The UESPWiki – Your source for The Elder Scrolls since 1995
Interesting. If it doesn't end up on here, it should at least go up on GameFAQs. 72.28.170.64 20:53, 17 July 2007 (EDT)
- Personally, I don't get it. No offense, but is there anyone out there with enough skills to play this game that can't figure out the persuasion minigame on their own? The only time it's ever even remotely challenging is with Khajiits and Argonians, and that's only because it's harder to read their facial expressions. I appreciate what you're trying to do, I'm just not sure this is something that people really need all that much... --TheRealLurlock Talk 00:52, 19 July 2007 (EDT)

- Well, no offense either, but can't the same be said about the UESP Oblivion Wiki ? There are some times where the game is slightly challenging, but "anyone out there with enough skills to play this game" can probably figure out by themselves most of the game without the in-depth details provided on these hundreds of pages of walkthrough ?
- So the question becomes: is this useful to anyone ? (admittedly many people don't need this) -- Basophilous 09:49, 19 July 2007 (EDT)

- I would say only very early beginners would find this usefull- so it isn't entirely useless. I would also like to point out to Basophilous that the Oblivion Wiki is necessary in pointing out extremely hidden perculiarities that not many would find by themselves- an example is The helmet found deep undersea named Fin gleam- even a truly skilled player could easily miss this, so the wiki will inform people about many things they would not normally find in order to get the most out of the money they spent on the game!--Willyhead 11:52, 19 July 2007 (EDT)

- I've been watching with a mixture of awe and puzzlement as the pages have appeared on the Recent Changes page. I've got to go with TheRealLurlock here - it just doesn't seem necessary. Personally I don't even use the actor's face when playing the minigame. On the first rotation I click the biggest wedge each time and watch what happens to their disposition, mentally marking each option as "good" or "bad". For subsequent rounds I try to get the biggest wedge against the "good" options and the smallest against the "bad" ones. It might not be the most efficient option but it gets me there. So whilst I'm impressed that Basophilous has taken the time to make these pages, I don't think they're going to become an essential part of the site. --RpehTalk 07:14, 24 July 2007 (EDT)
