Letrush Attacks Player[edit]
Could use some help. I saw him for the first time in the game about 85 hours in at the bee and the barb tavern in Riften. Now he follows me everywhere attacking me and I can't lose him or kill him. Makes the game unplayable. Anybody figure out how to get rid of him? — Unsigned comment by Van258 (talk • contribs) at 07:28 on 25 November 2011
- If you are playing on a PC, then you could try disabling him through the console commands. Just open up the console, click on Letrush and type "disable". This should normally get rid of him for good (not confirmed as I have never seen multiple copies of him). 92.233.132.178 10:34, 30 November 2011 (UTC)

- I was attacked by Louis Letrush almost directly after the quest where you meet Sanguine the daedric prince and he gives you something (trying to avoid spoilers). The point at which he attacks is when you get teleported to the inn. He's waiting inside the inn. I'm really hoping the 1.2 patch fixes this. — Unsigned comment by 77.102.241.129 (talk) at 10:53 on 30 November 2011

- Encountered him for the first time near the Black Briar Lodge outside Riften after stealing Frost's papers and Frost himself. However, he was hostile, and so couldn't turn the quest into him. Beat him up multiple times and can't kill him; he kneels for a bit and gets back up with full health ready to assault me and my follower again. Halp? 59 hours in, haven't yet encountered duplicates but I'm probably just going to reload a save prior to Promises To Keep. 216.160.156.195 20:26, 1 December 2011 (UTC)

- I can confirm this glitch, had it also. LeTrush was attacking me though I don't see any reason why. Disabling him via the console helped, though the NPC is gone then. Only his two duplicates remained. Still the case after Patch 1.2. — Unsigned comment by 79.249.127.138 (talk) at 21:57 on 3 December 2011 (UTC)

- same for me, I completed the quest and took Frost from him and extorted him then I got thugs sent out to kill me because he hired them. Now he just stands at the whiterun stables and doesnt do anything and cant be killed. — Unsigned comment by 67.71.141.222 (talk) at 13:00 on 4 December 2011

- I may have a version of this glitch, or there may need to be one more addition to the "Consequences" section. I stole Frost without informing Maven of the plot. The only thugs I killed during the quest were outside the lodge. I then extorted Letrush (while wearing the Amulet of Articulation) and kept the horse. No thug appeared near Letrush, and none have appeared since, but Letrush has moved to the stable in front of Whiterun, where he does nothing but stand near my horse and look creepy. He will respond when spoken to, and shuffle his feet, but he never walks away. I'm not sure if this is a bug, or the intended consequence of stealing Frost and keeping him and leaving Maven out of it. KeturahIshtari (talk) 08:26, 17 September 2013 (GMT)

(←) I had the same problem on the PS3 when I entered the Bee and the Barb tavern for the first time, as soon as it loaded he would pull his knife out and attack me... couldn't kill him as he was essential and wouldn't leave me alone. I tried a save from about an hour or so playtime prior and when I entered the tavern he was normal and rather than attack offered me the promises quest like he should. I then reloaded my most recent save and on entering the tavern he was aggressive. I reloaded again, fast traveled to Whiterun and back and then entered the tavern. This time he was normal like he should be. I saved and then reloaded again to test out waiting in Riften, but that didn't seem to work, and I haven't tried simply zoning out of Riften and back in although I suspect that could be all it takes. Hope this helps anyone else who this happens to. --Vendral 12:57, 11 January 2012 (UTC)
- All you have to do is pay your crime gold in Riften. Louis is hostile because of the bounty you've gained from stealing Frost. Once the bounty is gone, he becomes normal again. --[[User:Anonymous] 3:07, 7 April 2012 — Unsigned comment by 122.107.107.25 (talk)

- I'm having the problem on the Xbox, but instead of one clone, I have 3 clones for a total of 4 Louis Letrush. They all appear outside of Whiterun stables and I have never spoken to him before or accepted his quest. All 4 of them begin to attack me if I get near to them. I have tried many of the suggestions to fixing this and can't get it to change. He is an un-killable NPC and until I find a way to fix this bug, I will be enjoying the fact that I can continually Fos-Ro-Dah his 4 clones into the rocks of Whiterun.

Letrush Clones[edit]
I just found two of them outside Whiterun Stables. Thing is, I completed the quest and gave him the horse. I followed him for a time, until we got to that fort north of Riften and he and Frost died there due to the bandits. I hope they get rid of him in a Patch but they have bigger things to fix first. — Unsigned comment by 71.66.111.229 (talk) at 11:32 on 1 October 2012
- The NPC Louis Letrush still is bugged on Skyrim version 1.8.151.0.* for PC. The date of this post is 24/01/2013. — Unsigned comment by 177.18.66.109 (talk) at 11:18 on 24 January 2013

- Still bugged as of 10 Jan 2014. Though I did have to use console commands to make him and Frost appear at all in the first place.
Can't talk with Letrush[edit]
So I met him an a Sibbi Black-Briar. I can't talk with him and when he speaks random phrases, there is no his name in subtitles. I can't kill him, but when I try it, his name doesn't appear on health bar.
I tried to speak with him to start quest Promises to Keep, I've didn't speak with Sibbi Black-Briar yet. Is it a bug or something? I played on XBOX so I can't use console. — Unsigned comment by 95.37.227.17 (talk) at 19:26 on 29 January 2013
Bug fix[edit]
YOU MUST WAIT FOR 24 HOURS BEFORE YOU GO NEAR HIM, THEN GO NEAR HIM AND THE BUG WILL FIX ITSELF — Unsigned comment by 119.224.15.87 (talk) at 03:27 on 15 August 2013
Quest walkthrough on NPC[edit]
Noticed this NPC article appears to be more of a Promises to Keep quest walkthrough, including a lot of dialogue that is not from, or pertaining to, Louis Letrush. Should this be edited to highlight his part in the quest rather than the actual quest details? Just wondering as I didn't want to go editing a bunch that should actually be there...--Beezer1029 (talk) 19:32, 22 August 2014 (GMT)
