Tyrvarion[edit]
Tyrvarion (talk+ • contribs • edit count • logs • email)
Tyrvarion is incredibly knowledgeable about much of the topics in the series, having written extensively in the Online and Lorespaces, as well as uploaded a great deal of images, supplying an invaluable service to the wiki of documenting many recent content updates. I keep on thinking to myself that he is already a patroller each time I see one of his contributions, this nomination has been on my mind for quite some time. Tyrvarion's quality of edits has only been improving over time and adhere very well to the manual of style, I believe they have all the good qualities of an excellent patroller.

- Support: Outstanding editor and I'm sure they'll be a great addition to the patroller team. --Ilaro (talk) 12:09, 31 January 2022 (UTC)
- Comment: While I agree that Tyvarion is a great editor, I do have concerns over spelling and grammar. Now, it's entirely possible english isn't your first language, or just rushing a little too much, but as a patroller, ensuring the highest quality of edits are the ones that are patrolled is important. Is there anything you can do to ensure that these spelling mistakes lessen? At the moment, that is my only concern keeping me from supporting this nomination. - Comment: I agree that my edits at times contain a lot of mistakes. When it comes to the spelling and grammar quality in my edits I believe additional proofreading should be something that I should definitely do, since, especially in case of the creation of bigger pages or editing bigger pieces of text I sometimes miss the obvious errors that later require corrections. Focusing on the quality rather than on quantity as well as taking things a bit slower are also things that I believe I can do in order to reduce and hopefully eliminate the errors.Tyrvarion (talk) 01:06, 3 February 2022 (UTC)
- Oppose: Further to Jeancey's point, I just did a partial copyedit of an article that Tyrvarion did almost all of. I wasn't able to keep going due to mental fatigue, but you can see what I did here. Individually, the problems were very minor, but collectively, they're more than I would expect from a patroller. That said, I think it's fantastic to see someone putting that kind of effort into our Lore pages! With a bit more improvement in grammar and spelling, I think Tyrvarion will be a very useful addition to the team in the future; I just don't feel he's quite there yet. – Robin Hood (talk) 19:05, 4 February 2022 (UTC)

- Comment: With all due respect, a lot of the fixes in that edit err on the side of nitpicking, its really only slight wording changes. While they improved readability, the article was just as coherent as before. In an entire article written from scratch I'm surprised it only needed that few. There is room for improvement, but in my opinion not enough needed to outweigh the pros and warrant an oppose. The Rim of the Sky (talk) 02:30, 5 February 2022 (UTC)
