I have no problem traveling within reason for a convention. If it required flying (within country) I would just hope that it was worth it the cost of traveling.
  • I have rather limited travelling capabilities.
  • I honestly don't know anyone who uses UESP besides myself...Then again I don't know many people who are as big of an Elder Scrolls fan as me.
  • I honestly wouldn't go out of my way to go to a convention, but if it was easy and in my city, I'd be happy to go if I had the money.
  • I just don't attend conventions of any sort that often.
  • I just don't like meetups.
  • I just got the game lol
  • i just like to find lore and read up on the game easter egg.
  • I just live too far away from everything to be able to do these things
  • i know someone who knows bill gates
  • I lie in Japan; it's a small country. But it's impractically far from places I would expect for conventions to be held.
  • I live in a rural area 70 miles away from the nearest city
  • I live in a rural part of California and getting to a con can be costly and a trip and a half. For UESP I might go, though!
  • I live in a speedbump town with three stop lights on one street and two that aren't. I don't think anyone would wanna come out here. The only places that are commonly used for conventions are Orlando or Tampa or any other big cities of that sort, and those are several hours away.
  • I live in a very large country geographically. If I dwelt in a smaller country I would have answered more positively on the country and state/province questions.
  • I live in Australia.
  • I live in Canada, in Alberta, and I would love to see a convention in Calgary, Toronto, or Vancouver.
  • I live in canada, would travel to either end of the country for one, but probably wouldnt go to the states.
  • i live in england, so i can't really take a road trip like if i was in america
  • I live in england. Most conventions are out over america.
  • I live in Germany and would definitly come to german convention
  • I live in Hawaii, so if it's not in state I more than likely couldn't attend.
  • I live in Minnesota so the Mall of America would be a good place for it
  • I live in Northern Ireland and I deem it highly unlikely that I would ever be able to attend a fan convention.
  • i live in norway so i dont know if its gonna be easy to get out of the country or region
  • I live in NZ so probably not an option for me.
  • I live in quite a rural area of Deon, England so getting to places isn't really that easy
  • i live in santa ana california so make it happen , please
  • I live in South Africa. It is easy to reach a place with in my city but anything further is more difficult, especially nationally and internationally.
  • I live in Sweden
  • I live in Sweden, so I know this is almost a pipe dream for me.
  • I live in texas, which isn't near very many other states besides texas. (its just so big) but if there's one in this state or louisianna, i'm there!
  • I live in the Bible Belt. 'Nuf said.
  • I live in the end of the world, you would never come here, I understand this, guys.
  • I live in the middle of nowhere :)
  • I live in the most uninteresting town in central CA.
  • I live in the Netherlands, its unlikely taking place here I think.
  • I live in the Netherlands, so I don't think it will be in my country ;P
  • I live in too remote an area.
  • I live on a rock in the middle of the sea. Unless it close to my rock.....
  • I live on a very small island in the Mediterranean so distance would not be a problem for me if a convention had to take place in my country.
  • I live on the island of Hawaii so if it's not there I can't go, period.
  • I love UESP, but just to find everything for all the elder scrolls games;)
  • I may be swayed depending on the size
  • I may have done this when I was younger, but I have no interest now.
  • I never make it to these despite the fact I'd love to
  • I only do multi player for the 360 achievements. I prefer Elder Scrolls games for this reason.
  • I prefer it in my city
  • I probably wouldn't be able to afford going abroad as I am a student but the other 3 options are well worth it if the opportunity may arise.
  • I probably wouldn't have the money to to fly out to another country. I'll just ask some of yall to take lots of pictures!
  • I rarely have enough time or money to attend such conventions.
  • i would apreciate if you could have one in sweden
  • I would be up for meeting some fellow ES fans, and would be willing to go to either of the large cities in my province. Further than that though, I personally wouldn't travel outside the province strictly for that kind of event.
  • I would be willing to drive maybe up to 3 hours.
