Description/Review: |
This mod includes more than 30 quest stages, introduced through a mysterious book in the "First Edition". It has new armors and weapons (with new meshes/textures), two new (optional) horse armor retextures, five new dungeons, many new creatures with new textures, voice-acted dialog (optional), and more. If you want to play without the voice-acted dialog, you'll need to install a separate version of the ESP file after you install the main download. Minor terrain overlaps with Blood & Mud. |

Description/Review: |
This mod adds many classic TES artifacts to Oblivion. The book "Tamrielic Lore" tells of the greatest known artifacts and relics of Tamriel, along with hints as to their locations. Be wary, however, as the current owners of these mighty items are not going to hand them over without a fight. Each weapon and armor has its own new models, textures and icons. Their powers and stats are the same as found in the previous Elder Scrolls games. They include such famous items as the Bipolar Blade, the Fang of Haynekhtnament, the Ice Blade of the Monarch, the Mace of Slurring, Chrysamere, Eleidon's Ward, the Fists of Randagulf, the Lord's Mail, Ten Pace Boots, the Dragonbone Armor, and Gambolpuddy. |

Description/Review: |
Ever wondered just what all those ancient Ayleid stones were supposed to do? This large quest mod follows the premise that the stones once formed a massive teleportation network. The introductory quest teaches you how to use Welkynd Stones to activate the "Steps", which can then teleport you directly into Ayleid ruins, Ayleid wells, and many other locations the Ayleids once considered important. Once you start exploring the Steps, you're in for plenty of surprises, deadly situations, and a hefty dose of addictive adventuring goodness. Many of the Steps are defective and will refuse to work, or beam you to random locations. You can land in someone's basement, in government buildings, in caves in the middle of a bunch of goblins, and in very remote and unusual places. Or you can discover sunken ruins, hitherto unknown to man, where lots of treasure and enemies await you. You can play this one for a long time. Includes about 800 Steps and 40 new dungeons, many of which have several levels to explore. TAS is compatable with most other mods; the readme contains a complete list. |

Description/Review: |
This incredible mod adds a new town, a new island village, numerous NPCs, and much more -- it now has 24 quests, many of which are repeatable! It features very good voice acting for all the dialog, and excellent quests.
Ruled by Count Serverus Victrix, Bartholm is a small town consisting of a Castle, Arena, Inn, General Store, Chapel, Stables, Mages' Guild, and eight houses. The village of Slartholm, situated on the Isle of Slart, includes an Inn, General Store, Blacksmith, Barracks, Alchemist Tent, and three houses. In Bartholm, you can engage in a number of quests, fight in the Arena and become Champion, or buy a house and settle down. If you get bored in town, you can join the Bartholm Foreign Legion, travel to the island village of Slartholm, help defend the island from a Maormer attack, go hunting pirates on the high seas, and much more. The quest dealing with the count and his family is particularly well done (you can side with either the Dark Brotherhood or the count).

Description/Review: |
A Dungeon-crawler based on Frank Frazetta's Death Dealer - Tells the story of the Death Dealer, the one who dared defying death to bring balance in life. This mod adds a suit of heavy armor, one shield, one mighty axe (which can be used one-handed or two-handed), all part of a small quest and a large world.
They all bear enchantments made based on the Death Dealer story - the Horned Helmet itself is based on the Frank Frazetta and James R. Silke books (the helmet won't let you die anymore, but will take a toll in Willpower). The Axe and Shield are brand new - the axe bears a script that makes it grow in power over time, based on the amount of souls it harvests; the shield has a powerful enchantment, as well as a nice animated texture.

Description/Review: |
Were you bummed that you couldn't join the Blackwood Company in Oblivion and had to settle on the Fighters Guild? Do you wonder what it's like from the eyes of a Blackwood Company member when you were a Fighters Guild member? Now is your chance to experience the adventure from the Blackwood Company's point of view!
This mod puts a heavy emphasis on choices and consequences. Choose your options carefully, because the choices you make will have an impact on the storyline and even the ending itself! Interesting and varied quests best expressed as: "Fighters Guild meets the Dark Brotherhood." Face difficult choices during the storyline, such as testing your loyalty to the Blackwood Company or to the Dark Brotherhood. Great replayability; play it through a second time to see what effect choosing the other path would have. Approximately 950 unique lines of dialogue, though you won't get to read it all in one playthrough. An estimated 6 hours of gameplay multiplied by two due to replayability for a total of 12 hours of gameplay! This mod is compatible with OOO/FCOM with a patch.

