Identify and avenge a corpse pulled from the Thirr. |
|
|
|
Quick Walkthrough[edit]
- Speak to Manyn Llando in Almas Thirr's Temple about an unknown corpse.
- Enter the Canalworks Tomb and take the Interesting Amulet from the Unknown Body.
- Ask around about the interesting amulet (e.g. at the Tailors and Dyers Hall in the Lower Waistworks).
- Travel to Roa Dyr's Clerks' Hall and speak to Jivor Voloth.
- Journey to Selyn and give the amulet to Irvasa Sorvas, and either:
- Break the bad news (unlocks Calm Waters reward).
- Lie.
- Report the corpse's identity to Manyn Llando.
- Go to Hlan Oek and ask dockworkers and fishermen about Aldam Sorvas.
- Speak to Gidain Verayn at the Docks Warehouse and kill him.
- Find Manyn in the Canalworks Tomb and talk to him about Aldam Sorvas.
- (Optional) Give the money you took from Gidain's corpse to Irvasa Sorvas.
- There is a Docks Warehouse Key for the warehouse's locked doors on the shelves in the southern corner of the room you first enter.
- The name of this quest is likely a reference to one of the originally proposed names for the 23.10 Andaram release (encompassing Hlan Oek, which the quest heavily features), although "Tainted Waters" proved divisive among the development team and so was ultimately discarded in favor of "Andaram".

Manyn Llando, a priest working at the Temple of Almas Thirr, told me that the body of an unknown Dunmer was recently fished out of the Thirr. Manyn was distressed by his death, and wants to find out who the young mer was before performing the funeral. I have agreed to look into the matter. The unknown corpse is currently located in the Canalworks Tombs. |

I found an interesting amulet on the young Dunmer's corpse. |

I learned that the unknown Dunmer's amulet of is of a particular traditional Velothi design, and most likely belongs to someone hailing from the Indoril lands just east of Almas Thirr. Someone in Roa Dyr might know more about the origin of this particular amulet. |

|
I was told that the unknown Dunmer's amulet most likely belonged to someone from the hamlet of Selyn, just south of Roa Dyr. |

I spoke with Irvasa, the mother of Aldam Soras. She identified the amulet as belonging to her son. Irvasa told me that Aldam recently moved to Hlan Oek for work, and that he's been sending a decent amount of gold back home every now and then. |

I've informed Irvasa Soras of the passing of her son. She was devastated by the loss, and didn't want to speak another word with me. |

|
I reported the corpse's identity as being that of Aldam Soras. Manyn Llando thanked me for identifying him and told me he'd prepare a proper funeral for the young mer. He asked me to go to Hlan Oek and find out what happened to him. |

|
I learned that Aldam Sorvas worked in Hlan Oek at the docks warehouse. |

|
Gidain Verayn, a Camonna Tong member, freely admitted to killing Aldam. He told me that Aldam was getting cold feet about their "business" at the docks. |

|
Gidain Verayn is dead. I should return to Manyn Llando, who will be preparing Aldam's funeral in the Canalworks Tombs. |

|
Aldam was murdered by Gidain Verayn, whom I killed earlier. I should return to Manyn Llando, who will be preparing Aldam's funeral in the Canalworks Tombs. |

Manyn Llando thanked me for bringing Aldam Sorvas' murderer to justice. |
