Staff of Worms - Dremora Lord

Hey I posted what happened when I was hit by the bolt from the Staff of Worms after I died (TES: IV Oblivion), results were sort of disappointing but not all hope is lost, if someone could use Hacking Tools to disable the "load your saved games" thing that pops up after your death and also to make it so enemies attack your body after your death, check out the Oblivion:Staff of Worms Discussion page for more information, thanks! --Dremora Lord 20:20, 5 June 2010 (UTC)

Missing the point--and how not to do it.

I wasn't arguing for the deletion of the roleplaying pages. If you try hard enough, you may even find that I have yet to sound off a Support or Oppose. My nitpicking was surely to address the premise of the page being "arguably the most popular page on UESP." I wasn't making an argument for deleting the page solely on the fact that it isn't in the top ten, so red herring less.
And just for the point: the relevance of neither Morrowind:Main Quest nor Bloodmoon:Main Quest are in dispute. It is also unlikely that their relevance will ever be in dispute, too, given how they are very important to their respective games. --Riddle 22:58, 7 June 2010 (UTC)

Elemental Clothing and Permanent Bound Armor Question

Yes, I know of a way that you can make a set of Elemental Clothing that will give you the maximum 85% Armor Rating. In order to get the maximum benefit from this you would need to close three Oblivion Gates with a level 17 character or higher and obtain a Sigil Stone from each with 25% Fire Shield, 25% Frost Shield and 25% Shock Shield on them. Then you would need to duplicate each of the Sigil Stones once and create a set of clothing with two items carrying each of the enchantments. You would then have a set of clothing that gives 50% Fire Shield, 50% Frost Shield and 50% Shock Shield which would give you the 85% armor rating plus the bonus of having the elemental protection. I've thought about doing this but haven't as I am more interested in completing The Dark Brotherhood Quest line right now. As for Permanent Bound Armor, I've read about it but have never done it. Got Your Feedback On Permanent Bound Armor

Hi again, I just got your feedback on Permanent Bound Armor. Sounds interesting. I would need a character with some serious skill in the Conjuration School of Magic to be able to get all the Permanent Bound Armor items possible. Unfortunately right now I am playing a straight up Warrior with hardly any skill in Conjuration. I've never played as a Mage or a Thief so next time through I may switch playing styles and give one of these a try. Anyways I always appreciate the feedback. It is helping me learn new things about the game that I didn't know about before. Also thanks for letting me know what LOL means. I was way off. Actually I noticed something similar, his name just goes straight up and down. nothing really different about it just big and vertical... lol. Chart template

Rather than clutter Jplatinum's talk page any further, I thought I'd move the topic here.

I linked Eltana to Kernas as asked - I hope that's what you meant.

The trick with the Chart template is to imagine the whole thing as a grid. Each Box takes up THREE horizontal spaces and one vertical space - everything else is 1x1. Once you get that, it becomes easy it becomes less of a total pain to use. rpeh •T•C•E• 15:57, 13 July 2010 (UTC)

While I agree with most of your reverts, it would be great (and probably really helpful to the contributor who acted in good faith) if you explained the revert with an edit summary, explaining what was wrong with the edit. Rat Problem

Please could you explain this edit? I'm not sure what the edit summary means, and although I can't give the note a proper test (I don't have a lvl 100 character around when that quest comes due), a couple of Console tests show that the script that runs in the situation described by the note should increase your skill over 100.

