Rogurin is a mage who was writing a letter in Earthtear Caverns when he felt a chill and saw a man pull himself from Rogurin's shadow and summon a horde of vermin. Rogurin and his colleagues fought them off but then the figure summoned spiders and they were overwhelmed.
Rogurin found a place where he could rest and heal his wounds but needs the letter he was writing.
Once his letter is returned to him, he gives you his leather gloves, salutes you and then leaves the caverns.
Quests Started[edit]
- Rogurin Letter of Introduction: Find a stolen letter for a Skyrim soldier.
Quest-Related Events[edit]
When first spoken to:
- "At last! Someone both walking and breathing!"
- What happened?
- "I was just finishing a letter by lamplight, then I felt a chill.
As the cold grew, I saw a man pull himself up from out of my shadow.
I tried to raise an alarm, but the figure just touched my lips and I froze.
He then wandered to the bridge, chanting deep and low.
The chant changed, spiders boiled out of the chasm. Too many, too..." - I see.
- "I am healing here. But I could use your help."
- What do you need?
- "I need the letter I was writing. I dropped it when I fled."
- Where might it be?
- "A room on this side of the chasm.
Left out of here, then keep to the right–hand wall." - Wait here for me.
If spoken to before finding his letter:
- "Damn spiders are everywhere. I hope you haven't given up?"
- I will find your letter.
Once his letter is found:
- "Have you found my letter?"
- Would this be it?
- "Yes! Yes! Thank you so much."
Notes[edit]
- The letter is an introduction for Tanyin Aldwyr to General Duvais, suggesting Rogurin is a supporter of Skyrim, and possibly that he is the colleague for whom Tanyin is waiting, outside the caverns.
- The damage of "5-2" is accurate in the sense that his script has
SetDamageMin(5)
andSetDamageMax(2)
in it. This makes him never able to attack with more than 2 damage, despite his minimum of 5.
