A varlagea bird

The varlagea (meaning star-lore in Ayleidoon) is a type of animated construct of light that comes in many forms. The light of varlageais is typically light teal hued that forms a wiry network emanating from the varla stone core aloft at its center. Each varlagea has a unique form which seems to mimic fairytale things, story tropes, and other story archetypes. For example, varlageais might have the form of an old crone, a grimoire, or a storm. Snakes and other anguine forms are disproportionately common.
