When you enter the Exiled Redoubt, you will meet Lucilla Caprenia who has been investigating the disappearance of many soldiers from across the Alliances, and has found out that House Albus are the ones responsible. While you help her investigate and to ultimately stop this scheme, you will first encounter Cato Albus in the Executioner's Chamber.

He will be watching from above the pit as Executioner Jerensi slays the latest batch of prisoners:

Cato Albus: "Who dares interrupt? I cannot avenge my son without these deaths!"

<The four prisoners are slain.>

Executioner Jerensi: "You'll die here like the rest of these dogs."
