Cap'n Fentus asked me to bring him the legendary Eye of Argonia. According to Fentus, the gem is in the possession of Ephaie Calicca, a Navy officer, aboard the warship Princess Morgiah. Ephaie Calicca is under orders to give the gem to a Navy agent who knows the secret code word. I should pose as the agent. Fentus told me the code word is 'scurvy mudcrab'. |

Despite my best efforts, I couldn't get my hands on the Eye of Argonia, even with the secret code word. Instead, I wound up in the warship's brig. |

I refused to reveal that Cap'n Fentus sent me to steal the Eye of Argonia. Rather unexpectedly, Ephaie Calicca commended me on my stalwartness and told me I'm free to go. I should let Fentus know what happened. |

Cap'n Fentus told me that Ephaie Calicca is in fact an old friend of his and that the whole wild goose chase after the Eye of Argonia was a test. He didn't appreciate the fact I gave his name during the "interrogation". A thief should never betray another thief, according to him. Fentus gave me 30 septims for my trouble. I should talk to him again if I want another job -- a real one this time. |

Fentus was very happy. He didn't have a reward for me, but gave me a firm handshake instead. I should talk to him again if I want another job -- a real one this time. |

Cap'n Fentus did not take the news of Ephaie Calicca's death well. I'm no longer welcome in the Empress Katariah inn. |
