Dragons were never gone[edit]

I might have found an invisible dead dragon I killed previously lying somewhere. This named dragon was one of these resurrected by Alduin from a mound. After killing it for a few days, I happened across the same spot. The dragonbone is still there and I can open its inventory. Just that it has been turned invisible by the game. Could this be the case? -Joshua.yathin.yu (talk) 11:04, 20 January 2017 (UTC)

Dragons turninginvisible in-game is definitly a bug. And while it could be possible that bethesda found this bug, but decided not to fix it but rather give M'aiq a line refering to it, this line being a reference to morrowind is much more likely. -- SarthesArai Talk 15:03, 20 January 2017 (UTC)
Meaning that there isn't somebody already tracing this phenomenon? -Joshua.yathin.yu (talk) 17:37, 20 January 2017 (UTC)
I've never encountered this. Doesn't seem like a common enough bug to be a reference. It's more likely referring to the Morrowind line about invisible dragons. —Legoless (talk) 19:58, 20 January 2017 (UTC)

Who is M'aiq?[edit]

I believe the name M'aiq the Liar is a reference to Mike Lipari, who was a programmer for ES3,4 and 5.--Calin (talk) 19:00, 7 June 2018 (UTC)

Attacking M'aiq the Liar[edit]

On this other wiki http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/M%27aiq_the_Liar_(Skyrim) ,it says that if the dragonborn attacks M'aiq the Liar in the presence of a Thieves Guild member, all the Thieves Guild members will become hostile, Is This True? 70.70.244.204 02:18, 2 September 2018 (UTC)

It's hard to say. The only time this could happen is when you exploit Mercer, or Karliah and Brynjolf during the quests they follow you. They allege that there is a script that adds the guild faction, but I can only see some scripting to add a faction "that hates itself" which the Thieves Guild Faction does not, and there is no mention of being kicked out of the faction, which would also happen should you assault a member. It would need someone to check M'aiq in the game to see what the script does. Silence is GoldenBreak the Silence 15:15, 2 September 2018 (UTC)

Re: the Blind Falmer[edit]

"M'aiq knows why Falmer are blind. It has nothing to do with the Dwemer disappearing. Really." Uhhh... this seems like an extremely obvious joke about the popular myth that masturbation causes blindness. If that's considered too declassé to include on the main page, so be it, but I'm quite sure that's the reference here, not anything about the real lore of the game. 73.87.137.195 17:28, 22 August 2022 (UTC)
