Middle Merethic Era — The Lay of Firsthold & the Destruction of Aldmeris
  • High Lord Torinaan sails from the doomed continent of Aldmeris and into the Summerset Isles with the remaining of Aldmer. Torinaan landed off the coast of Auridon, where he would travel across the hills of Vafe to build his citadel of Firsthold, atop of the river banks of the Diceto River. Firsthold was the first modern-day settlement of Tamriel.

Late-Mid Merethic Era — High Velothi Culture occurs
  • Once the Chimeri settle onto Resdayn, they begin to flourish and live off the wealth of the land. Clans begin to establish themselves in the land and become devoted to fundamentalist ancestor worship. Despising the secular culture and profane practices of the Dwemer, the Chimer also covet their lands and resources, and for centuries provoke them with minor raids and territorial disputes.

1E 240 — The Skyrim Conquest begins.
  • High King Vrage the Gifted begins his conquest over Northern Tamriel for the First Empire of the Nords. The Nordic Empire, led by General Hungunthar Time-Eater attacks the borders simultaneously, swiftly taking the Western Reach, and besieging the city of Blacklight, and establishing their city of Dunkreath in Velothis.


1E 241 — The city of Dagon Fel was built during Skyrim Conquest (Morrowind)
  • Following their victory over the Dwarves of Bthungthumz, the Nordic War-Chiefs, Derek the Tall and Tohan Silver-Crown build the fort-city of Dagon Fel on the shores of Sheogorad Island. Tohan focused on Dagon Fel's expansion while Derek the Tall continued to put his attention to the ongoing conquest over Morrowind, spreading across Vvardenfell and rendezvous with the Dunkreath army.


1E 242 — The Alessian Slave Rebellion begins.


1E 243 — The Alessian Slave Rebellion ends; The Late Ayleid Period begins.

Fourth Century[edit]

1E 355 — The Direnni Clan rise to prominence in Skyrim-occupied High Rock.
  • Castellan Bhoriane Direnni of the Isle of Balfiera captures the coast in the modern-day King's Guard, where the harbor-town of Bhoriane was later built. The King's Guard Mountains were captured, blocking the Nord's trade route between Koegrim Point and the holy forest of Eld Daenia. They established their foothold and coordinated several attacks in the surrounding area.


1E 393 — The Cleansing of the High Fane occurs; the Blackwood Merhunt begins

Fifth Century[edit]

1E 404 — The Liberation of Necrom and the Chimeri rebellion occurs in the Skyrim Conquest (Morrowind)
  • Queen Almalexia of Necrom, along with her consort, Indoril Nerevar, had led a rebellion in the city-state of Necrom, orchestrating attacks across the Sacred Lands and north towards Molagreahd. The Battle of Hel-Nim-Wolk leads to the death of Derek the Tall, the Nordic King of northern Morrowind. Talks of rebellion spread across Resdayn and are slowly building.


1E 415 — The Skyrim Conquest (Morrowind) declines.
  • The Chimer of Resdaynia began their full-scale rebellion across the province. Indoril Nerevar and Dumac Dwarfking gathered their scattered allies to bring down the Nord's tyranny over their homeland. Many nations and Nordic champions had fallen to the Chimer, the entire land was engulfed in utter pandemonium.


4E 416 — The Skyrim Conquest (Morrowind) is over.


1E 477Ryain Direnni expanded the reaches of the Direnni Hegemony.


1E 480 — The Battle of Glenumbria Moors occurs.


1E 490 — The City of Bisnensel-by-the-Lake is sacked by the Kingdom of Shornhelm.
  • King Berthulic of Shornhelm had laid waste to the city-state of Bisnensel, upon learning of their growing power, and the tyranny of Priest-King Uluscant. King Berthulic's forces destroyed the city by using powerful water magic, flooding the ruins and drowning the cultists of Hermaeus Mora. King Berthulic would leave Bangkorai for the River Horse Bretons, who continue to thrive on the land.

Sixth Century[edit]

1E 513 — The Wild Elves of the Northern Nibenay come out of hiding.
  • After many years of hiding, the Ayleids that took refuge in the ruins of Sedor following the Alessian Slave Rebellion come out of hiding, and begin to spread across the Northeast and Central Nibenay. They would make the extra precaution to avoid even the slightest appearance to the Imperials. Some would continue to stay in Sedor, as the Sedorian Tribe of the Northeast Nibenay.


