Obainat Camp

Obainat Camp is the camp of a newfound Ashlander tribe southeast of Savrethi Distillery.

At the time of your arrival, the Obainat are ancestor-less and increasingly dissatisfied with their current Ashkhan, Asha-tara Undunbael. It was Asha-tara who formed the Obainat, bringing together members of various clans that have been rendered near extinct by the increased settlement of House Hlaalu. Those found at the camp still remember the names of their old tribes - Adairenat, Damanu, Harambub and Yeshorbat, with this affecting how they wish to act with regards to the encroaching Hlaalu.

A faction led by Massur-Dan has become infuriated by Asha-tara's cautious approach to the Hlaalu of the nearby Savrethi Distillery. One member of Massur-Dan's faction, Hibdun Senatmiran, will even invite you to help with Poisoning the Well that feeds the distillery. When the distillery's owner, Mandaras Savrethi, asks you to persuade the Obainat to leave, the Ashlander reaction is furious. Massur-Dan attempts to kill the man, while the wise-woman, Musa Ashadallit, urges caution, and comes up with a more cunning plan to make a fool of him.

Resolving these divided allegiances forms a core part of the Obainat's Nerevarine quest, Obainat Nerevarine, in which you obtain ancestors for the tribe and assist in the election of a new Ashkhan - one who will truly decide their new attitudes towards the Hlaalu.