  • I would be willing to go across the state/country in a few years when I have a drivers licence and car.
  • I would consider it only if it were within my city.
  • I would definitely go to a convention if it were in my city, but like I said, I live in the middle of nowhere.
  • I would definitely go to one!
  • I would find a way!
  • I would LOVE to attend an international fan convention, but I simply can not afford it at this time.
  • I would love to do out of state/country, but I don't think the economy really allows for that at the moment.
  • I would prefer not to fly anywhere
  • i would try
  • I would visit this site regardless of whether these conventions took place, but if it was near me, it could be an interesting way to enhance the experience.
  • I would want to go, but I cannot make a large trip.
  • I wouldn't be able to go abroad. I might be able to travel to london or somewher like that, but london is probably the furthest i could go to, seeing as i live in brighton.
  • I wouldn't be able to. :)
  • I wouldn't go to any as of now, but maybe in the future I might.
  • I wouldn't travel out of the country for ES, despite my strong love for them
  • I wouldn't travel very far to go to a fan meeting.
  • I wouldn't want to travel to far for some sort of meet up, but I would like to do somethng like it if it were close enough
  • I wouldnt travel far just to meet with some people to talk elder scrolls when I can join a forum or something
  • I'd appreciate a convention in Sweden, but to be realistic, Europe would do fine :)
  • I'd have to use the city bus or walk
  • I'd most likely only attend a UESP convention, or meet-up, if it was within my city.
  • I'd rather be playing...
  • I'm a lazy person, and do't generally like traveling. But many are not.
  • I'm a picky eater so I don't like to travel too much
  • I'm a poor college student, if it's in my city then I'd make an effort to be there. If it was within my state I woud try, but again, I'm a college student and don't have the time or money to be driving long distances.
  • I'm a student, so I probably wouldn't be able to take time off to travel to one, but I'd tell all of my friends to go. :)
  • I'm anti-social/introverted, my opinion doesn't really count.
  • i'm BR! :/ i think that i can't help!
  • I'm eating a banana. Want some?
  • i'm french
  • I'm from The Netherlands so internationally isn't going to work for me.
  • I'm from Warsaw, Poland
  • I'm going to be a college student soon, so while I'm interested in attending despite location, money is tight.
  • I'm in Europe where travelling to other countries is easier than if I lived in say Nebraska
  • I'm in the UK so please adapt my answers to suit the UK.
  • i'm italian...
  • I'm just not that big on conventions.
  • I'm lazy
  • I'm not a socializer. People get on my nerves fast.
  • I'm not exactly living in a 'well built up area', so travel will be a limiting factor.
  • I'm not exactly rolling in cash here, so I probably wouldn't be able to make it unless it was within my city.
  • I'm not flying just for a Con buddy....
  • I'm not in the best situation financially so I'm not going to spend a whole lot of money to travel a far distance although I would wish I could.
  • I'm not much of a convention going person, though I like the idea and would have if some friends were there
  • I'm personally not into those kinds of things.
  • I'm physically disabled, so I can't travel.
  • I'm turning 18 in 8 days. Still a student. Can't really travel that much. But when I'm older and have a decent job and such, I'd be willing and able to go to a fan convention *anywhere*.
  • I've never actually been to a fan con before and given current financial issues its not to likely but who knows.
  • I've never been one for conventions.
  • If "Within (my) Country" was a regional location, then more likely; inverse relation between distance and likelihood of going
  • If a date's given to me for such an event, I would try my absolute best to attend!
  • If i had the money i would but, otherwise i would be there before you could blink.
  • If it is near, why not? But if it was far, I wouldn't attend it.
  • If it is nearby, I might just strangle my shyness and force myself to go. If not, I probably would not be able to convince myself.
  • If it isn't in New England I probably won't be able to go :(
  • if it requires overnight stay, i most likely would not attend. if held more multiple days, and is close enough i would attend as many days as possible
  • If it was in a convenient then sure, but I'm not likely to go out of my way for a convention.