1E 545 — The Wild Elves of the Northern Nibenay had fully-settled throughout the area.
  • Following their end of isolation, the Wild Elves would fully spread across the Northern Nibenay, forming three distinct tribes. The Sedorian Tribe that continue to live in the ruins of Sedor, the Beldanese Tribe that are reclusive, yet live in the ruins of Belda, close to the Imperial City, and the Frostfire Tribe, proficient in the elements, that live in Frostfire Glade.

Seventh Century[edit]

1E 609 — The Rise of the Three Kingdoms (Daggerfall) occurs.
  • King Thagore expands the Kingdom of Daggerfall across the region of Glenumbra, overwhelming the western nations of Greater Bretony. It ends with the fall of their rivals, Glenpoint, at the Battle of Hearthham. King Erich of Glenpoint is executed by Thagore's militia, and so the last of Daggerfall's opposition was defeated. Daggerfall becomes a major power, and one of the Three Kingdoms.


1E 668Red Mountain erupts and causes one of Tamriel's widespread tragedies, known as Sun's Death
  • For unknown reasons, Red Mountain erupted, covering the skies in sulfurous ashes for an entire year, across Tamriel. The natural anomaly led to the creation of the Nirnroot, but its exclusive sustenance of ash embedded into the soil. Volcanic tuffs had appeared across Tamriel in veins and were used in various ways such as Nirnroot Wine and even enchanting armor.

Eighth Century[edit]

1E 700 — The War of the First Council is over.
  • The Battle of Red Mountain marks as the end of the conflict, as well as a climactic point for both races involved.

1E 734 — The War of Shadowgate begins.
  • Emperor Jatanus I of the Alessian Empire begins to wage war with the province of Morrowind, following their recovery period after the Battle of Red Mountain, and the transition into Tribunal Morrowind. Jatanus I sought to annex the Valus Region, and in hopes to spread the Alessian Order into the borderlands, around Bodrum and Ald Marak, in the Barony of Shadowgate.


1E 766 — The War of Shadowgate is over.


1E 767 — The Great Race of the Houses occurs.
  • When King Tethis of Mournhold seeks to claim the Staff of Chaos from King Ilver of Ebonheart, the other Kingdoms sought to do the same thing, in order to get the position of the capital. In the end, Tethis was victorious, citing an ancient will from Moraelyn himself, and Mournhold was named the capital of Morrowind, while Ebonheart was demoted.

Ninth Century[edit]

1E 800Northpoint is founded.
  • Captain Yric Flowdys, a merchant-lord of Daggerfall establishes the modern-day Kingdom of Northpoint on the northern tip of Rivenspire, as the halfway point between Daggerfall and Solitude. In the meantime, Yric Flowdys adopts Dore Elard as his home, and as his family name, creating the modern-day House Dorell, who reign over Northpoint to this day.


1E 808 — The Ra Gada lands on the shores of Hammerfell and continues their conquest over the region.
  • The Ra Gada arrives onto the shores of western Khefrem, in what is now known as Old Hegathe. The former Emperor of Yokuda, whose name is long forgotten, settled on Hammerfell and created Hegathe as a replica of the old Yokudan capital, Totambu. The Ra Gada waves, (Starfall and Anka-Ra) move across the province to conquer it as their own.


1E 822 — The Year of Great Hunger occurs.
  • Morrowind had suffer a great famine, considered to be a test of their faith and strength by the Good Daedra, following the Tribunal's ascension among the province. Saint Rilms had guided her people towards the allied Kingdoms of Ebonheart and Mournhold in the hopes of saving them from the famine. She passed away and was canonized following her group's arrival.

1E 880 — The War of Domination begins; Ebonheart imposes martial law
  • King Gulmon Ra'athim would declare war against the other Great Houses of Morrowind, in what would become, the War of Domination. Ebonheart's armies would swarm central Morrowind like the plague, establish a blockade against Velothis, and take over the Kingdom of Kragen Mar. House Hlaalu would forcefully join Ebonheart, and the Dres and Redoran would wage war across the lower mainland.


1E 881 — The City of Garlas Sunnamath is sacked by the Ra Gada.


1E 891 — The War of Domination ends; King Gulmon is killed in an honorable duel
  • The War of Domination would end before a potential siege against Mournhold would occur, which would have solidified Gulmon's grasp over Morrowind. A young Knight, from the ruined village of Sailen Vulgate, named Eidolon would journey to Gulmon's camp at the ruins of an old castle, and behead him in an Ancient Chimeri dueling ritual. The ancient castle would become known as, Eidolon's Hollow.