I think that he meant that instead of moving the note to the talk page for verification, he instead simply deleted it. Anyway, I just tested it and it indeed worked, although I fail to see the point of mentioning it on the page when all of that is already explained here. By the way, TAO I recommend you to give more detailed edit summaries rather than simply post "rv" or nothing at all. Service Times

Hey AlbinoOrc! Good to see you working on the ONPCRP, but after your recent edit to Marana Rian I want to point a few things out. Service times can not be marked as "already written". To do the service part of the project, you actually need to know the NPCs complete (and correct) schedule first - THEN you have to approach her every time her schedule changes, to check if she offers services or not. You even have to wake her up at night. There is a lot of false information in the NPC summaries and the ONPCRP aims to correct those. I, for one, have lost count of the occasions where I have corrected the NPC summary box service info. Also, a brief mention of the services should be written at the end of the schedule - example here or, more complicated examples, here and especially here. Making userboxes is a bit complicated: see here. If you put {{...}} around an image, the wiki thinks its a template, even though its not. That's why you have the copyright thing popping up. Try putting: {{Userbox|#CCCCFF|#EEEEFF|[[Image:OB-icon-Destruction (title).gif|50px]]|This user has mastered the deadly magic art of Destruction}} and then changing the colours (the #CCCCFF etc.) to your pleasing. ROFL! Try removing the <noinclude> line, or at least move the start of it up to the very end of your signature. What's happening is that your signature is including the two blank lines before the test text. Oblivion:Traps

There are various types of traps in Oblivion, the vast majority of which are found in dungeons or the Planes of Oblivion. Most traps are tripped if the player activates a certain "trigger", which may be a physical object or an invisible proximity trigger. Traps are usually hidden in dark areas, or are blended into their environment, making them harder to avoid. After an activated trap resets, there is usually a small time period where it is safe to pass. They are returned to their original state altogether during a cell reset. (When a cell has not been visited by the player for 72 in-game hours everything in it respawns.)

The key words (Planes, Oblivion, resets, tripped, 72) were what made it easy. I have no clue what language it's in though. So, which story do I have the honor of being in? ;) -- Jplatinum16 23:37, 4 October 2010 (UTC)

The Platinum Blade rolls of the tongue; I wouldn't mind being a sword. First I thought the puzzle was scrambled, but then accent marks came into play. I may scramble the fourth one rather than having it be in a different language. While I agree that the page could use some kind of action shot in 4:3 in addition to the profile image, it is simply not necessary to put NeedsImage-tags on SI-pages. In theory, every single NPC from the Isles needs an additional image - so if you have an idea for an action shot, it is much easier to PM SerC or Rpeh. Yes, Rigas is just fine. I do not have a problem and it sounds more logical. I did not tell two things about him; Race: Attributes: -10 Strength, +10 Intelligence, +10 Agility, -10 Speed and -10 Endurance. I want him to wield an enchanted shortsword and wear a robe (I prefer black). Also cancel the semi-vital stuff, I prefer a character that appears many times and becomes critical at a point of the story.

Gestal Abamer is just a race I came up with with so that the racial attributes were correct. Sentient means that it's as intelligent as a human. For more on sentient swords specifically see here.

Okay. A sentient sword can think, and is as smart as a human. For more on sentient swords in this universe see the link above. As a side note the Platinum Blade doesn't need the sacrifice. Assuming you're okay with that yes. Oh and a little more about the Gestal Abamer: They're a specific variety of Abamer or Forbidden Elf. "Abamer occur when two distinct kinds of elf breed. Since the mothers traits tend to be dominant any difference is not noticeable in the first generation. However if Abamer genes combine with Abamer genes enventually the differences will become apparent. While they still appear to be from a known variety of elf Abamer are capable of wielding strange and previously unknown magics. What these are depends on what variety of Abamer they are. For example a Bantas Abamer can use a limited form of telepathy and is an empath. A Gestal Abamer can control the weather to some degree - for example intensifying an existing storm or creating mild rain would be well within the powers of most of them. However some are more powerful and can create stronger storms with the strongest being able to start hurricanes. Varenseld Abamer can cause earthquakes. In short the Abamer are both the most powerful weapon ever created and utterly impossible to control. I've lost count of the number of successful Patroller or Admin applicants who made some editing or spelling error in their nomination. You're in good company! Pretty sure I did as well, but I'm too lazy to go back and check. ;) I'll post my response to it later - my gut says you're ready, since I can't think of anything you've edited recently that I wouldn't have patrolled, but I like to double-check a bunch of random edits before supporting a Patroller nomination.
