Location Details[edit]
For the book SSE of Hillgrund's Tomb:
- On the north side of the river, look for the fallen tree crossing the ravine
- On the NW side of the tree bridge, about 20 paces north of the tree-bridge root ball, is what looks like a large trees' trunk remnant (maybe from when the bridge-tree fell?)
- The remnant is a hollow, shallow, round shell of bark and outer wood, taller than an average person, with the hollow facing away from the ravine
- Inside the hollow there is a chest on the left, and a leveled bow leaning against the right side, with a leveled arrow leaning near the bows' base
- (the arrow can be very difficult to see in the shadows - mousing around between the top-front chest corner and the bow should reveal its location)
- The book is on the ground just in front of the left side of the chest
- (In my various adventures, the bow/arrow was Orcish/Steel at Level 7, Dwarven/Orcish at level 13, and Elven/Orcish at level 20)
- Note: don't forget the nearby bandits! - The first is a body near the root-ball end, ready to fall over the lip of the ravine - covering an Orcish dagger,
- The 2nd is alive and hostile, about half way across the bridge (and on one occasion fell off while shooting at a spider on the other side, lol),
- The last is a body at the bottom of the ravine, on a shallow beach slightly downstream on the far end of the tree-bridge