  • If it was in my city, I'd have to at least check in on it. I might be interested in looking if it was at least within the province, but anywhere farther than that is too much travel for me, as selfish as that sounds.
  • If it were in my city or not far from me inside of my state, I would possibly be able to go. Otherwise, it's not likely.
  • If it were regional, I'd consider it. I live in west MI, Chicago or Detroit would be the furthest I'd consider.
  • If it's close and cheap, I might be enticed to attend.
  • If it's close and I have free time, I might go with friends.
  • If its not real close by, i just don't have the time
  • If said convention was a state away I may attend, but I'm not sure I would spend the funds to fly across the U.S.A. for one.
  • If the attendance is in my country I will surely participate. But to travel outside of my homecountry is expensive and I do not have money for that.
  • If the convention was relatively close to me, I would consider attending.
  • If there really was one in Hessia or Frankfurt, I'd perhaps be tempted. But that's extremely unlikely. I doubt I'd be going to one somewhere far away within Germany, and I really don't think I'd book a flight for it.
  • If there was one advertised in my city, then yeah...maybe.
  • If you show up at Gamescom, I could show up :D
  • if your convention was anywhere near my city id try my BEST togo!
  • Im 15, moms got a chain on me
  • Im a lower middle classman so i cant travel very far from home
  • Im boring, sorry
  • im from brazil, so...
  • In Denmark everything is close by.
  • In Europe
  • In the capital citys would be best.
  • in the uk, am there.
  • International access depends primarily on timing.
  • international travel is always an issue with the more average income fan base
  • internet should be limited internet
  • It depends where and most importantly *when*. If conventions are held throught the school year, I wouldn't go to one even within the city, unless I didn;t have much homework.
  • It depends who else is going and whether or not I have money at the time, of course.
  • It would be more reasonable for a preexisting Bethesda based convention like quakecon.
  • It would be really cool to see you guys come to Chicago I would most definitely come.
  • It would be very likely across the board but not enough money :(
  • It would have to be within 100 miles of my home
  • It'd be a joke of a convention in Canton, OH
  • It's all a matter of resources, isn't it?
  • It's gonna be cool for me to hang out with other wierdos like me!
  • It's impossible a convention would be in my city, but whatever.
  • It's more the cost and travel time that would restrict my choice in participation.
  • its not that important in my life (yes i copy pasted)
  • Just not my thing.
  • Just wouldn't work for our family.
  • Kinda hard to randomly go places with my job
  • lacks money
  • Like I said I would enjoy that.
  • live in NZ
  • Living away from majors cities, as much as I'd love to attend, it wouldn't be possible =(
  • Living in Austria/Europe - not very likely :-)
  • living in Germany, I don't think this is relevant to me.
  • Living in Paris
  • Located in north america would be somewhat likely, otherwise very unlikely
  • Location, location, location. The likelihood of my attendance at any fan convention is directly correlated to the distance between my location and the location of the event.
  • LOL, My likely is a BIG maybe.
  • London, Tube access everywhere :D
  • Major travel's haaaard...
  • May not be a people person but if it was that close I'd go.
  • maybe
  • Maybe if its one or two states over I could come.
  • Maybe in a year or two if it was in my city but other than that, i don't have the time
  • Might be cool if it was close
  • Milwaukee, WI please.
  • More likely I will be busy playing the games and referring to this valuable resource.
  • My country doesn't have states or Provinces.
  • My means of travelling are fairly limited, so I can't go very far. However, if it's within range, I'd definitely attend provided school or work doesn't conflict. .
  • My time and travel flexibility are limited, so a convention would have to be within a few hours' travelling distance for me to be able to attend.
  • Nebraska...not very likely
  • New York Elder Scrolls Convention ?
