Skyrim talk:Ignite
this is the highest dps spell in game with the illusion perk 50.99.131.242 01:21, 19 February 2013 (GMT)
Can anyone add that wearing Dragonborn:Ahzidal_(item) with both illusion and destruction perks brings it up to 17 dmg per 15 sec totaling 250 dmg. I haven't written here in a while and I don't want to screw up the formatting. Also, I would like to know how it behaves when dual casting. John3 (talk) 23:11, 16 January 2014 (GMT)
Dual-casting[edit]
My experiments on mammoths (931 health points, no fire/magic resist) on Adept difficulty with both Augmented Flames perk and Aspect of Terror enabled after it shown following results:
- Casting single Ignite and waiting until it wears off took HP down to 633, dealing 298 total damage
- Dual-casting Ignite and waiting until it wears off took HP down to 533, dealing 398 total damage
- Casting Ignite from both hands without dual-casting took HP down to 336, dealing 595 total damage
It seems that Ignite doesn't benefit from dual-casting the same way as normal spells do. Can anyone confirm that? -- lerarosalene (talk) 19:24, 26 January 2025 (UTC)
- Now that I think about it, most probably dual-casting boosts only damage granted by the Augmented Flames perks. Total theoretical dps of ignite is 6 + 15 = 21, where 6 is because of Augmented Flames and 15 is added by Aspect of Terror. If you apply dual-casting formula only to first part, you will get 6 · 2.2 + 15 = 28.2 dps, which over the course of 15 seconds should deal 28.2 · 15 = 423 damage, which is sufficiently around experimental 398 damage, considering that real damage of single cast is also lower than theoretical 315. -- lerarosalene (talk) 19:33, 26 January 2025 (UTC)