Tenth Century[edit]

1E 900 — The provinces begin to intermingle with each other, bringing cultural diffusion
  • At roughly this point, the provinces were isolated, history passing amongst themselves, rather than with their neighbors. But various merchants, explorers, and priests would look beyond their borders, and spread their culture in a more welcoming way, rather than conflict. Follow attempts to force the Alessian Order into other provinces, this cult would start to have small groups in other provinces.


1E 921 — The first-iteration of Balmora was built.
  • Queen Therana of Ebonheart and Councilor-King Brivan III would attempt to negotiate an expansion onto Western Vvardenfell, known as the Temple-Territory of Ascadia. They sought to establish a new trade route from Blacklight, to Vivec, and into Ebonheart. Both had convinced High King Indoril Llandras and Vivec to allowed this action, and so the first-iteration of Balmora was founded.

Eleventh Century[edit]

1E 1005 — The Sermons of Deldrise Morvayn are spread across Morrowind.
  • The Sermons of Deldrise Morvayn, Grand-Apostle of the Clockwork City, are spread across Morrowind at the turn of the century, increasing religious interest for Sotha Sil and his mechanical city. The Telvanni District in particular, showed more veneration towards Sotha Sil than other parts of the province. The Grand Temple of Sotha Sil was built in east Port Telvannis.


1E 1011 — The Sixth House attempted revival on the island of Firemoth.
  • Castellan Grurn Malvilus of Firemoth is convicted and executed for his attempt to revitalize the Sixth House, House Dagoth. A raid was orchestrated by the Buoyant Armigers of Vvardenfell, who were able to apprehend them. The Castellan, in an attempt to escape, had fallen overboard and died drowning in the Inner Sea. His counsel was executed at the courtyard of Castle Firemoth.


1E 1033 — The Alessian Empire takes on piracy in the Topal Bay and Black Marsh.
  • Empress Hestra I calls for the head of Red Bramman, a notorious Argonian pirate brigadier that operated across the Topal Bay and raided Imperial ships that worked in Topal's Crown. Hestra's Imperial Navy tracked Bramman deep into the region of Moonmarch, where they razed Bramman's bandit kingdom of Blackrose. This event provided the rest of Tamriel the first true accounts on the culture of Argonia.

Twelfth Century[edit]

1E 1100 — The Kingdom of Wayrest is formed
  • Merchant-Lord Farangel Gardner is proclaimed the King of Wayrest by the ambassadors of the Camoran Dynasty. Although some historians discredit the proclamation because of the Camoran's lack of jurisdiction in High Rock. But regardless, Wayrest evolves amidst the growing landscape of Bretony as a fully-fledged Kingdom.


1E 1184 — The Alessian Order establish cells across Morrowind.
  • The Alessian Order has established sects of their cult across the province of Morrowind, after slowly pouring into the land. They would have chapters in each of the Great House Capitals, and there was a push by the Marukhati Selective to go into Vvardenfell, but they were denied by Vivec's official decree.


1E 1199 — The Alessian-Morrowind War occurs; the Razing of Andrethis.
  • After the fire at the Grand Temple of St. Felms in Morrowind, the Alessian Order would invade the province and engage in conflict. It begins when they burn the lodging-town of Andrethis and swiftly took hold of Lake Hlaalu. All the while, the order cells across Morrowind would stage riots and acts of terror across the Great House capitals.

Thirteenth Century[edit]

1E 1254 — The Alessian-Morrowind War ends; Wrath of the Shrouded

Thirtieth Century[edit]

1E 2920 — The Reman Dynasty is dead; Last Year of the First Era
  • Emperor Reman Cyrodiil III is assassinated in his throne room at the White-Gold Tower. With the death of both Reman III, and his heir, Crown Prince Juilek, the Reman Dynasty was killed off, ushering the Second Era and the rise of the Akaviri Potentate. Versidue-Shaie becomes the Potentate and rules from where Reman III had left off.

Second Century[edit]

2E 184 — The Dragon Fire's Massacre occurs across the northeast Old Holds
  • The Dragon Lord, Grahkrindrog returned out of hiding, and laid waste across the regions of Eastmarch, and Winterhold. With no other way to defeat a Dragon, High King Kalthar Ice-Spear secretly enlisted the help of a sect of the Dragonguard, who hid from Versidue-Shaie, avoiding his restrictions on them. They had slain Grahkrindrog and hide his body somewhere in Skyrim, in the northern wastes.