  • New York, Texas, or California would probably be the best places to have it. Although, I live in Pennsylvania so naturally I would vote for New York.
  • nice...
  • No car,No passport
  • no need to repeat earlier comment, right?
  • no transport but my feet,
  • Nope
  • Not a whole lot of $$, so places very far away I wouldn't be able to make it to.
  • Not a whole lot of cash..
  • Not big on cons
  • not driving for more than a couple of hours. gas is expensive. plus it's all snowy here now, icky for driving.
  • Not gonna happen, since I live in Belgrade, Serbia, and I doubt any such events will be happening here!
  • Not interested
  • not interested
  • Not interested in such things.
  • Not much for social hookups.
  • Not much happens in DC for gamers or 'nerd' culture. I mean, yeah Magfest, but I don't have the money right now.
  • Not much of a traveler
  • Not really a big con person. Like at all.
  • Not really got the money to leave the country
  • not really interested in meeting up with anyone for skyrim
  • Not rich enough to travel far
  • Not so far. Only nearby. Ma and Da would kill me if I crossed the country for a convention.
  • Not that I wouldn't want to but I don't have the time.
  • not traveling out of state
  • Not worth plane tickets to me, unless I had other reasons for attending, or if it was a long lasting convention, possibly teamed with another site or group.
  • nothing personal - i'm excessively shy
  • Of course it would be awesome if the conventions would happen at least in Europe.
  • ok i have four children. If i had a way there i would bring them all in character. but it's got to be close enough to be a realistic option. Seattle? SIGN US UP, and fifty other people off the top of my head :)
  • ok!!
  • Okay
  • Once again, I am a long way from a big city.
  • One in the states and one in London so fans both side of the globe can attend
  • One in the UK would be nice
  • One word: Greece.
  • Only if it was close to where I live, and I have spare time, I would come to such a meetup.
  • Only if it was in Europe.
  • Only in-state.
  • Ooh or maybe Gaenor and everyone would hate me
  • Outside of Melbourne, Australia- would not attend
  • plane tickets to US etc are freakin expensive
  • Plane tickets. They cost money.
  • Poor, haha.
  • Probably never gonna happen in Tallinn sadly
  • Read previous comment.
  • Same as lat question. I do love playing games but i'm not a 'gamer' is that makes any sense. To me, games are a casual hobby (although sometimes I think I should make a job out of it).
  • Same as Q11
  • Seattle please
  • Seattle would be a smart spot to have a fan convention, seeing PAX sometimes goes there and a huge college is nearby, which must have gamers, right?
  • see *11
  • see 11.
  • See 11.
  • see above
  • See above comments.
  • Self-explanatory i guess; i'm still a minor and thus still rely on my parents' permission to do anything :(
  • Self-explanatory.
  • Seriously do not have time for that
  • Since I come from Germany, it's not very likely that there will be any convention near me...
  • Since I live in Spain I'd be not able to go.
  • Skyrim Should More Famous In Japan
  • Speaks for itself.
  • States are pretty big. I would be somewhat likely to go if it were in my county or in any county adjacent to me. Basically, if I don't have to drive more than an hour.
  • still in school, foreign travel is problem.
  • Suggestion: Los Angeles Convention Center
  • Sure, if it was actually my city (Indianapolis, Indiana) I would probably attend, but what would I get from a convention that I don't get from here and the forums already?
  • Swedish, so likely no convention here
  • Texas
  • Texas is a big state
  • That would require going outside! There's PEOPLE OUT THERE!
  • That's a difficult question because of my location.
  • The closer it is the better!
  • The closer it is the more likely I would go but I wouldn't be able to travel too far, I simply can't afford it. Even for my TES brothers and sisters.
  • The closer the better! :)
  • The closer to my home, the more likely I'll attend. Mostly due to money constraints
  • the farther away the more expensive and less likely
  • The further away from my house means further away from Morrowind.
