Ghemvas the Harbinger is a Ruinach and the world boss of The Shattered Xanmeer. Upon arriving at the site, Ghemvas can be seen killing and absorbing the energy of several unnamed Order of the Waking Flame conjurers.

Skills and Abilities[edit]
- Slice
- Basic melee attack dealing moderate physical damage.
- Blade Toss
- A double-hitting basic ranged attack dealing moderate physical damage each. Additionally, Ghemvas' version of the ability has its blades infused with fire, which adds additional flame damage.
- Frenzy
- The Ruinarch delivers two initial swings, dealing moderate physical damage each, and ends with a stronger cross swipe with all of its blades, dealing high physical damage. The last strike can be blocked.
- Reave
- The Ruinach moves forward while spinning both itself and its weapons around, indicated by a red circle around them, dealing high physical damage, snaring and knocking down affected targets.
- Inferno
- The Ruinach infuses two of its blades, making them levitate in the air briefly, before slamming them down, conjuring two flaming tornadoes that then spin around the Ruinach for a duration, indicated by red circles, dealing continuous moderate flame damage each.
- Molten Orbs
- Ghemvas throws two lava orbs at targets, indicated by red circles, dealing moderate flame damage on impact, and continuous moderate flame damage by the lingering flames they create.
- Infernal Storm
- Ghemvas begins spinning around, in the same way as "Reave", but in place instead, shrouding itself in flames, becoming untargettable by attacks. Stepping close deals continuous high flame damage. While spinning, floating flaming orbs are sent out slowly in all directions, bullet-hell style, indicated by small red circles, each dealing high flame damage.
- Kynreeve Summon
- At the start of combat, and periodically afterward, Ghemvas summons a group of three Kynreeves, the Kynreeve of Embers, the Kynreeve of Scorching, and the Kynreeve of Wildfire.
- Consume
- If the Kynereeves aren't slain fast enough, Ghemvas absorbs them, killing them, while granting itself brief invulnerability (with a damage shield that lasts afterward) and a new powerful ability. This summoning ability is also always use in conjunction with a portal summoning, described below.
- Dagon's Wrath
- Ability unlocked from consuming the Kynreeves. Ghemvas levitates two of its swords and spins them around for a duration, similar to "Inferno". During this, several meteors crash down into the arena, indicated by very large red circles, often overlapping themselves. On impact, they deal high flame damage, and they leave long-lingering flames that deal continuous high flame damage. Ghemvas repeats this ability up to three times back to back.
- Summon Portal
- At certain health thresholds, Ghemvas conjures Portals to the Deadlands. At 75% health, a portal appears on the north side of the arena, summoning Flames of Dagon. At 50% health, a portal appears on the eastern side of the arena, summoning Daedroths. At 25% health, a portal appears on the southern side of the arena, summoning more Flames of Dagon.
- After each subsequent portal summoning, the previous portal(s) will reappear alongside the new ones, for three total at 25% health. Fortunately, destroying a portal automatically kills all Daedra it summoned that are currently active in the fight.
- Daedric Asphyxiation
- Ability unlocked past 50% health. Ghemvas briefly channels a spell and links itself to a target with a beam of fire, choking them and rendering them unable to move or attack, while dealing continuous high flame damage. Ghemvas can be interrupted during the initial channel by anyone, or by the vulnerable target's allies while Ghemvas is choking them. Also, the target being choked as the option to Break Free,
- Devastation
- Ability unlocked past 50% health. Ghemvas rakes the ground twice back to back with its blades, sending out three flaming swirls with each, indicated by red circles close together, dealing moderate flame damage each, which can combine due to their proximity for much more damage overall.
Dialogue[edit]
- Upon slaying the cultists surrounding it
- Ghemvas the Harbinger: "Fools! You have rent the gate asunder!"
- <The cultists burst into flames, and Ghemvas absorbs their essence. It slams its swords into the ground, and three portals open, summoning the Kynreeves.>
- Ghemvas the Harbinger: "Now your world is mine to lay waste!"
When you engage in combat, it says:
- Ghemvas the Harbinger: "Come, mortal. This might be amusing!"
Draining the Kynreeves to empower itself:
- Ghemvas the Harbinger: "Useless churls! Die and grant me strength!"
Summoning the Portals:
- Ghemvas the Harbinger: "Come, servants of Dagon!"
