Home Improvement Gone Wrong[edit]
Thanks to your efforts to help the clan reassert their authority in the province, Rakoslad has finally gotten the extra hands he needed to start cleaning up the hall and excavating the collapsed areas. Unfortunately, this has revealed an area of the hall filled with draugr, which could break out and attack the clan if they aren't dealt with. Rakoslad will give you the key and ask you to wipe out everything inside while he ensures nothing slips out behind you.

Other than the plaques depicting frostbite spiders and the ghostly spiders you see skittering around, the Cronvangr Temple is more or less just like any other Nordic ruin in Skyrim. The goal is to kill a Draugr necromancer named Jungorn Spider-Caller, but you'll have to fight your way through numerous undead minions and spectral spiders. Along the way you will come across a much larger spectral spider named Ithythiirix guarding an altar to Mephala, where you can acquire a spell tome which will allow you to summon your own ghostly spiders. Once everything in the temple is dead and buried once more, return to Rakoslad and he will agree to hold off on any more excavations for the time being, and reward you with an enchanted ring which offers bonuses to your sneaking abilities.
- The presence of Jungorn Spider-Caller and Ithythiirix lends more proof to the theory that the Cronvangr were created from a Mephala cult, rather than a member of Ysgramor's companions as Vlksolak would prefer.