  • The game is not a shared social experience. This is not WoW. Each player is a god and the time devoted to the game makes us all shut-ins. If Elder Scrolls Online doesn't bomb, maybe we can all be friends.
  • There are about 3 total editors in Arizona, USA, so I doubt we'll have a convention here.
  • there are no many fans of the ES fans in my country (not enough for a convection)
  • There is a stigma associated with Skyrim and video games in general.
  • There would not likely be one in my country
  • This is a really good survey I try to go into things in my comments but then the very next question addresses it.
  • This is assuming that the level of distance described is the minimum distance, not an included distance
  • This location is a simply implausible convention site, though the federal district might do the trick.
  • This question is a bit confusing to Europeans. We tend not to have "states/provinces" since your states are our countries! For the record, I've taken state/province to mean the Greater Manchester area which is about the size of NYC despite being fairly representative. Internationally I've taken to mean outside the EU since travel in the EU is barely more challenging than within Britain itself.
  • Too bad i can't go very far but if i could i would.
  • Too poor to travel.
  • Too poor to travel.
  • Transportation costs and availabitity is very limited due to my work committments. Though I wouldn't want that to diminish what others and what you fine folks want.
  • Transportation means conventions are unlikely.
  • Travel is a huge factor in attendance, some people cannot afford to go to some of these conventions or meetings.
  • Travel is difficult for me.
  • Travel is expensive these days. Keep the conventions relegated to major cities in various regions and you will have a massive turnout.
  • Traveling can be a hassle. For anyone.
  • Traveling expences greatly affect answers above. Would love to travel abroad if I could. (USA)
  • traveling is a bit of a problem for me
  • Traveling is an issue as I don't have a method or the money required for traveling long distances.
  • Traveling there wouod be difficult as I don't have a license, could there possibly be a way to arrange carpooling or something of that nature?
  • Travelling + accommodations are expensive so it would have to be fairly local
  • Travelling and lodging costs are the exclusive deciding factor.
  • TRIPLE WHAMMY! This obviously means that this is a highly discussed topic and hopefully, just maybe, it will be put forth. My city, I would definitely look into going. State, eh, depends on where. Im not gonna have someone drive me 3 hours to a convention. (Im under 16). Nationally, AND internationally would be too much money.
  • Underage for these sorts of things alone. ^_^
  • Unfortunately, not many conventions are held in my area.
  • Unless I happened to be in said other country when the event took place.
  • Unless it happens at a major SF/gaming convention like DragonCon, Origins, or San Diego ComiCon. I'm not travelling or spending $$$ _just_ for a Skyrim oriented convention.
  • Unless it's right in Seattle, I wouldn't bother.
  • Unless it's very close by, I wouldn't attend.
  • Unsure of travel form.
  • US sure but not outside north America
  • USA is huge.
  • Video games events are very rare here, I would most definately go!
  • When I answer "within my city," I refer to the major metropolitan area in which I live, not just the city proper.
  • When I was healthy, I probably would've been willing to travel further...not so much now (and if you haven't figured out who this is before now, you have now! :P)
  • where i live not many big events go on so it'd have to be with or close to our province (Newfoundland Canada)
  • While it may be selfish of me, the travel costs stack up, especially if it requires travel by plane.
  • With gas prices like they are in the US travel would be difficult.
  • With my finances being very tight, in order for me to actually attend... It would have to be very close to me, as well as cheap to enter.
  • Within a one-state drive, I could justify it.
  • Within about 1-200 miles would probably be my maximum distance. Still sounds cool though.
  • Within Europe, sure.
  • Within my country? That's great. But well, maybe better not.
  • Work is an issue, and I don't drive.
  • Would be very likely if somewhere in South United Kingdom, unlikely if elsewhere.
  • would go if bored and in town
  • Would like to go to these events. but none are ever close by.
  • Would love to if I were able to do so!
  • would not attend
  • You are sadly probably not coming to Switzerland, are you?
