Stonewisps are constructs created by the clergy of Julianos.[1] They should not be confused with wisps, which are entities linked to Wispmothers that are believed to be wraiths, ghosts, or nature spirits.[2][3][4] The mage followers of Julianos create these unique creatures as a form of devotional art. The wisp symbolizes orderly aesthetics, balance, and focused energy, while also providing a beautiful tone to aid in meditation.[1]
Among the items used to craft them were axiomatic runestones—a complete set of runestones etched with sigils of truth and law, as outlined in the scriptures of Julianos,[5] a glyph of law—a flawlessly inked, illuminated representation of the symbol associated with the god of wisdom and logic,[6] and powdered remains of an actual wisp—the luminous dust left behind by the death of a common wisp, sanctified for use by the priests of Julianos.[7]
These constructs and the means to create them were among the many otherworldly items in the stock of the Impresario, an eccentric traveling merchant.[8][9]
