Quest-Related Events[edit]
When spoken to:
- What did Zabani steal?
- "She knows."
If you haven't tried to get information out of him before, you'll have a couple of options:
- [Persuade] It doesn't sound like you know. The Guard doesn't tell you much, do they?
- "They tell me enough.
There's a place in town called the King's Cornerclub. The Guard arrested her for stealing from there, something that belongs to the king. That's all I know." - But what exactly was it?
- "No idea. Some of King Kurog's favorite things are inside that club.
Between you and I, the Guard wants to keep this quiet until they find out whatever it is. If the king doesn't notice it's missing, there's no problem."
- "They tell me enough.
- But what exactly was it?
- "I have no idea. Something important to King Kurog. They wouldn't tell me.
No matter what you thought of Kurog, he made Orsinium what it is today. The Guard doesn't want someone taking pieces of his legacy."
- "I have no idea. Something important to King Kurog. They wouldn't tell me.
- Why does the Guard think Zabani is responsible?
- "A witness reported her to the Guard. Saw her take the object before heading to the privy. She could've hidden it then.
Eventually she'll tell us where it is. Until then, she stays in here." - Who was the witness?
- "I don't know, some Elf.
I have prisoners to watch. Be on your way or join her in the cell."
If you've already questioned him, you can ask:
- But I don't. Can't you let me know?
- "No."
- At least tell me why Zabani was arrested.
- "A witness reported her to the Guard..." <Same as above>
After speaking to Zabani when the mug has been found:
- "Keep away from the Khajiit. If I see you pass her anything, you'll end up in your own cell."
- Actually, I have information regarding Zabani.
- "Oh? What information?"
- Zabani is innocent. Agolas stole this mug.
- "The king's luck mug! Uh, pretend you didn't hear that.
Well? Anything else you need?"
- "The king's luck mug! Uh, pretend you didn't hear that.
- Release Zabani. You have the mug and she didn't commit the crime.
- "I can't argue with evidence. I'll turn this over to the Guard and release the prisoner.
And, uh … ignore what I said about the mug, all right? Here's a little something to help you forget."
- "I can't argue with evidence. I'll turn this over to the Guard and release the prisoner.
However, if you found the Note to Agolas, you can have some more options:
- [Lie] Agolas stole this mug and framed Zabani.
- "That's what she's been saying for days! Huh.
You've done the Guard a true service. Anything else you need?" - I gave you the mug. You should release Zabani.
- "I can't argue with evidence. I'll turn this over to the Guard and release the prisoner."
- "That's what she's been saying for days! Huh.
- Zabani is guilty. She stole this mug with her partner, Agolas.
- "I knew it! Her story never fit together quite like it should. I'll make sure that mug gets back to the Guard. Anything else you need?"
- I gave you the mug. Now I'd like a reward.
- "I think the Guard can manage a reward. Here you go, compliments of the king."
Dialogue[edit]
Before the quest, he'll say:
- "Stay away from the bars—the Khajiit's claws aren't filed down. If you lose an eye, it's your own fault."
Following the quest, he'll say:
- "The long hours are what get to you. Days like this, you find yourself wishing for a prison break to liven things up."
