Konahrik[edit]
Removed the Konahrik from the list as only his mask is found in game.— Unsigned comment by 98.112.248.29 (talk) at 08:06 on 20 November 2011
NPCs or Creatures[edit]
Are Dragon Priests NPCs or Creatures?? Sjketch 14:28, 20 November 2011 (UTC)

Summon?[edit]
Can you summon these other than with the mask? If so I would love to know how...— Unsigned comment by 72.45.46.14 (talk)
- There's supposedly an Expert Level Conjuration called "Summon Dragon Priest"- I haven't gotten far enough myself to verify. --209.66.120.3 23:21, 23 November 2011 (UTC)
- You can't actually use the mask to summon them- getting the mask requires killing them, and then it's a bit hard to encounter them again :) Drumbo 19:11, 28 November 2011 (UTC)
Lore inaccuracy?[edit]
A sentence reads "once great wizards from each race", the "from each race" piece confuses me. I'd change it, but I was wondering first if this were true or are they all Nords as first expected? Not that big a deal, but if someone has evidence it should be noted. Otherwise after a while (I'll say about 2 months of so), I'll remove it if no one has anything to support it. 67.142.163.23 04:54, 5 March 2013 (GMT)
- While it can be assumed that most Dragon Cultists and Priests are Nords, few of them are actually known to be Nords (or, more accurately, Atmorans) namely Ahzidal and Miraak. Red Eagle, who can appear as a draugr or a Priest, was probably a Breton in life. And... I think that's it. There is few infos on the other Dragon Priests, and nothing about their race. - Hmm, yeah checking the dates it's impossible that he was a Dragon Priest; he died 900 years after the assault on Forelhost. We stil don't have any proof that they were all Nords, or even Humans for that matter, but obviously the majority of them were from Atmora or managed to survive the Night of Tears like Ahzidal. I guess we can make a note like on the Elders page. Elakyn (talk) 17:52, 5 March 2013 (GMT)
- Seems to me that we should just remove any reference to their race. It's mostly speculative, and not really relevant anyway. --Xyzzy Talk 20:53, 12 March 2013 (GMT)
- Ahzidal wasn't actually present in Saarthal during the night of tears, and, from my extensive searches of the lore, it would seem that 1) Saarthal was not the only nord city in skyrim at the time, simply the largest, and 2) there were already many of the dragon priests around at the time of the Night of Tears, so they could be from a time before that, being kept alive by magic. Respawn ?[edit]
I forgot to take masks from specific Dragon Priests. Will they respawn ? Williamjcm (talk) 13:16, 10 July 2013 (GMT)
- None of the Dragon Priests currently listed on their page can respawn, except for Vahlok the Jailor, however he does not have a unique mask unlike the 12 other Dragon Priests. ~HellRider ツtalk ✉mail 15:19, 10 July 2013 (GMT)
Haldriin, a Dragon Priest in ESO[edit]
I am not well versed in the creating and editing of Wiki articles, so I figured I'd leave this information here for someone else to make use of.
In the upcoming game, Elder Scrolls Online, there is a Dragon Priest NPC you encounter near the beginning of the game, named Haldriin. Should we create an entry for him in here? Or are you guys waiting until the game is out to add info related to it?
Anyway, I figured I'd share this info, now that the Nondisclosure Agreement has ended. I have several screenshots of him and information related to his associated quest. If someone could make use of this info, I'd be glad to provide it (I'll check back here to see if anyone answers). 99.246.76.122 02:05, 16 February 2014 (GMT)
- This is the Skyrim Namespace, so only Skyrim-related info goes here (I mean the game Skyrim, not the province ;-) ).Haldriin clearly deserves his on page in the Online Namespace, if Dragon Priests in general do depends on wether they appear in the game regularely or Haldriin is the only one. -- SarthesArai Talk 10:13, 16 February 2014 (GMT)
Possible Bug[edit]
I have noticed that Dragon Priest corpses will sometimes remain after death and will be extremely lightweight.
Would this be worth making a Bugs section for this article?

The elderscrolls wiki page is much better[edit]
Someone ought to copy most of it into this article. This is actually the first time I've seen one of their articles beat this site's in quality. Just take a cursory glance at both pages. Theirs is much more detailed. Plenty of it could be merged with this one. If that counts as plagiarism everyone on with website is a plagiarist. These wikis are crowd sourced. No one owns the content here or there. It would be 100% okay to copy verbatim what's written down there to here. Not that I'd suggest that. 65.175.250.233 07:25, 5 February 2018 (UTC)
- While you may be right that that article on the Elder Scrolls Wiki is better than ours, that's bound to happen from time to time. While some people may get competitive between the two wikis on occasion, this isn't actually a competition...especially not at the level of each and every page. :) If you find their information more useful on some pages, then by all means, hop over there and use it.
- What you suggest is indeed plagiarism because it's a direct copy of someone else's words (or many other people's, in this case). We don't do that here. If ever we did create a direct copy of something they created, we'd give them credit for it, just as they do for us. – Robin Hood (talk) 20:04, 9 February 2018 (UTC)
bugs[edit]
I have added a bugs section with all the bugs I know of. I should help a bit. — Unsigned comment by DarkShadows (talk • contribs) at 13:16 on 26 February 2019
- I removed your bugs section, as a couple of them weren't actually bugs, and the other were general bugs that can occur with any NPC or aren't really noteworthy. --Xyzzy Talk 04:15, 27 February 2019 (UTC)
Miraak[edit]
Can't believe this is an issue we have to talk about in 2021 lol but Miraak should remain on this page. While he is a Nord in game data, this is noted in the paragraph on the page already and not misleading. He has the main dragon priest requirement which is having a Mask, omitting him from this page is incredibly silly and going way way too far with the "technical" side of documentation. Readers will likely want to find him on this page. The Rim of the Sky (talk) 01:25, 7 December 2021 (UTC)
- Actually the main requirement is being of the dragon priest race, which he isn't. If you're going by lore, he isn't a dragon priest anymore. It doesn't make sense to have him on a creature page from which he differs way too much, every bit of info there does not apply to him. The only thing he has going for him is the mask, that's it ~ Dwarfmp (talk) 01:35, 7 December 2021 (UTC)
- I agree with Dwarfmp here - there is no game data making him a dragon priest (not race, not faction, not class). Not everyone who wears a mask is a dragon priest (looking at you, falmer). We could have a note stating that Miraak used to be a dragon priest, too, in lore, but is not in game data. -- SarthesArai Talk 16:34, 7 December 2021 (UTC)

- The issue, to me, is pretty clear: this page is set up as a pseudo-lore page about Dragon Priests rather than a page documenting the Dragon Priest race. Miraak fits on the page for that reason. However, it is my view that this page should be rewritten to be more clearly about the race, part of which would involve giving Malkoran a proper entry and moving Miraak to notes. This is because a gamespace page for the Dragon Priest race should be clearly a gamespace page for the Dragon Priest race. In the interim, I neither oppose nor support the removal of Miraak's entry. — J. J. Fullerton ﴾talk﴿ 02:35, 8 December 2021 (UTC)
