Labor Dispute[edit]
When you go inside Lost Knife Cave after speaking to Eitaki, you'll find Nedrek working the mine. He will realize the mine is about to be retaken and he will tell you to speak to Jomund who is planning to kick out the Stormfists:
- "I saw you take out some of these bastards. That can only mean we're taking back the mine."
- That's right. Go find Eitaki.
- "Best news I've heard since this started!
You need to find my sister's husband, Jomund. He's up ahead, sneaking around in disguise and causing all kinds of trouble for the Stormfists. He needs to know what's going on."
After speaking to him, he will run outside of the mine:
- Nedrek: "I'll go help the others!"
After the quest, you will find him outside of the mine, working on repairs:
- "Thanks for helping us."
Do Kill the Messenger[edit]
After you've completed Mystery Metal, you'll find Nedrek near a wagon making repairs. He worries about a Stormfist messenger leaving the mine with news of the mystery ore. He's hoping if it's possible for you to intercept the message before the Stormfist leadership finds out:
- "I'm happy that the mine is back under our control, but I can't shake this bad feeling I have."
- You do seem a bit worried.
- "I am. I overheard Magister Osanne say she sent word to the Orcthane about an unusual discovery.
After I told Tridi what I heard, she decided to scout the area. We don't want any more surprises." - Do you think more troops will come?
- "I hope not, but who can say? Could you watch for any of Fildgor's soldiers? A courier, maybe?
We don't want word about that mysterious metal reaching the wrong ears." - If I see anything, I'll take care of it.
Speaking to him again:
- "I knew we could count on you. Just keep your wits about you. The Stormfists possess an unusual amount of cunning for a gang of common thugs."
