Welcome[edit]
Hello Demian! Welcome to the wiki. I hope you enjoy using the site and find the information on it useful. If you decide you want to help improve any of our pages, we're always welcoming to new editors so feel free. You might want to look at our Getting Started page for some tips on how to begin, then play in our Sandbox for a while to practice. If you need any help or advice, please ask one of our mentors. Enjoy! --Volanaro 08:51, 15 April 2008 (EDT)
Userboxes[edit]
Hi, Demian, welcome to UESP. To add userboxes to your page, all you need to do is add a short bit of code. So for the four userboxes currently on your page, it's best to just use the text:
{{User PC}}{{User Oblivion}}{{User Morrowind}}{{User Mages1}}
That short bit of text replaces all the lines of code that you currently have on your page. If you wanted to add the userboxes you deleted back in, you would just add:
{{User Finnish}}{{User Male}}
(If you edit this page to see the source code for what I typed, do not copy the "nowiki" tags... only copy the part of the code that appears on the screen). You may also want to look over UESPWiki:Userboxes for more about our site's userboxes.
Not only is it much easier for you if you just use the actual userboxes, it also allows the userboxes to work properly. Right now, your page is being added to the category Category:User Box Templates, even though your page really doesn't belong there. Therefore, could you possibly fix your page? Or ask someone else to fix it for you? Thanks! --NepheleTalk 13:27, 22 April 2008 (EDT)
- Thanks! I'm new in here and not so familiar with editing these kinds of wiki pages.
Roads[edit]
Hi Demian. Thanks for looking me up. I've got the source files for the back-roads map, so I'd be happy to add the roads that are missing -- I suspect it'd be easier than using the flat layer-less map that's online. Of course, if you really want to do it yourself, don't let me stop you! (-- you can see how often I log in ...)
But if you can give me some basic pointers -- hopefully start-point and end-point will be enough, though any details would be useful -- I'll have a go at filling them in. Petrushka 23:17, 28 September 2008 (EDT)
