General[edit]
Few people know of Divayth Fyr's Corprusarium. Fewer still know of the one resident within that still retains the majority of his mental faculties, Yagrum Bagarn.
Even though he is yet afflicted with the Divine Disease, Yagrum Bagarn is ever the tinkerer, and has crafted many devices for his wizard friend and his four daughters. His greatest creation is Chimer-4; a partially organic construct, crafted to preserve the remains of a dismembered Dunmer.
Chimer-4 is designed to be formidable with both sword and spell, as well as a modest understanding of security systems. Unable to speak, however, Chimer-4 finds it difficult to form meaningful relationships without the aid of Septims.
Appearance[edit]
From a distance, Chimer-4 appears to be a typical dunmer clad in a combination of Netch Leather and Adamantium armors. However, it becomes quite clear up close that he is anything but.
The shroud attached to his helmet obscures all but his eyes - one wild and full of rage, the other artificial, with tiny parts constantly moving as it takes in unimaginable amounts of visual information. Almost all of his limbs quietly hum and whir as he moves, occasionally releasing jets of steam as he adjusts the pressure in his arms for grip or his legs for gait. His breath sounds as artificial as the rest of his body - as if he were breathing through an empty jug with an open end.
Origin[edit]
Chimer-4 has virtually no recollection of his past - only that he had been a slave of a high Telvanni wizard. His last memory of his previous life was that of his master punishing him, something going terribly wrong, and then waking up next to an incredibly fat creature supported by spider-like metallic legs. The dwemer, Yagrum Bagarn, as he had introduced himself, explained to Chimer-4 that he had been delivered to Divayth Fyr's Corprusarium barely alive, and "blown to bits." He had been the fourth - and first successful - organic construct the dwemer had created.
Since Chimer-4's revival, Yagrum Bagarn has taught his creation how to control his artificial body parts to a much more precise extent than any organic ever could, how to communicate with others despite lacking a voice of his own, and updating him on current affairs. Though it's unclear what role Chimer-4 has to play in the days ahead, he knows that his place must be among men and mer, rather than in the bowels of the corprus asylum.
Personality[edit]
Chimer-4 seems to show little emotion, though it appears that he understands duty, compassion, ruthlessness, and cunning from a practical standpoint. He often uses body language to express himself, judiciously oiling the gears of understanding with coin.
Time Line[edit]
3E 424: Chimer-4 is awakened as a semi-organic construct by Yagrum Bagarn. Chimer-4 spends the following years developing motor and communication skills, later combat and survival skills.
3E 427: Chimer-4 travels Vvardenfell in the midst of a crisis. He is well aware that the political and spiritual state of the land is unstable, but he intends to let his destiny reveal itself to him in due time.
