Large Quantity of Arrows[edit]
Aringoth had an abnormally large quantity of arrows in his inventory: 20 Elven, 30 Dwarven, 22 Steel, 19 Orcish, and 18 Iron. He also had an Elven Bow. — Unsigned comment by 75.34.56.243 (talk) at 21:49 on 23 February 2012
- It's unclear, but that was probably intentional. He's marked to get 12 random sets of arrows, but each set is also potentially up to 12 arrows (average set would be 9 arrows). It's possible that the designer was just thinking he wanted Aringoth to have 12 arrows, however looking around at a few other NPCs, most of them have multiple sets of arrows as well. The highest I saw in random checks was Karliah, with 20 sets. – Robin Hood↝talk 05:37, 18 March 2012 (UTC)

- Interesting. Also, highest possible quality bow, dagger, and arrows for the player's level is too strong a description in my opinion. I entered his house at level 56, started the quest after I was level 54 I think, and entered the second floor at 57. He has an Elven bow and dagger and sets of arrows of that quality and below. That's definitely not highest possible level. I found an Ebony Sword in one of the chests downstairs, so the house seems to fit my level.--Playerseekingbugs (talk) 05:21, 17 December 2012 (GMT)
Aringoth and Enthir possibly mixed up in game data?[edit]
As i recall, in the Thieves Guild quest involving Enthir, Enthir refers to himself as a High Elf, although he's a Wood Elf. Aringoth is called a Wood Elf by several people, although he's a High Elf who even has a bow and a crapload of arrows.
I'm wondering if, somehow, the two got mixed up in the game data, if Aringoth's sprite got mixed up with Enthir's sprite, causing the inconsistancies in the two's races. Obviously, this is little more than speculation since we may not be able to prove this, but the two having their races mixed up with each other seems like more than coincidence to me... - While this is a plausible assumption, they may not be related: both Enthir and Aringoth are typically Bosmeri names (if you search their endings – "thir" and "oth" – in the Altmer names, you will find none (not counting Aringoth), as opposed to multiple in the Bosmer names). I believe that they are two separate bugs: Aringoth was intended to be a Bosmer, and Enthir was intended to refer to himself as a Bosmer. However, it is still possible that the character of Enthir was meant to be an Altmer, but was given a Bosmer name after the mix-up, validating your assumption. Where he stays[edit]
Aringoth stays in the same position in which you found him during the quest Loud and Clear, i.e., beside the bookshelves crouched down. Just thought I'd mention this, if it hasn't been already. — Unsigned comment by Eldubya (talk • contribs) at 12:08 on 26 June 2013 (GMT)