Third Century[edit]

2E 283 — Emperor-Potentate Versidue-Shaie declares martial law & begins the War of Subjugation.
  • After a rebellion in Dawnstar, Versidue-Shaie and the Elder Council fled for the town of Bardmont, to continue their meeting. In the "Council of Bardmont," the Tsaesci Lord declares martial law across the Second Empire, dissolving the various private armies and starting the War of Subjugation, part of Tamriel's bloodiest history. Many kingdoms, most notably Silvenar and Blacklight had fallen.

Fourth Century[edit]

2E 309 — The Elsweyr Confederacy is created.
  • After years of conflict between the north and the south, King Keirgo of Anequina married Queen Eshita of Pellitine, reconciling both factions and forming the Elsweyr Confederacy. Their counsels came together to govern their land from the ancient city of Ne Quin-al, and provided assistance across the land, re-establishing their domain since the Sixteen-States Period.


2E 311 — The Mane of Torval is revealed the Riddle'Thar Epiphany
  • During a trip to the Kingdom of Dune, the Mane of Torval, Rid-Thar-ri'Datta meditated at the temple in Rawl'kha where he was shown the Riddle'Thar Epiphany. It dictated that the caste system should be dictated by the Two-Moons Dance of Jode and Jone, and that the Mane would oversee these events across the province. His word was not taken seriously, save for Elsweyr's western outer rim.


2E 326 — The Sacking of Ne Quin-al and death of the Royal Dynasty
  • The self-proclaimed Hunt-Lord of Verkarth, Ra'Hadamo had besieged the ancient capital of Ne Quin-al and brought mass discourse across the Elsweyr Confederacy, due to disagreements with the administration of the province. By his hand, Ra'Hadamo had executed the royal dynasty and temporarily claimed himself as the Moon-Emperor of Elsweyr. However, he was killed by a clanless Khajiit.


2E 330 — The Mane of Torval, Rid-Thar-ri'Datta preaches his visions of the Riddle'Thar Epiphany
  • With the two kingdoms in disarray, Rid-Thar-ri'Datta preaches the will of Riddle'Thar to the hopeless Khajiit, bringing a new era for the cat-people that revered the Mane of Torval. The Confederacy is restored and Rid-Thar becomes the spiritual leader of Elsweyr, remaining so since.

Sixth Century[edit]

2E 572 — The Second Akaviri Invasion occurs; the Ebonheart Pact is formed.

Ninth Century[edit]

2E 870 — The Battle of Stonefalls (Conquest of Morrowind/Tiber Wars)
  • Under the command of the Colovian Warlord Bruccius Caudex, the Imperial Legion stormed the region of Stonefalls, following their victory over the Velothi Strip. The cities of Kragen Mar and Ebonheart were taken by the Legion within a matter of a month. Bruccius Caudex assumed the role of Provisional Governor of Stonefalls.


2E 881 — Siege of Orcrest (Tiber Wars) occurs; Last Stand of Anequina.
  • After the ten-year-long, Battle of Lhaj'rawl, the cities of Rimmen and Riverhold were taken by the Third Empire, and so the battle continued towards Orcrest, the warrior capital of Elsweyr, in the 3rd of Morning Star. King Bakhum of Orcrest confronted the Imperial Legion outside of Orcrest, commencing a year-long battle against the Legion, which led to the downfall of Anequina.



Third Era[edit]

First Century[edit]

3E 95 — The Kingdom of Ebonheart had reached its peak in wealth.
  • After years of making connections and business, the Kingdom of Ebonheart, under King Feranos Ra'athim, become one of the most wealthy and industrious city-states in the Third Empire, due to the success of the East Empire Company. The King had married the Hlaalu noblewoman, Hlamori Mothryon of Omaynis and had a child, Katariah.

Second Century[edit]

3E 110 — The War of the Isle occurs.


3E 120Kintyra Septim II is crowned Empress; The War of the Red Diamond begins
  • Following the death of Emperor Antiochus I, his daughter, Kintyra I was crowned the Empress of Tamriel at a young age, as opposed to the older Prince Uriel III. In response, Queen Potema Septim waged war against the Third Empire in what became the War of the Red Diamond. Several of her allies rallied to her, such as the March of Glenpoint and the Kingdom of Fharun.


3E 121 — Empress Kintyra II was executed; Uriel III is crowned Emperor


3E 137 — The War of the Red Diamond ends with the Siege of Solitude.


3E 141 — King Pelagius Septim III marries Duchess Katariah Ra'athim
  • The High King of Solitude, Pelagius III marries the Duchess of Vvardenfell, Katariah Ra'athim. Many speculated that the marriage was done to cement relations with Ebonheart, which is partially true. However, it was because of her shrewdness and drive as a leader that made her perfect for the young King. It was also because she could hide Pelagius' madness from the Empire.

