Hunter[edit]
(Lifestyles-type Roleplaying)
Dang Varmints
Race: Wood Elf, Dark Elf, Khajiit.
Atributes: Agility, Speed.
Major Skills: Athletics, Alchemy, Acrobatics, Light Armor, Marksman, Mercantile, Sneak.
As a hunter, your only two friends will your stealth and your bow, (And of course your buyer.) use a class that reflects this or create a "Hunter" class using the stats above. Alchemy is important for making poisons from the many plants you find out there on the Road-Never-Traveled.
Now that you've broken out of jail and epic failed at protecting the emperor, the first thing you should do is hop, skip, and jump on up the the Market District, sell off any heavy armor and weapons other than your bow, and buy plenty of arrows and a single dagger(for roleplaying purposes).
Now, you need to decide what you want for game. here are some individual ideas:
Conventional Hunter
A simple and honest (if poor) source of income. What do deer, wolves, boars, and bears all have in common? They all cower before you! Pick an area for your hunting ground (may I suggest the open plains from Roland Jenseric's Cabin to Culotte?) Go out each day and slaughter the wildlife. This is where that dagger we mentioned earlier comes in. You can't just loot that venison from that deers pocket. Pull out that knife and slice it a couple of times to "clean" it. Bring your bounty back to your house and/or campsite and/or boulder and put it in a safe container. Once a week, travel to your buyer and sell off your mass wealth.
Monster Hunter
Now were getting interesting, why hunt deer when there are imps? Why hunt wolves when there are trolls? Why bears when there are minotaurs?
You frequent the fine establishments of Harcane Grove, Veyond, and Sedor. All mythical creatures start trying to headbutt fairytale books when they see you coming. (that is IF they see you coming.) Travel to cities and seek rumors of monsters in the area. You hear something about a guy named Jim having pet goblins north of Skingrad? You better get up there and send some harsh words his way!
Undead Hunter
Those creepy crawlies in the ayleid ruins are an affront to the Nine! Delve into any ayleid ruin, fort, cave, mine, tomb, chapel undercroft, and Skingrad house you come across in hopes of finding something to re-kill. Most of your income will not be coming from your game itself, but the ancient loot it was buried with decades, centuries, or even millenia ago. Undead dungeons have some of the finest loot you'll ever find. Don't forget to Enchant your bow!
Daedra Hunters
Okay, state the obvious, everyone hates daedra. Everyone. Even Daedra don't like other Daedra. Have you ever seen a Dark Seducer and a Golden Saint meet in a secluded place? You'll be making lots of people happy by hunting these bastards. Not only do they often carry valuble loot, Closing their portals to this world usually involves being able to enchant that bow picked up off that Dremora. A high income game at any level, this is a good choice.
Vampire Hunter
Before doing this one, I suggest completing Order of the Virtuous Blood to maximize income.
You hunt the vile beasts of the night. Every one of these animals you kill makes your pocket 250 coins heavier. Fanacas, Lipsand Tarn, Bloodcrust cavern, Fort Carmala. These are your workplaces. Kill every one you find and present their ashes to Roland Jenseric to live a vert wealthy lifestyle. If you reach you're goal of 100,000 vamps slain, you can move into Rosethorn Hall, This is by far a great choice, just dont forget to maintain a happy relationship with the Nine, and to prey at their alters. You wouldn't want to become the thing you hate. (or would you?)
Headhunter
This is simple enough. go out to the middle of nowhere, settle in, and kill anyone who enters your territory. Those foresters have no business coming near your fine rock. Where only leather or fur boots and greaves and a low class shirt. Take a valuable item (weapon, piece of armor, etc.) from everyone you kill and keep it as a trophy.
Treasure Hunter/Adventurer[edit]
(Fighter-type Roleplaying)
Race: Any Combat oriented race will do.
Birthsign: Warrior works best, but is you want the be something else, it won't hugely effect you.
Class: Call it Treasure Hunter or Adventurer.
Attributes: Strength, Personality.
Major Skills: Blade/Blunt (your choice), Block, Heavy Armor, Mercantile, Security (for accessing those pesky locked boxes), Armorer, Athletics.
Welcome to the life of a Treasure Hunter! Your career choice is the most exciting of them all. Your job is simple, visit the dark, damp corners of Cyrodiil, pick up anything you think will feed you, and set off to your friends at the Market District!
It is recommended to wait until level 10 to begin this roleplaying, so that you can get something that qualifies as "treasure" on your exploits.
Who needs shields? Get a large, two handed weapon, such as a Claymore, Battle Axe, or Warhammer, and you won't need a shield. Your standard two handed weapons weigh less than a weapon/shield combo. Extra room for you treasure!
Get your Armorer skill up to 50 so you can repair magical items, and start enchanting your Armor and Weapons. You have a collection of Sigil Stones, right? No?? Well then, you should be able to use the Enchanting Altar at the Mage's Guild, for their puny quests are nothing you can't handle. Clear a cave of zombies? Bah, you do that three times before lunch.
Now obviously, given that you are chosen by the Elder Scrolls to be awesome, you could clear out every ruin and cave in Cyrodiil within a week, but then you have to find a new job. Don't outdo yourself, one Troll infested hole a day is plenty. Return to your cabin, or camp, of boulder, of whatever you call shelter at night. Rest up, and leave your take from the day in a secret location that you can remember. Don't worry, player-dropped items are never lost, even when cells respawn. That is, of course, except for when a Legion soldier rides by and sees a Glass Longsword the sets people on fire lying in the middle of the road, so make sure your stashes are hidden off the beaten path.The ruins of the old All Things Alchemical is great for this.
Another good the to do is complete The quests in the market district, thus raising the Disposition of the merchants. You can then get better deals from them.
