When you're editing, it's always a good idea to leave edit summaries to explain the changes you have made to a particular page, and remember to sign your talk page posts with four tildes ~~~~. Also, the "show preview" button is a great way to view the changes you've made so far without actually saving the page (our patrollers really appreciate it!).

Tamriel Rebuilt

Hi Anonytroll, I'm a bit confused about part of our Tamriel Rebuilt pages, and I see you've been doing a fair bit of work there recently, so I figured I'd come to you. Specifically, the problem is with the category Tes3Mod-Tamriel Rebuilt-Factions-Great House Indoril-Hireling. I noticed that it was listed in our Wanted Categories page, and it had three different people in it, so I restored the page figuring that Hireling was once again a valid rank in for House Indoril in TR. Then I actually went to the Great House Indoril page and discovered that no, it's not currently a valid rank. So I figured I'd do some investigating, but I'm clearly out of date when it comes to TR because I can no longer find Map 2 anywhere. I vaguely remember that the various maps were integrated into the main download, but I looked at that, and the three people on the category page, Chaluree and the two Raksadas, don't seem to exist at all. (I had an old Map 2 file as well, but it refused to load with the modern TR_Data file.) Can you clear up the confusion here? Thanks! – Robin Hood  ^(talk) 20:42, 22 October 2015 (UTC)

I hope to. I don't actually understand why those three NPCs still have the Hireling rank still, I tried my best to get them to stop using it (and redirects have no faction info as far as I can see) - at least Chaluree is not actually part of the House Indoril faction. The rank structures are all in TR_DATA nowadays with the actual NPCs in TR_Mainland and TR_Preview. The NPCs are in TR_Mainland (as TR_Preview content does not get added to the UESP wiki), but as all TR-NPCs have a tr_map#_ prefix. Maybe that stumped you? TR_M3_S_Chalureel for example is in Namartyon.

Actually - now that I looked I see the superfluous faction info. I can't believe I didn't see that before. Changing now. Anonytroll (talk) 16:14, 23 October 2015 (UTC)

It's partly my fault for not looking closely at the file structure. I was only looking in TR_Data, not TR_Mainland, so I couldn't find the NPCs at all. Now that I have, I have another question: it looks like that name should be "Chalureel", not "Chaluree". Does that need fixing on our end? There are actually two listed at Chaluree, though I only see one Chalureel in the TR3 data. – Robin Hood  ^(talk) 17:52, 23 October 2015 (UTC)

Seems like the Dillitan Mine has been remodelled sometime, it's now called the Dillitan Ebony Mine and has different NPCs. I guess that just didn't get updated due to lack of wiki-editing manpower on TR's end.Anonytroll (talk) 18:26, 23 October 2015 (UTC)

If you want to propose those pages for deletion, then I can delete them in a week. I don't wanna propose them myself because of both my unfamiliarity with TR and the fact that if I propose them, then I can't delete them. :) – Robin Hood  ^(talk) 18:36, 23 October 2015 (UTC)

(←) On a side note, I've been cleaning up our unused categories lately. There are a lot of TR faction categories there that I'm leaving for now, since I assume that they'll be populated eventually. If there are any that you know can be removed, just slap a {{Speedydeletion}} tag on them and I or one of the other admins will take care of them. – Robin Hood  ^(talk) 22:34, 24 October 2015 (UTC)
