HackFall[edit]
Hello,
I am adding your HackFall fixes to DaggerfallSetup 2.4 (Will be out very soon). I have also one question :
- I use FallHack with dosbox because I am on 64bit, but he say that z.conf don't content Cdpath, how avoid this problem for patch even without CD ?
I have some comments :
- FALLHACK.EXE is a 16 bit Aplication and don't work on Windows 64 Bits directly. Maybe better to use another file patcher ?
- I did a small fix for the P0B10L08 quest bug that i see in your bug list. This quest was not corrected before. I Renamed the QBN for compatibility with translations packs.
- There is some daggerfall Cut content to maybe restore that may interest you here : http://www.svatopluk.com/daggerfall/museum/
- If I open Your page "http://slushpool.fortunecity.com/" with Opera, Opera immediately crash.

- Hi,
Congratulations on another update to DaggerfallSetup!
- I don't know what is causing the error with the z.cfg and the cdpath. I have always used the 'no cd trick' when playing Daggerfall and it works for me. Unfortunately, nobody else has messaged me with any errors they encountered when using HackFall so I'm ignorant of any mistakes I've made. All I can suggest is to make sure you are running fallhack.exe in the root daggerfall directory, such that ARENA2 is a subdirectory of it.
- Also, I'm ignorant of the cause of Opera crashing when viewing my website. I use Opera myself (on Arch GNU/Linux) and it has never crashed when opening my page. All I can suggest is updating to the latest version.
- I'm aware that fallhack is a 16-bit application. Looking at my readme.html now, I realise that I wasn't very clear in stating it needed to be run in DOSBox (or DOS). Using a different file patcher would probably be better but I can't spare the time to research.
- I have basically retired from the Daggerfall modding community. This is the reason I posted the big list of bugs to my website. I could fix quite a few of those myself, but I just don't have the time to work on it anymore. Instead I hope that other people will look at that list and find it a source of inspiration. I'm glad you've already gone ahead and fixed that vampire quest bug :) Perhaps you should add it to DFQFix so that the average new user doesn't need to make another download and wonder which order to install the patches in. Some times ago I asked PLRDLF about this, and he was ok with it.
- I have had a couple of people contribute things to the HackFall project which I haven't had time to add to my website yet. If you can delay releasing your new version of DaggerfallSetup, I will be able to upload these fixes for you to include.
- Thanks :)

- Hi,
-
- For FallHack, I finally find : I have to use fallhack.exe /i /CD:C:\ hackfall and not just fallhack.exe /i hackfall.
-
- Yes, I can wait theses new Fixes :).
-
- Good Idea, I will ask to PLRDLF if he want add this fix directly to his pack.
-
- For Opera, I am Up to Date with only the "Adblock" extension and on Windows 7 64bits.

- Hi here, Any new from your interesting Hackfall project ?--Ancestral Ghost 22:39, 18 June 2012 (UTC)
- Hi! I'm sorry to say there is nothing new from my Hackfall project. I haven't been working on it at all, apart from changing web hosts (now at Interkarma's DF Workshop). I have left the Daggerfall/TES scene... at this time I don't plan to start working on it again -- not even to package completed work for release. I hope your projects are progressing nicely. You have done a remarkable job at making Daggerfall accessible for a new generation of players who don't understand DOS etc. I suspect many more people have benefited from Daggerfall Setup than those players who have taken the time to thank you. Best wishes, -- DelphiSnake→T+C 12:13, 19 June 2012 (UTC)
- Hi ! Oh, what a shame. Maybe someone can take over ? I you wish, you can eventually give me your work in progress files, and I can try to finish and release them with some people that I know.
And Thank for the Thank, I am happy to see that my work is useful.
Good luke for future--Ancestral Ghost 01:27, 20 June 2012 (UTC)

Sad to hear that you left the TES-Scene :/ Thanks for all your work you put into this. I am working for two years on a German translation and wrote already an in-depth guide about Daggerfall. I am fighting for getting more German-Player to Daggerfall, because it's the best game ever created. In no other game you could be and create the person you ever wanted. I really appreciate your work. I was on the way to use some of your information about Bugs/Errors and translate it into German and make it public to make it easier for "the new generation" to understand. Of course you will get the Credits you deserve. Your work is well done. Don't really no what to say more about it. Just thank you from Germany. --Deepfighter (talk) 23:40, 19 November 2012 (GMT)

Hi, Utilities on your website are 404 Errors.--Ancestral Ghost 08:00, 2 July 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks for telling me about that, I should have taken more care when moving the site. I've fixed that now (hopefully). -- DelphiSnake→T+C 16:06, 5 August 2012 (UTC)
