The fake Marla attacks you in Marla's House while you're investigating strange happenings in the fort. When you kill her, she is revealed to be a Covenant Nightblade.

Follow Commander Yjarnn to the secret rendezvous he has with "Marla" and you'll hear:

Marla: "Took you long enough, Commander."

Commander Yjarnn: "I thought I was being followed. We have to be smart about all this."

Marla: "Don't insult my intelligence. I know we only get one chance at this. Besides, word from the inside is that things are going well."

Commander Yjarnn: "Good, good. I took care of things on my end. I stuffed all of the duplicates in Marla's house. As long as no one goes snooping around in there, we'll be fine."

If you get caught by Yjarnn, she will immediately turn invisible, forcing you to trail Yjarnn again.

During the related quest, you need to enter Marla's House to investigate strange happenings at the fort. Inside, you find the bodies of Marla and Commander Yjarnn, who you saw alive not five minutes ago. An impostor will accost you as you investigate within the house.

Marla: "You just have to poke your nose into things that don't concern you, don't you? You can join the rest of the bodies in here!"

As she nears death, she says:

Marla: "You're too late! You'll never stop Fildgor's plans."

Once killed, she reveal her true appearance as a Covenant Nightblade.
