Koglings are vengful fey spirits found in the pine forest of Skyrim. They are said to be awoken when blood is spilled under a pine tree, whereupon they seek out those who have defiled their domain. Many legends surround koglings, such as that they abduct Nord babies and use their blood to make more koglings, emit sounds similar to falling pinecones, and are able to recognize the faces of those whose blood was spilled in their forest.

Koglings come in three recognized forms: kogling buds, adult koglings, and elder koglings; only adult and elder koglings are aggressive. Bark scales and bark hearts can be harvest from their bodies once killed.