This mod adds only one new quest, but it takes place in an entirely new worldspace - the island of Cybiades (from Daggerfall) and includes tons of new models, textures, weather types, creatures, NPCs, tree types, sounds effects, and much more. The quest is incredibly well done and includes excellent voice acting for all the dialog. The story revolves around an evil threat to the settlers on the island. The amount of work that went into this is simply staggering. TES Nexus MOD of the Month: June 2007. |

This mod contains a complete Dremora city in the Oblivion planes as well as an extensive questline. The city contains: a number of private residences, a council hall/museum, a smithy, an alchemist's, a Xivilai ice mage's dwelling, an arena/bloodworks, a temple to Dagon, a bar, guard towers, a barracks, the home of a particularly unhinged individual, slave caverns, and a massive apartment-type building. There are 50-odd NPCs, with AI schedules and a fair amount of unique dialogue (all unvoiced). There's a separate and ruthless criminal justice system. It includes 10 quests, as well as a large number of fights in the pit of the Damarask arena. |

Description/Review: |
In the aftermath of the traitor's destruction, the Listener of the Dark Brotherhood now faces new challenges. Shadowy threats from without and little trust from within. The Sanctuaries have been locked, the Dark Family hidden. But still, someone has found them. Someone seeks to wipe the weakened assassins from the face of Tamriel. The greatest secrets of the Black Hand must be unearthed if the Listener is to save the Dark Brotherhood from extinction. Or perhaps he will aid the Brotherhood's greatest enemy.
The Dark Brotherhood Chronicles is a large-scale quest mod. It boasts many new NPCs, locations, and both a large main questline and sidequests, delving deep into the shadowed history of the Dark Brotherhood.

Description/Review: |
This mod makes the invasion of Cyrodiil by Mehrunes Dagon's forces dramatically more interesting, realistic and intense. Dremora will actually attack the cities, while the Imperial Legion and even other heroes will attempt to defeat them. Citizens, guild members, and even bandits can be recruited to help defend the land. If you have achieved a high rank in the Fighters Guild or Mages Guild, you gain the added benefit of being able to recruit much stronger allies for these battles. Or, if you play a less honorable character, you can recruit bandits and marauders to help in the fight. If you like a real challenge and a lot of big battles, this mod's for you. Do not add this mod to your game if you want to avoid dealing with the invasion. Can be FPS-intensive. Greatly increases the difficulty of Oblivion gate encounters, especially if you are low level. Is compatible with FCOM via a patch included in the download. |

Hand of Dawn is a mod for players who enjoy Vampirism but get easily annoyed with having to deal with the effects of not feeding every 24 hours to keep the NPCs happy with you at the cost of greater powers and abilities.
By retrieving books, notes, etc. within the storyline of the quest, players will receive journal updates pointing them to the next location. These books and notes relate the tale of a mage who began trying to study Vampirism in order to create a controlled form of it, due to the great increases in a person's physical and magickal states, and eventually reveal the final results.

Description/Review: |
This quest starts out as an artifact-MacGuffin seeking quest and expands into something much bigger. A dying beggar asks the player to help him find an artifact that will allow him to communicate with his deceased wife. While seeking the Heart of the Dead, the player encounters not only the usual thousand enemies but many excellent NPCs, puzzles, traps, prizes, and the lore of old gods and new. It's a long quest that will take you all over Cyrodiil. This mod is Morrowind-lore-friendly and even adds some intelligent lore for the Mystic Elf race.
Along the way you'll team up with several companions, and your choices in dealing with them will make them open up to you or not. The author has cleverly set up the armor and bodies of NPCs necessary to the mod so that they cause no errors regardless of any body mods or cosmetic mods the player uses. The dialogue and rewards take into account the player's gender and specializations; the quest does not project motives and history onto the player nor assume that the player character is human and male. There are also a couple of creepy and incredibly immersive dream sequences. There's a home and companion reward at the end, but there are also a few other goodies to be picked up along the way. This mod is about its journey, not its destination, and is worthwhile for that as well as for its clever use of new assets and excellent utilization of the old ones. Suggested for characters of level 15+. PlanetElderScrolls Top 10 for January 2009.

Description/Review: |
This mod rebuilds Kvatch into a fully functional city. Almost every building is occupied and every citizen has a life of their own. Provided you saved Kvatch, you enter the city as the Hero of Kvatch and have the option to become Count of Kvatch and control its developement. From then on, you will need to speak to various people to find new quests that will allow you to improve the city further. Some NPCs may not have any quests for you at first, but as you develop the city, their needs will grow and more quests will become available. Most quests cost you money, but some are combat-related.
Each quest leads to ever more expensive improvements becoming available. Some renovations benefit you directly, but most will improve the city itself. Eventually, you will finish upgrading Kvatch and it will become the city it once was. Kvatch's citizens enjoy walks in the memorial gardens, but most like to drink and can be frequently found in one of the two pubs when they are not busy. Others will visit the rebuilt castle and admire the trophy cabinets. Kvatch has an active night life, but most people are in bed by midnight, especially since the ghosts of former citizens who died during the battle may haunt the areas they once knew.
Recent versions include changes to the Kvatch-related quests ("Breaking the Siege of Kvatch" and "The Battle for Castle Kvatch"). If you would rather play the original versions of these quests, simply wait until after the second one is completed before activating Kvatch Aftermath.

