Skills and Abilities[edit]
- Quick Strike

- Veiled Strike
- The enemy cloaks and prepares to slash the player. This attack does moderate physical damage and will stun the player briefly. This attack can be blocked to set the enemy off balance.
- Roll Dodge
- The enemy can roll dodge to avoid attacks.
- Blood Craze
- The enemy slashes at you twice, doing moderate physical damage over time to the player. This attack also heals the enemy over time.
- Agony
- The enemy stuns the player for short time. Taking damage from any source will break the stun, although the player may choose to break free from it instead. After the stun ends, this spell also does moderate magical damage over time to the player. This spell can be interrupted. Blocking will prevent the stun.

Dialogue[edit]
When encountered you can overhear them talking with a Fearmonger and accompanied by a Death Hound. They will have a captive they intend on feeding on:
- Vampire Fearmonger: "Hmm. This one is so very thirsty … can we drink from him yet?"
- Captive: "No, please don't! I'm not any good!"
- Vampire Darkblade: "Not too much. We need him alive to be harrowed."
- Vampire Fearmonger: "Just a taste, then."
- Vampire Fearmonger: "Enough screaming! This one thinks we should just kill him now."
- Vampire Darkblade: "Perhaps we should feed him to the dog."
- Vampire Fearmonger: "Oh, yes. What a lovely idea."
- Vampire Darkblade: "No one is coming to save you, fool."
- Vampire Fearmonger: "Oh, this one will save him."
You can also find Darkblades and Fearmongers during encounters where the Darkblade is feasting upon an incapacitated Victim. A Fearmonger and a Vampiric Kagouti will spawn when the Darkblade enters combat.
- Vampire Darkblade: "At last, a private meal."
- Vampire Fearmonger: "Not sharing, are we? How unkind."
- Vampire Darkblade: "Mmmm, this one looks delicious."
- Vampire Darkblade: "Just a taste for now."
- Vampire Shadowcaster: "Dryskin, we feed together."
- Vampire Darkblade: "At last, a private meal."
- Vampire Darkblade: "Mmmm, this one looks delicious."
- Vampire Fearmonger: "I do hope you intend to share."
- Vampire Fearmonger: "I just hope the blood's not polluted with mead."
- Vampire Darkblade: "You couldn't wait?"
If you're in the wilderness in other zones, you may be subjected by an ambush by vampires:
- Vampire Shadowcaster: "What luck…fresh blood!"
- Vampire Darkblade: "Am I too late?"
