Basic InformationBirthArayana was born in Windhelm, eastern Skyrim, in 4E 176, one year after the signing of the White-Gold Concordat and the end of the Great War. She is of both Altmer and Nord descent, and her mother Lythia permanently moved to Windhelm along with Bjorn, shortly after Arayana was conceived. ChildhoodBeing that Arayana's father is of Nord descent, whereas her mother is of Altmer descent, she received mixed racial perspectives growing up in Windhelm during the start of the Stormcloak Rebellion. As the base city for the rebellion and its' leader, Ulfric Stormcloak, both herself and her mother Lythia were shunned upon and immediately labelled as Thalmor spies. Her father Bjorn, who was once a respected war veteran, was also shunned as a traitor to the cause itself. Soon thereafter, he took heavily drinking into account and was often a regular in the Grey District. Life became much more hard done upon for her family as the rebellion reached its prime. One night, several of Windhelm's residents and townsfolk took it upon themselves after a night of drinking to take matters into their own account, and set fire to the Goldenblood residency. After the events had transpired, Arayana was forced to flee the city upon both of her parents' untimely deaths and traveled in solidarity ever since. PrimeAfter travelling for several years, at the age of 25, Arayana had an undying lust to tie up loose ends with her childhood. After hearing the same rumor in several of the other holds about an Aventus Aretino trying to contact none other than the Dark Brotherhood themselves. The only problem she faced was that the Aretino residence was in Windhelm. After serious debate, she took it upon herself to return to the place which gave her grief for many years afterwards. After confronting the young boy and realizing who the person of interest that the Black Sacrament was directed at, Arayana wasted no time and completed the meningeal task of killing Grelod the Kind. DeathPersonalityReligionHaving seen the distraught and destruction over the rebellion against the Aldmeri Dominion for banning the worship of Talos in Skyrim, it had a direct impact towards the racial negativities in Arayana’s childhood. Having such an effect on herself, she strayed away from the traditional worship of Aedra, and often made visits to the shrine dedicated to Azura, which was situated along the outskirts of Windhelm. PoliticsArayana’s childhood also had an impact on the way she viewed the current politics of the civil war brewing in Skyrim between the rebellion and the Empire having also sided with the Aldmeri Dominion. Having been brought up and raised by both sides who could have been viewed as political opponents, Arayana realizes that although the Stormcloak rebellion have a good cause to fight for, that the entirety of the civil war is more trouble than it’s worth. Because of this, she doesn’t choose to directly involve herself in any political preference. Major EventsReferences |
