Simund the Singer

Simund the Singer is a Nord bard who can be found in The Note In Your Eye in Tel Muthada. He has recently begun singing sad songs about a woman he loves but cannot be with, Attia Saradelphin, much to the frustration of his employer and his customers. To help bring happy customers back to the bar, he needs to either get back together with Attia, or be replaced by another bard.

He wears a chain cuirass, a pair of Imperial chain pauldrons, a set of bear greaves, a pair of bear boots, and a pair of bear gauntlets. He wields a Nordic broadsword, and carries a copy of The Cavern Door, a copy of Book of Nordic Proverbs, and a lute.

Aside from his natural resistance to shock, immunity to frost, ability to shield himself, and a natural frost damage spell, he knows no spells.

"%Name sings, sings of the marvellous %PCName; %PCName is the best mage, warrior or thief; any coin ye have, would be a relief."

  • latest rumors:
"Simund is an excellent source of rumors; he only hopes he's as good with his humor!"
"In Tel Muthada, there lives a wizard, pretty and fair; and if you don't call her that you get fire in your hair!"

"Simund is a singer, and he sings quite well; watch out, you might fall under his spell!"
  • Tel Muthada:
"Tel Muthada is a lovely place, I hope this is how it stays. I like the tunnel and the waterfall. The tower stands tall for all to see as they make their approach."

A Nord's Sad Song[edit]

  • Greeting:

If you have told him there's no way Attia will be with him OR if Attia is dead:

"Please, leave me." Goodbye
  • sad songs:
"Ah, if only she knew I loved her. Have you seen her? With her lovely brown hair and beautiful skin? It seems I've found true love at last, although, sadly, the same cannot be said of her. She barely notices me, and she lives so far away. Worse still, it seems her heart is set on another man. So you see how I'll never be able to be with her. If only she could notice that I love her."
  • Who?: "Who but Attia Saradelphin? The beautiful Imperial was here in Tel Muthada spreading the word of the Imperial Cult but was taken away before I could speak to her. Now she is in Helnim, far away from here, in a place too Cyrodillic for the likes of me, so I cannot enter. I say, couldn't you express my love to her? Give her this flower and tell her that I love her, please? Will you do it, for love's sake?"
  • Certainly.: "Oh, thank you my friend. Remember, Attia's at the Chapel of Kynareth in Helnim. I'll be here, anxiously awaiting her reply." (You receive a Gold Kanet)
"Please be swift, my friend."
"You say that she cannot even meet me? I suppose that means I will just have to sit here for the rest of my life singing of the love that could've been. Thank you for trying, my friend. Now please, leave me."
"Convert to the Imperial Cult? Why, for the love of my life, I would do anything. I shall go to their Chapel and speak with her when I have the time."
"If all goes well, we'll be married very soon."
"Yes, my friend, it happened! All thanks to you, my friend -- and by the grace of the Nine -- Attia and I have met and are now happily married. Here, you can have this as a sign of my gratitude. Thank you again!" (You receive a Dire Flamesword)
"I can never thank you enough, my friend."

If Attia is dead:

"I shall always sing them, in mourning of my lost love." Goodbye
