Note to MoreWindPlair
Hello MoreWindPlair, welcome to one of my personal sandboxes. As you can see, this is only a partial copy of Other Artifacts in Morrowind; there is only one item here and all the other artifacts have been excluded. I can write down whatever I want in this page without it affecting or cluttering the main page.
- Personal sandboxes are really useful for experimenting. For example, I used this one when I was playing around with transclusions.
- When I was done with trials-and-errors and finalized my findings, that was when I made the necessary changes to the main page.
They're also really safe and useful for recording the not-yet-final results of your experiments in whatever format you desire.
- Unlike previews where your changes are not (yet) saved, you can save your progress in your personal sandbox pages;
- You can log off (or close your browser) then return to your work at a later time and your content will still be there.
- Unlike talk pages, where you are only supposed to append new messages (ie. not edit those you've already posted), with a personal sandbox, you can keep on updating the content of your sandbox pages as needed, especially when new information comes in;
- Unlike the global sandbox page, which gets cleaned up regularly, your content is safe in your own sandbox pages; and, lastly,
- Unlike main wiki pages, which only allow confirmed and verifiable info formatted properly,
-
-
you can record works-in-progress in your own sandbox pages without it getting reverted by an editor for being unconfirmed or unverified or improperly formatted, like this :)

The Skeleton Key

Weight | 0.5 | Value | 1,000 |
Uses | 50 | Quality | 5.0 |
The Skeleton Key is a high quality Daedric lockpick from Nocturnal. It has only 50 uses which should open every door in the game, with the exception of blocked doors and certain quest specific doors.
It can be obtained by a high ranking quest with the Thieves Guild Master Thief, Gentleman Jim Stacey in Vivec, in the Foreign Quarter Canalworks. See the Kill Hard-Heart quest for more information. If you are not a member of the Thieves Guild you may also acquire the key by killing Jim Stacey, though you cannot get it by pickpocketing him.
Notes
- With the Tribunal expansion, this artifact can be sold to Torasa Aram in the museum for anything but gold.
- The Skeleton Key also appears in Arena, Daggerfall, Oblivion, and Skyrim, though its function is not the same in the other games.
- The Morrowind Prophecies page 241 indicates that there was supposed to be multiple skeleton keys aside from the one Gentleman Jim Stacey would have given you. These are the Rusty Key with the key_skeleton construction set ID.
