Nice work on Lore:Ehlnofey. It is a topic with so many different angles, and the way you've decided to organize it helps with a reader's understanding on the different cultural viewpoints on the Ehlnofey. Keep up the good work.--Analeah Oaksong (talk) 23:36, 29 March 2024 (UTC)

Dialogue and ESOFiles[edit]

Hello, I have seen you have been adding alot of the new chapter dialogue to the chapter pages. From context it appears you are typing this out by hand. I'd like to suggest using ESOFiles to get the dialogue, you can search for dialogue and copy and paste.

  1. You can go to https://esofiles.uesp.net/
  2. Find the most recent update folder, in this case it is Update-42
  3. Download the lang.zip (it is a big file though)
  4. Once downloaded, extract the en.lang.csv file and view it. I like using Notepad + + for that.

This file contains all of the current text (dialogue and otherwise) in the game. You can then search for the dialogue you need and then copypaste which saves time.--Talyyn (talk) 01:30, 13 June 2024 (UTC)

Thank you, I wasn't aware of that so I was indeed typing out the text. I'll see if I can locate the text I want from the file and copy it from there.--Gleaming Veil (talk) 16:40, 13 June 2024 (UTC)

Infinite Panopticon[edit]

Hi, saw your edit on the Infinite Panopticon lore page. Firstly thanks and great work for expanding it so much. Second, I wanted to ask if using 'proper' in the second sentence is necessary? I know it's grammatically correct, but from a readability perspective it's a bit confusing. Maybe that's just me, if you feel it's necessary then by all means keep it in. Thought it would be a bit rude to edit it out without discussing with you first.

Thank you for your kind words and for the consideration. I initially included the word to indicate that it’s outside the main realm of Apocrypha but still lies within its greater fabric as an adjunct/border realm. Though perhaps thats already sufficiently covered in the first sentence describing it as a pocket realm inside Apocrypha. If it improves readability than the word could be removed without impacting the article's contents, it doesn't really add any important information by itself.--Gleaming Veil (talk) 14:55, 31 August 2024 (UTC)
Wasn’t checking my inbox for a couple of days so didn’t realise you’d replied. I think it would be best to change ‘proper’ to ‘itself’ - that way it’s easier to read while the original meaning is still retained.

Yeah, seems like the best solution.--Gleaming Veil (talk) 21:28, 2 September 2024 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading those wallpapers back in August! It can be a little laborious sometimes.

I have blank layouts for adding to that page in this sandbox if you get a hankering for wallpaper work in the future, but don't feel like meticulously copy/pasting another wallpaper's formatting and replacing the file names one by one.

The sandbox itself is a bit of a mess (it's mostly for me and my stiff editing fingers, though anyone can pull from it: save your fingers and wrists the trouble), but that's a direct link to the wallpaper section.

Again, great work! —MolagBallet (talk) 17:45, 4 October 2024 (UTC)
Thank you! Yeah, I'm always on the lookout for new images from the official sites to add, but they can be a bit troublesome to add properly (still not sure how to handle updating with a higher quality image in a different file format from a pre-existing one though). Many thanks for the sandbox link, will help a lot with editing in new ones.--Gleaming Veil (talk) 15:15, 26 October 2024 (UTC)

Thank you so much for all your hard work on writing and expanding lore articles! As someone who's written a bunch for the wiki, I know how much time and effort it can take, so the fact that you've done so much writing with such excellent quality is a magnificent feat! You've done a lot of work on the deeper aspects of the lore that the wiki has needed documented for a long time, and will be great to have in the years to come :) Merry Christmas, enjoy the fishy stick!
