Skyrim Mod:A Tale of Blood and Snow/Dreameater Clan

The Dreameater Clan are a group of vampires founded and lead by Vidmar Dreameater after he left the Cronvangr Clan.

Background

After his coup failed to wipe out all members of the Cronvangr Clan who were not aligned with him, Vidmar and his surviving followers went on the run from his former clanmates. For centuries, they would move from lair to lair, constantly trying to avoid retribution from Vlkoslak and Velfred, who now led the Cronvangr Clan. Sometime before 4E 201, Vidmar and his clan would make their home in Stormcaller Temple, an abandoned shrine to Vaermina near Dawnstar. After turning several cultists from the nearby Nightcaller Temple into new fledglings, Vidmar and his clan would become followers of Vaermina; and in time, their devotion to their new patron would be rewarded.

By the time of the conflict between the Cronvangr and Quarra clans, Vaermina has granted Vidmar and his followers a special artifact suited for vampires: The Dreamcatcher Coffin. When used in combination with a special potion, vampires can sleep without suffering terrible nightmares endemic to their kind. However, a vampire must sleep in the coffin once every nine days and experience the combined nightmares of everyone who has imbibed the potion. While Vidmar and his followers were more than willing to make use of the potion, they instead planned to capture or force fledglings to endure the coffin's effects for their own benefit.
