Safe[edit]

this safe for makeshift player housing? ie are the containers safe? or do they reset after awhile? if they aren't going to reset and delete items then will the old man take some my stuff? if not good cuase I kinda want a pet wolf in a cage and an old butler guy who'll say "good luck out there" whenever i leave from stashing items. if its a good location(blind dude won't open boxes or take items left laying out and the containers won't reset) then how long does it take bodies to disappear? don;t need stinking corpses lying about — Unsigned comment by 24.38.223.147 (talk) at 05:45 on 1 March 2012

No, it's not. Safe locations are now marked in the Safe Locations category. There might be individual containers that are safe, but not all of them.

Imp Stool source[edit]

While maybe not true, I find it notable that this Dungeon is the best resource for players to get lots of Imp Stool. According to CK, 19 Plants are present, whereas I always left with only 14-15 samples.
Some of them are placed badly in the cell and are burried halfway or otherwise obstructed, and some require careful aiming to harvest, as only a small portion of the cluster may show the action to harvest.
Anyway, for beginners and expert poisoners, it seems to be the easiest location for many imp stool: close to a big town (Whiterun), poisonable enemies (meaning no vampires or automatons), respawns in 10/30 days (uncleared/cleared), has other mushrooms, has an alchemy lab, and is relatively easy to clear. Get "Green Thumb" Perk, and you will be rich of impstool in no time.-MarukiTheFaceHater (talk) 05:08, 28 May 2013 (GMT)

Mountain Climbing[edit]

Just to explain my removal a bit more thorougly, numerous mountain ranges and hills that're supposed to be difficult/impossible to climb can actually be climbed. Just as proof of concept, I got the Notched Pickaxe once without ever having started the main quest (not counting escaping Helgen, of course). Others have reported similar techniques being usable in numerous other locations as well, so I don't see it as being especially notable here. And as I write this, I'm discovering that there's apparently a page dedicated to the whole notion: Mountain Climbing. Robin Hood  (talk) 06:33, 22 January 2014 (GMT)

No Bounty quest in this location[edit]

No matter how many times I generate the quest, it never generates White River Watch as target dungeon.

The interesting issue here is: There are two Refs at that specific dungeon marked by Alias as "Boss". And also, they are both in an exterior cell (chances are it was already loaded when I entered Whiterun). That may have something to do with that but I'm not sure. — Unsigned comment by Ged- (talkcontribs) at 17:36 on 16 April 2020‎

Are you using the unofficial patch? There's an old bug report of various issues with White River Watch. The Version History says that the quest isn't properly terminated, so I suspect that would make it unavailable for most quests in an unpatched game (which we should probably note). Inaccessible area?[edit]

The map shows some inaccessible areas. Has anyone tried to use whirlwind sprint to check them out? — Unsigned comment by 75.189.134.238 (talk) at 18:52 on 27 November 2020 (UTC)