Description/Review: |
The latest masterpiece from prolific author Simyaz, Malevolent is a complex, multi-pathed, story-driven quest mod revolving around the player's relationship with a sentient suit of armor called "The Armour of Malevolence." The Armour is a charismatic, manipulative and deceptive personality who likes to consider himself "Articulate Evil". After the player dons the armor for the first time, this personality decides to invade a quiet corner of the player's mind and call it his home. The story that evolves from that point changes depending on the relationship the player has with the Armour, and whether you choose to resist the Armour's whims or submit to them (or any combination of the two). Malevolent has a strong focus on philosophy, metaphysics, and pseudo-psychology. It uses various design techniques such as color-contrasting to separate the real from the surreal and the wholly imaginary. Although not all dialog is voice-acted, it does feature a large number of voice-acted lines for the main characters. TESNexus Mod of the Month for July 2008. |

This quest mod revolves around Umbra the Sword, which is among the mightiest weapons to have ever been forged in Tamriel. Created by an ancient witch, who was executed for bringing a weapon of such unadulterated evil into the world, it exists for one thing and one thing only: to slay all things that come in its path and consume their souls. Men and mer, kings and paupers, heroes and villains, and even daedra have all bled for Umbra, their Anima devoured by the ever-hungry blade. This is an extremely tough, multi-stage quest with very harsh conditions, but the rewards are well worth it. It provides a true-to-lore expansion of Umbra the Sword's history and makes the sword into a living entity with a deep thirst for blood and souls. This mod is highly recommended for those who relish extreme challenges. |

Description/Review: |
This mod adds quests to recover 14 unique artifacts. Each weapon has a story filled with clues that you must decipher and follow in order to find the weapons. The quests are designed for high-level players. Finding these weapons at a low level will be impossible for some, and the weapons will likely be overpowered for low-level characters if you do find them. The difficulty of the quests ranges from moderate to insane. This is intentional since the weapons are powerful and the difficulty is commensurate with this. To start, you must seek out various books at merchants in various cities. Don't forget to add the update. |

Description/Review: |
A man named Alex is searching for help in Bravil. He wants you to retrieve the Elemental Stones from the temple and light the Elemental Lighthouses with them, so the elements in Tamriel will be balanced. But, are Alex's intentions really that noble? Did he really tell you everything? And who is this Wise One, who tries to prevent you from lighting the lighthouses, saying you are making a mistake? Loosely based on the GBA game Golden Sun, this mod focuses on puzzle-action challenges rather than fighting-action. You'll have to go through a series of puzzle challenges to collect the elemental stones and then another series to light the four elemental lighthouses. Examples of these challenges include running over a crumbling bridge while avoiding falling rocks, finding your way through a maze with invisible paths in the air and lightning shooting stones, and so forth. Even fairly low-level characters should be able to survive if your wit is quick. Not compatible with Open Cities: Bravil because Alex will never show up. Also, don't try to bring any companions because they will get stuck. |

Description/Review: |
Disappointed that the main questline of Oblivion forces you to be the "good guy"? This mod lets characters who have already completed the main quest to "redeem" themselves by joining the second wave efforts of the Mythic Dawn. It starts where the main questline left off and expands the Mythic Dawn faction with a complete set of ranks and quests. It includes new artifacts and powers to wield, a branching questline with several different outcomes depending on your actions, letting you dabble in the inner workings and politics of a Daedra cult and command a host of followers, from acolytes to dremora. You can rise through the ranks to become the new Master, or perhaps even more powerful... |

Description/Review: |
Acting as a sequel to the Oblivion main quest, Verona House: Bloodlines is an epic story that pits the player against a sinister cult and its charismatic leader. Often described as more of an expansion than a mod, there's no doubt that the scale of the quest is massive. It features roughly 20 hours of new gameplay spread across 11 challenging quests. You will battle your way through huge multi-level dungeons, entire cities and a new plane of oblivion. VHB is filled with engrossing stories, fabulous characters, immersive details, and full voice acting throughout. It includes many custom weapons, clothing and armor. The eponymous Verona House, set in the village of Verona, is the ultimate prize for the quest. The house itself is one of the very best house mods, filled with wonders and delights in ever corner. TESNexus Mod of the Month for March 2008. |
Author's Notes: |
There is a conflict with Servants of the Dawn that prevents VHB from starting as expected. SOTD alters the player's Champion status, which is a prerequisite for VHB to start. The workaround is to open the console (~) and type "Setstage VHQ000 10" then go to Verona Bay and talk to an NPC named Salvo Harding.
Make sure to download the fixed version created by Arthmoor, as DTom abandoned the project awhile ago.
