Welcome[edit]
Hello! Welcome to UESPWiki. It's always good to have new members. If you would like to help improve any of our pages, you may want to take a look at the following links:
- Policies and Guidelines: UESPWiki standards and expectations
- Quick Editing Guide: a quick guide to wiki markup
- Getting Started: how you can help
When you're editing, it's always a good idea to leave edit summaries to explain the changes you have made to a particular page, and remember to sign your talk page posts with four tildes ~~~~. Also, the "show preview" button is a great way to view the changes you've made so far without actually saving the page (our Patrollers really appreciate it!).
Feel free to practice editing in the sandbox and don't hesitate to contact one of our mentors if you need any help. Have fun! --Darth NANAME 14:32, 25 August 2009 (UTC)
Forum posts[edit]
I believe you've created at least 2 talk pages within the Lore, saying you admire the books etc. However, these are forum-like posts, and are not allowed. Personally, I'd just like to say it's great you admire the stories, but that's not the place to express your admiration. You could put links to the lore pages on your userpage with any comments however, but no more forum posts on talk pages please. Thank you ~ Dwarfmp 16:13, 14 April 2011 (UTC)
- Also please note that we have a forum that would love to have you, and where those posts would be appropriate. I'd consider joining the forum community. --AKB Talk Cont Mail 16:22, 14 April 2011 (UTC)

- Ah, rookie mistake; I should've realized the forum-ishness of the posts. The first one was a mistake, though, as I had somehow posted my comment (the fact that it was an off-topic comment should've tipped me off that it didn't belong) on the wrong page (it was the same post on both lore pages). My apologies. Oh, and I'm not sure why I didn't join the forums sooner, seeing as how I've been browsing the wiki since '07. Tw££z£r510♂ 17:09, 14 April 2011 (UTC)
