Differences from Oblivion

I don’t actually know what Rielle is like in Oblivion or how the Skyrim version is different, would anyone mind filling me in? The only other Ayleid ruin I’ve been to is Piukanda. Jaekelopterus3 (talk) 23:06, 24 August 2022 (UTC)

Watch your followers in the hall to the last chamber!

Went down the hall and triggered the pressure plate to enter the last chamber, with the Great Welkynd Stone, and one of my followers triggered the plate AGAIN, and locked us all in. GRRRRR! Now I have to do the whole Rielle crypt again, cuz there's no way to reopen the gates to get back out, and I didn't stack saves incrementally. Either tell your followers to WAIT, or only take one, and ease past the edge of the pressure plate, so it only gets triggered once; by the follower. — Unsigned comment by Mwils211 (talk • contribs) at 20:20 on 6 January 2023 (UTC)

Pressure plate bug?

Well, at least it's accurate to the original game. I've heard reports of this from other players as well. I have added it to the page as a bug pending verification or further details. —⁠Legoless (talk) 11:02, 15 July 2024 (UTC)

Confirmed, pressure plates do NOT work, quest cannot be completed, no fix possible other than to toggle collusion by console to pass the gates. 174.28.4.134 04:46, 24 January 2025 (UTC)

Hello, same person who posted the confirmation above. The bug occurs if I in ANY way deviate from the quest markers on first visit. Hard save outside Rielle, tested several times last night, confirmed. Quest is VERY finicky. SO: Do NOT explore, do NOT wander about, I don't CARE how much loot is there to be nabbed, you can go back and get it later. Follow the quest markers, kill what attacks you. The switches in front of each gate WILL work then. Tested, works. Deviate even slightly, go wandering off? Boom - they don't work, can't get through without plate-glitch or console, that's that. Exactly WHERE I'm going that breaks it, I do not know, but it does break if you wander around trying to loot everything. I'll leave it to other more patient souls to try to figure out exactly what causes this, I'm afraid it's a bit much for me at present. 174.28.20.96 22:37, 24 January 2025 (UTC)
