Rename[edit]
Just a note to agree with the proposed move (I hope this talk page shows up on Rim's watchlist, as he's made the proposal!). While Balvvarden Isle still exists within two dialogue lines of the latest TR release, Althoa is what the island is referred to as in 66 other lines, and is clearly the intended name - that can be verified by running searches for 'Balvvarden' on the TR Discord too, where the rename to Althoa is discussed and then agreed. I'll move this page to a new Althoa page (and rename all Balvvarden references elsewhere in the TR namespace) assuming no objections by Dec 14, 22 Presto (talk) 17:11, 6 December 2022 (UTC)
- I saw it :) sounds good! Do we keep Balvvarden in the intro as an alt name i.e. "Althoa (also known as Balvvarden Isle) is" or should we move Balvvarden to the notes? The Rim of the Sky (talk) 21:53, 6 December 2022 (UTC)
- Wasn't the change made because the "vvarden" is Dwemeris vocabulary and thus senseless for an island without known Dwemer presence? If so, I think it would be better to move the name to the notes. - Sarilho1 (talk) 19:40, 8 December 2022 (UTC)
- That matches with past discussion between senior devs on the TR Discord channel - it sounds like the rename is intended to abandon the old name from their canon entirely (for the reasons Sarilho states). I'll move this (and linking pages) now and add a note section mentioning it was previously Balvvarden Isle. Thanks both! Presto (talk) 13:31, 18 December 2022 (UTC)