Third Century[edit]

3E 249 — The Camoran Usurper begins his invasion over West Tamriel


3E 282 — Emperor Uriel V's conquest. (Fall of Black Harbor)
  • Following the capture of the surrounding islands, Emperor Uriel V invades the independent island-fiefdom of Esroniet, the former spice island of Tamriel. Uriel V's envoy approaches Prince Bashomon with a treaty for surrender, but the Prince denied. The AkaviriDunmer harbor city of Black Harbor was sacked by the Fourteenth Legion. Prince Bashomon's forces retreated to the southern coastal mountain.


3E 284 — Emperor Uriel V's conquest. (Capture of Esroniet)
  • At the Battle of the Aquatic Coast, Uriel V defeated Prince Bashomon and executed him in Black Harbor's town square. Where the last battle took place, the Imperial Legion built Fort Aquamoth and used it to establish their naval force for the impending invasion of Akavir. The Admiral-Warlord Ormellius Castorius is established as Provisional Governor of Jer'mao'ivir ("Eastern Sea Islands" in Dunmeris).

Fourth Century[edit]

3E 399 — The Imperial Simulacrum is over.

Fifth Century[edit]

3E 400 — Crown Prince Arthago of the Kingdom of Sentinel disappears.
  • One mysterious night, the Crown Prince of Sentinel, Arthago disappeared, with no trace whatsoever. The royal family claimed that he was stolen by the Underking, but many were people were skeptical. Arthago's disappearance became one of the province's largest conspiracies, with some saying that it was plotted by his own parents.


3E 402 — The War of Betony begins.

Fourth Era[edit]

First Century[edit]

4E 7 — The Great House Hlaalu has their status revoked by the Grand Council
  • Because of the failures of House Hlaalu during the first decade of the Fourth Era, and their undying allegiance to the Third Empire, their title as a Great House was revoked by the Grand Council of Blacklight. It was instead given to the minor but respected House Sadras of Kragen Mar. While they advanced onto Hlaalu territories, including Old Ebonheart and the western shores of Lake Coronati, House Hlaalu still retains some noteworthy power.


4E 16 — High King Erarne Isebrandr gives Solstheim to Morrowind.


4E 17 — The Colovian Warlord of Sutch, Titus Mede I becomes the Emperor of the weakened Third Empire.
  • Titus Mede I and members of the Colovian Estates fought the Nibenese Witch-Emperor, Thules the Gibbering for the Ruby Throne. Titus Mede claimed the title of Emperor from a trial of combat and with support from the elderly High King Erarne Isebrandr of Skyrim, he was able to exceptionally restore the Empire to a state seen before the Oblivion Crisis.


4E 40 — The Umbriel Crisis occurs.

Second Century[edit]

4E 174 — The Imperial City is sacked by the Third Aldmeri Dominion in the Great War.
  • Under the command of Lord Naarifin, the Dominion launches an attack on the Imperial City from the southern front on the 12th of Second Seed. As the Eighth Legion fought a vain defense on the walls of the city. Emperor Titus Mede II escaped with his armies to the north, traveling up the Silver Road to the county-seat of Bruma. The Imperial Palace was burned down and the Aldmeri ruthlessly attacked the populous.


4E 180 — The Second Treaty of Stros M'Kai is signed.
  • After the Aldmeri victory at the Battle of Hew's Folly, but following the Redguard victory over the momentous Great Skirmish at the Blue Divide, both factions signed a treaty in Port Hunding's Grand Palace. The Aldmeri Dominion was forced out of Hammerfell, but attained substantial control over the Abecean Sea, even establishing a powerful enclave in cities such as Port Hunding and their old territory, Taneth.


4E 189 — The Cheydinhal Riots occurs.
  • Cheydinhal erupts into violence when both the Indarys and the Tharn families attempted to acquire control over the County, causing a schism between the people on who among them should rule. In the end, House Tharn was successful, but House Indarys remains in the city as part of the Court of Cheydinhal. Kastav Tharn is named the Count of Cheydinhal, re-establishing the peace in the county.


4E 201 — The Dragon Crisis and the Last Dragonborn
  • In accordance to the ancient Nordic legend, the World-Eater and bringer of end times, Alduin returns and resurrects the long-dead dragons of yore. But from the ashes came the Last Dragonborn, who was called forth by the Greybeards to eliminate the Dragon Lord and prevent the end of the world. The warrior scaled to the peak of Skuldafn and had slain Alduin in the eternal plains of Sovngarde.
